Biography:
The Wildflowers are an American pop-rock group, they formed in 2011. The Band consists of Tyler Jackson (Lead Vocals and Guitar), Alex Perry-Jones (Lead Vocals and Guitar), Scott Armstrong (Bass Guitar and Vocals) and Josh Dalton (Drums). There was reported interest from various labels including, Junction Records and Studio 60 Records, but in the end, they decided to sign a one album deal with Shooting Aces Records in 2011 with an option for a 2nd and 3rd record.

They’re influences are predominantly British influences, bands like The Rolling Stones, The Who and The Kinks have been mentioned as heavy influences but a heavy obsession with The Beatles is embedded into each member. They are also influenced by Classic Rock bands of the 70’s and 80’s including, Aerosmith, Guns N Roses, Kiss, Led Zeppelin, Rush and Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers and more modern acts like Fathers Of Fury, Reckoner, PANIC! And Saburban Sunrise. They’re primary songwriter Alex Perry-Jones is heavily influenced by singer-songwriters like, Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Paul Simon, Lennon & McCartney and Van Morrison.

They signed their first ever record deal with Shooting Aces in February 2011 and plan to release their debut album later in the year with some reports hinting at an August 2011 album release. They made their debut live performance at the Hollywood Palladium in front of 4,000 fans. They were added onto the 2011 Just Another US Tour alongside bands like Suburban Sunrise, Infinite and Fathers Of Fury.

TYLER JACKSON

Tyler Jackson Provides energy to the group. His vocals have more of a rock edge compared to Alex’s softer pop vocals. He is also a talented songwriter and guitarist and gives a light hearted approach to music, often modifying lyrics to get a laugh.

Alex Perry is the guy who provides the more pop-esque aspects to The Wildflowers music. He’s a prolific songwriter with an ear for a good pop melody. His vocals are softer than Tyler and he often looks for harmonies from his fellow band mates.

Scott is the youngest of the group, he provides the most youthful energy’s of the group and marvels at the bands inspirations, like The Beatles and The Kinks. He is also a strong songwriter and will also provide vocals although the majority of lead vocals will be provided by Alex and/or Tyler. He is the most well known member of the group and has various other outside projects.

Josh is the heartbeat of the band, providing endless energy and exuberance with his drumming ability, he does have some song writing skills but prefers to focus on his drumming although he is always willing to collaborate with his fellow band mates on song writing duties, he occasionally provides backing vocals but his main duties are drumming.
