Martha Wittmer & Jacob Schwartz make a very interesting pair. Their brother and sister, but thats not the interesting part. They grew up as part of the Amish county in Pennsylvania. Meaning they had no use to electricity and most of all music. After sneaking out one night over boredom, they came to the real world, saw the great lights, music and people and spent the next two years plotting an escape from the Amish County of Landcaster. Once that was successfully done, the first thing Martha and Josh did was gather up some money and hitch hike a long ride to Canada. Working in Canada, they earned some money and came back to the U.S with some Canadian dollars, traded in all the money and hopped right in the studio, continuing on, they begin making money playing in clubs and doing small gigs around the U.S and tri state area. Eager to Party Scholars finally made enough to live comfortably (but pay check to pay check). However they love their life away from the Amish and founded their talents of singing and instrument usage. This, all happening over 5 years. The Eager To Party Scholars
1. How did you guys all meet?
Jacob: Well Martha and I, were brother and sister. We pretty much... met when I was 2 and she was a baby, I guess?
Martha: Yes, something like that.
2. What made you decide to become a band?
Jacob: Well it kind of started since growing up with an Amish Family, well sorry not to explain already... but we were born in an Amish county and Amish living is a way of living with strict rules. It seems kind of over the top but its true and once your born into it, you kind of live with it I guess?
Martha: Yes.. very strict. Things like.. no air plane usage, a dress code is followed, Boys and men wear hats outside of the house, suspenders and pants and shirts are usually made by the women, Girls and women must keep their head covered with bonnet or prayer cap there plenty others right?
Jacob: Yeah..Amish must marry other Amish, an Amish child may not keep his/her own money until we are married or until they turn 21.. that really sucked...(looks down)
Martha: Were getting sidetracked!
Jacob: Yes, I'm sorry. Anyway, we sort of always enjoyed music, the orchestral type of Amish music was a favorite of ours so we began singing at churches.. that was the upper hand coming up. We loved music so much that me and my sis just formed a band..
3. What sort of influences do you have?
Martha: Electro Music, Indie,New Wave and Synth are most influenced in our music
4. What are your ambitions within the music industry?
Jacob: To actually make it big time, all this hard work has to pay off somewhere, you know?
Martha: Agreed, we worked so hard for this.. and I mean..hard.
5. What was it like being a part of AATW?
Martha: It was fun! So much fun, pretty upset we didn't get to finish the show ..
Jacob: Yeah, I was so upset about that...
6. Do you think you gained anything from being on the show?
Jacob: We actually did. Well , I for one learned that a lot of people really want this.. and where not the only ones fighting, its every man for themselves, even if people seem as your friends..
Martha: I agree with Jacob, we learned that everyone can be nice, but their looking to knock you down to win ..
7. Do you have any material set for release?
In Unison: YES.. we do actually.
Martha: We have been discovered by some artists and a very special artist has asked us to produce some of their music and get on a track with thim
8. Who do you think will be the (in game) stars of 2011?
Martha: Hm.. I think anyone has a shot.
Jacob: Yeah, we really cant single out anyone because anything can happen..
9. What was your favorite (in game) album of 2010?
Jacob: I'd have to say.. Brandon Caulfields E.P that came out in December. Even though it wasn't really mastered and had 5 tracks.. those five tracks has a lot more substance then a lot of music out there!
Martha: On the mainstream market.. well there are so many. I'd have to say either Brittany's Halfway There E.P or Michelle Green's The Voice Of Me, such raw talent.
10. What are your opinions of the labels out there?
Martha: I think their great! We would be happy if any of the many out their picked us up.
11. What would it mean to you for a mainstream label to approach you?
Jacob: So much....

The Eager to Party Scholars, a band that has generated a nice buzz in the music business. We first saw them on huge music competition All Around The World as a force to be reckon with during the show. Becoming the top 3 for the weeks that the show lived before ultimately being shut down. After the show, the duo quieted down and it seemed as if there would be no more TETPS but that all changed in 2011. The Underground, which is a website and organization that highlights some of the most talented underground and up and coming acts of the year highlighted the Eager To Party Scholars. They automatically revived this buzz they once had stating that they have been hard at work, and quiet all because of it as well. The ending of January became the duo's big break, when they were approached by Michelle Green's team and they were proposed an opening act spot on the icon's tour and of course, TETPS accepted. Although due to their endeavors the duo had to leave The Underground to pursue other things and this is one of them. The Eager To Party Scholars debut single entitled Moonstruck has finally surfaced on the net.
Moonstruck has a very uber catchy melody that mixes two huge musical influences in Indie and Electronic music. And features synths, keyboards and the electric guitar. The song is about being 'moon struck', which is in other words, crazy. The song encourages anyone who is crazy (in a good way) or 'weird', to flaunt the fact that their weird, not to be stuck as an outsider just because they look different, act different or dress different but to use their "difference" as a secret power in society because in their opinion society makes people who do things entirely different from others, seem like the outsiders, and their not. The song can be looked at as inspiration, true or more negatively, controversial but what we can say is that the song does make year ears fall into heaven listening to the electronic sounds and instruments played by Jacob and Martha themselves. As this song is released, we are eager to see how this song does, because although there are alot of labels looking to pick up the duo, they are taking chances and waiting to see how well the single does before signing any contracts what soever, and luckily got marketing dollars and distribution through 'The Underground' . How far can this this duo go after releasing this great single?

We are so shocked that everything is moving so fast and people actually know us, its unbelievable. Just popped in to say we really adore all of you amazing fans and this is all for you. Without you and all the hard work, we doubt all of this could have happened. We may not being the pop icons or the mainstream/sex revealing/hair flipping group, but we are hard workers.
