Chaos Records presents Triple Threat

For the past few months, Chaos Records has been embarking on a long and arduous task to uncover three of the best young bands on earth for one of the most ambitious and potentially groundbreaking projects to ever enter the music industry. Originally a label that had its roots in alternative music over all other genres, top dogs at Chaos decided that it would be exciting and original to begin a contest that would source and bring to the fore some of the best young and unknown talents in the world of music.

In October 2012, Chaos Records launched the Chaos Basement Jam competition in its three biggest and most successful territories - North America, Europe and Oceania. The premise for bands and artists was simple. They had to send in a video of them performing in their garage, basement or bedroom - three songs each, two of which must be original and one a cover. The label received a largely unexpected deluge of entries, with thousands of acts from around the globe chasing the three prizes up for grabs, each of which was a lucrative one album deal with Chaos Records. In the end, executives and experts whittled them down to 50 finalists from each region.

From there, it was all down to the fans, and three rounds of voting brought the acts down to the final ten in each region. The final round saw each of the bands asked to perform a concert in their home towns, which they had to record. The fans then voted again, and after a nervous month where they had no information, and nothing to do except sit and wait, the three winners were contacted with the fantastic news that they had earned a contract with Chaos Records, and the chance to become rock stars that comes with their signing.

Now that the contest is over, Chaos has announced details of the next stage - Triple Threat. The three winners are essentially becoming part of a triplet of bands, cared for by a specialist team at Chaos dedicated to taking them to the top of their chosen genres. The three winners will each release an initial single, before all three then release debut albums. Then will come the piece de resistance - the Chaos Records Triple Threat World Tour, wherein the three winning acts will all get the chance to tour the world together on a co-headlining tour that will see them play more than a hundred shows around the globe, living out their dreams. Success will bring them an extension to their Chaos contracts - so all is to play for!

Without further ado, Chaos Records reveals the three regional winners of the Basement Jam contest, and the newest members of the Chaos Records family!

Winner - North America - Escape Artists Never Die (USA)

Winner - Europe - Sonnets and Novellas (France)

Paige Williams (Miss Way): I can only dream at the moment! Thankfully this competition has moved us a step closer to that dream. It's so humbling. I can't wait to leave New Zealand for the first time!

OOC: Thanks :) I've got some lyrics down so hopefully it won't be something I flake on.

Florian (Sonnets and Novellas): I hope to do just this. It has been a long time in coming for us and we are glad to finally have the chance to show our music to more than just local people and friends.

OOC: Thanks :) I agree, and I've not had a rock band that I've done much with in such a long time.

Zac Hale (Escape Artists Never Die): Thanks dude! We still can't believe we won. We've been celebrating all afternoon. Such an exciting time for us.

OOC: This is probably the best idea I've seen on here, I'm interested to see it all comes together because potentially it could be epic, I say potentially because I couldn't even begin to imagine how much time and effort would have to be spent on each of those bands, but I'm sure that you'll have planned it out well and I'm sure you'll be able to pull this off! ... not gonna lie, Pierce The Veil along with Sleeping with Sirens have pretty much been all I've been listening to recently, so the fact that you're using Pierce The Veil is enough to make me hugely interested in seing where this goes! Once again though, it looks like this could be something amazing! :)

Amy: This looks like a truly groundbreaking project from Chaos Records, credit to whoever was the genius behind this project because I gotta feeling it's gonna be special and you can never have enough rock based acts in music, in fact there's not nearly enough at the moment. Good luck to you all!

OOC: They're my least favourite of the three probably lol.

Stinson: We agree Amy, they all have a real chance to make it big!

OOC: Thanks man :) Yeah I've been thinking about how long it will take to write stuff for them, largely because I'll need to do everything in threes haha. I've got it planned it out reasonably well though, so I'm hoping I'll be able to keep up with it all :) Yeah I've been listening to a lot of Pierce the Veil recently as well - I only recently discovered them, but their newest album is absolutely awesome. I love it. Thanks again man :)

Zac Hale (Escape Artists Never Die): Wow...seriously, is this a real comment? Excuse me for being rude, but a comment from one of the most beautiful and successful women in music? I'm pinching myself! Thank you so much Amy! You have been an inspiration to all rock bands in recent years and I only dream that we can be even a quarter as successful as you guys have been. Even your comment inspires us to try our best, and hopefully you like what we put out in the near future!

Ooc: Thanks :) going to be putting a lot of focus on them in the months ahead.

Zac Hale: Hey, yo! You know my brother, who is also in the band (he's the skinny one with neck tattoos) loves your band man. If you hear any of our heavier parts, that's my bro being all "yeah let's do it like Acts of Hate!"
