 O'BRYAN ANNOUNCES SOPHMORE STUDIO ALBUM TITLE + RELEASE DATE
O’Bryan Richmond is officially back! It is hard to believe but it has been three long years since the release of his debut album, “The Autobiography of O’Bryan Richmond”. He teased us last fall with the release of his comeback single, “Flying Solo” peaked at the top 10 of the Top 20 Airplay and The Top 20 Digital Songs charts. However now, O’Bryan is ready to give us a taste of that second album we’ve been waiting for. O’Bryan will release his sophomore album, titled, “Ohhhhh Bryan” on July 30th, 2013.
Today he is releasing a buzz single from the record entitled, “Get It (Make It Clap”. ‘Clap’ is a different song for O’Bryan in which it is a dance song, containing elements of Ska, Pop, Electronica, and Reggae. O’Bryan produced the song a lot with hit maker, Diplo. The song will serve as a prelude to his highly anticipated sophomore album.
Song Description “Get It (Make It Clap)”
“Get It” is an upbeat Dance number. The song isn’t techno at all, however the beat strives with its Hip-Hop, Ska, and Reggae influences. The song is a care free light number. A far cry from his previous single, “Flying Solo”. “Get It” begins with a hard beat of Drums, guitars, and synthesizers. The beat is heavily influenced by the twerking craze, as well as the song. O’Bryan raps for majority of the song, encouraging girls to flaunt what they were blessed with, and not to take life too seriously. It is a song which will be widely considered controversial because of its message, however the main theme is for ALL people, women and men to be secure and comfortable in themselves, and use their bodies as instruments while expressing that.

“I just wanted to do a fun record. Most of the album is very dark during the beginning and this where the album will take a lighter tone, hints, the title, ‘Ohhhhh Bryan’. I am feeling like a rolling stone. I don’t want women or the fellas to take themselves too seriously, and I wanted to express that. This song is about expressing yourself. There is nothing I love more than doing besides performing than going to the club, dancing with girls, taking off our clothes, and getting hammered. My entire album won’t sound like this. However I have more artistic freedom this go around, and if I wanna make a song that I know will be controversial, but will get you turnt the fuck up in the club, then so be it. Express yourself. We are all blessed with something on our bodies that someone finds attractive; why not talk about it you know? What’s wrong with not only using your mind but your body as an instrument as well? Its summer of 2013 people, loosen the fuck up.
