He was born October 4th , 1989 in Moscow , Russia , to Saudi Arabian mother Taja Nazari ( تاجا نظري ) and Russian father Ads Khan Anoshkin ( Объявления Хан Аношкина ) . The Anoshkin family were very poor and grew up in the less fortunate part of Moscow . Zane was a quiet kid and though he made many friends , he was fine by himself . Due to poor education and limited opportunity's , at the age of 11 , his family moved to London ,England for a better life , where he was introduced to his love of rock and pop music . " I remember the first time hearing Michael Jackson , Queen , Adam Ant and Jon Bon Jovi . I never really was into music back in Russia so it was a whole new world for me . " Inspired and astounded Zane decided to make his own music . He learned how to play guitar and bass and taught himself how to work with his voice . Being so into the music he was , it helped him adjust to his new life in England . Even helped him fit in a lot better in school . By the age of 16 he had been in multiple groups and even had a few mixtapes . " I was always the star of all groups I was in . I was a little divo , so if things didn't go my way , then the group was done . " In 2OO7 , at the age of 17 he graduated high school and moved to America to pursue his dreams and focus more on his music . Through the years he flew back and forth from America and England to be with is parents . Sometime in 2O1O he made and uploaded his first solo mixtape for some friends . Word went around and he ended up getting lots of views , growing a steady fan base . In 2O11 he decided to make it official and take his work to the studio and in 2O12 , he put out another mixtape which sprouted in the underground music world . People compared him to a modern day Adam Ant , because of his quirky charm and distinct voice . Earlier in the year he announced his debut project to come out sometime Summer 2O13 . Since then he has been pursuing his musical career as a producer , songwriter , and DJ .
