Background Of The Underground Distribution Company

The Underground is a distribution company founded in 2010 by entrepreneur, tv host and producer Damion Holmes. Although the company was founded in 2010, doors did not open until early 2011. The companies objective is to give underground artists who are not signed to any major labels a chance to break into the music industry by funding and distributing different acts that sign onto the company. The Underground is also a place where artists who are denied contracts from large conglomerate labels, a comfortable home to release music they have been working on. All genre's of music are accepted.

Having headquarters in both New York City and London, The Underground has been successful in giving artists plenty of opportunity to put their music on a broader spectrum having helped notable artists such as Edward Barát, Mykaylah, Sara Daniels and possibly the most successful artist who has "graduated" from the Underground, in Riot! In The Boulevard. Artists may stay allied with The Underground for as long as they wish, as no strict "album or single" contracts are given out but when artists feel as if they are ready to move on, they may, as everyone from the Underground will wish them the best of luck with their future endeavors. The Underground also has several recording studio's located throughout the United Kingdom, and North America that are set up so artists can schedule recording sessions for upcoming material. Producers are also contacted either by the artist themselves or by the company ourselves to set up sessions between acts and producers. When acts do release material, The Underground will promote your release, and wish you the best of luck in your release!

Following "The Underground Live" which was a live showcase where all the affiliated artists of the Underground performed live in front of a huge crowd which became a large success, the Underground went on a brief hiatus some months after, in late 2011. Now, we are opening our doors again for acts who wants to become allied, and get distributed by the company. Most recently, recording artist Sara Daniels became allied with the Underground having her newest single "Obsession" funded and distributed by the company.
