Additionally I know of several RPers here who love doing albums and singles and are great at describing songs but not always comfortable with actually writing lyrics. This is my solution to both of those problems. Additionally this allows for an entire new type of character, the songwriter, to be created. Many people I'm sure wont want to use any lyrics other than their own. Several users here, however, may find a couple of songs here or a lot of songs here and use them. You can see how it should work outlined below. Welcome to the Songshop! This is where artists and vocalists come to meet writers and find the perfect song for their next album, to be their next single, or just to release as a b-side or online for free! How it Works Songwriters will post a song or multiple songs. Then any artist will come and if they find a song they like they just have to make a deal with the songwriter including financial compensation and writer or co-writer credit when the song comes out. (OOC: You can request to use songs by PM or in the thread.) Songwriters should post songs using the following format. Title: Author: Genre: Status: (Claimed or Unclaimed) Lyrics: Sounds Like (Optional): When a song has been sold the author of the song should indicate that the song has been claimed. Please feel free to compliment a song. The Songshop is a place to enjoy and praise lyrics whether or not you are personally looking for any. OOC: When using a song I suggest giving lyric credit be putting the name of the character and then in parentheses the used who actually wrote the lyrics.
