The video for Proposition starts off with a black screen . Soon enough in all capital white letters , ' Yasmine ' pops onto it just as the beat of the song starts . It is then removed right before the video flashes to a scene where Yasmine is dancing in the middle of nowhere in slow motion . She has on a purple dress , and she's using a sarong to dance with . Then in the next scene Yasmine is seen wearing the same sarong on her head and she is in slow motion . She looks into the outer land and then slowly closes her eyes as the title of the song , ' Proposition ' , appears on the screen . Once the first verse of the song finally comes on , scenes of Yasmine walking up a hill , also in slow slow motion plays . It's very artistic seeing scenes of her slowly lifting up the front of her dress so she doesn't step on it and then seeing the tail of her dress being drug through the dirt .

As the pre-hook comes in , everything in the video seems to have a little more of a depressing effect . You see various shots of Yasmine sitting or looking stressed in a gray scale . Even a scene of her riding a train and capturing a picture , symbolizing how boring her everyday life is .
Cause everyone is just searching for a chance
A chance for when they finally get to die
So we can part from this world in hope of a better life
Cause everybody secretly knows as humans our purpose in life
Is to live and die .
Just as the pre-hook ends , you see 2 people in the middle of nowhere , dancing wildly as something hits them . That something looks almost like a galaxy or stars , but could just be simply perceived as an epiphany . By the wild dancing you can kind of see that it is giving them ' life ' . This scene was a project that Yasmine conducted and photographed herself . This project began from the theory that humans are made of cosmic matter as a result of a stars death , but seeing it's artistic elements and how well the project fits with the song , she ended up using the shots for this video to be taken in any way by the viewer . This continues to the second verse as the whole time , instead of the 2 people dancing wildly , you see a girl falling back in slow motion in the middle of nowhere . It looks like the same hill Yasmine was just walking on in the beginning of the video . The background seems to be a little lighter than the first picture , showing that maybe the sun is rising .

Hope without work is more pathetic than believing in luck
Just when the second verse is over , the ' excitement ' ends and it goes back to Yasmine's dull every day life filmed in a gray scale . You see shots of street signs in New York City and shots of her walking around the big city . You see a blurred shot of the people walking by and in particular you see a shot of one man , looking up , which right on beat , sharpens just as the pre-hook ends .
And to all the fallen , you're the lucky ones

Once the hook finally comes on , you see the same two people that were dancing wildly together at first , dance wildly in individual shots . The man looks like he's doing some weird jumps and kicks , just before he begins to fall back and the girl is whipping her hair back and forth on beat . As you can see in each shot , the background is getting lighter , almost like at the moment it is sunrise as the video switches back and forth between scenes of the both of them dancing .

When the hook ends and the bridge begins , 2 more people , a boy and a girl , are frozen in mid air , while the Sun fully shines behind them . They look like they were caught in the middle of a jump and they slowly come down as the bridge continues .Again the slow motion adds a dramatic effect as the video continues .

Now you see Yasmine dancing gracefully by the lake with a sarong . The Sun is now up in the background as you see her dance to the pre-hook . It isn't in slow motion this time ,s he just pulls off moves that are slow , calm and very graceful . The wind even blows , adding so much more to the scene as the sarong is filled with the air form the breeze .

Last but not least , once the hook comes on for the last time , the scene from the very beginning of the video from where Yasmine was in the middle of nowhere , walking . She now continues to dance in this scene as the Sun in the background almost looks as if the Sun is now going down . After the scene the video then ends with Yasmine throwing the sarong up in the sky and then another scene of the same sarong being blown by the wind , just as the words , ' Directed by Airemese Smith ' , pops up on the screen .
