Honor Wynter. Some of you might be asking yourselves,
'Who? and then the rest of us, the more sane ones, would reply with,
'Oh...that chick. LOVE her!', or something along those lines. She may not be an artist or even have any relations to the music business but she is certainly entertaining. A model, a blogger, a music critic, and all around bad ass, Wynter has already become a part of this crazy world of music just by association alone. She's one of the most talked about in social media these days, and not for her lack of controversial tweets and disputes with other celebrities, but just because of her attitude alone. When she first burst into our office, not literally, we had to jump on the chance to interview her. Why? Because she is such a character. 3 hours with her was definitely not enough time to bond but we made it work. She's beautiful, funny, and she simply loves to be herself. She's got spunk, wisdom, and doesn't mind a little sex talk every now and then. Oh, did we mention how hot she was? If you don't believe us, we're sure these lovely photos will convert you.
We sat down with her to get an inside look on just who Honor Wynter was as a person and to get her to answer some of those burning fan questions that were sent in, talk about explicit, naughty viewers! But that didn't stop Honor as she answered all questions honestly and with a sense of humor. Before we begin, a brief bio on the model. She was born on August 25th, 1992, and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada to father Nikkolas and Penelope Wynter. Her father was a male model and now is an avid art collector, peaking her interest in fashion and arts as well. She is the eldest of her siblings, 2 younger brothers Roscoe (19) and Marshall (17). By the age of 16, she decided to move to L.A. in hopes of a career in modeling and fashion designing. Independent already at a young age, it was inevitable for Honor to reach success when she was offered a deal with world wide store
Hot Topic and she finally had reached her dream. Later, she'd venture back to Las Vegas, and continue to pursue her dream now of being signed to a larger modeling company which would take her to new heights. Honor has since then been freelancing and also appearing in various ads and has several different sponsors from multiple companies. Along with that, she became a blogger where she received thousands of views on her professional blogging site which also helped her to reach out to other companies for jobs. And let's not forget on top of all this, she is also a music critic. It seems like there is nothing Honor can't do which is why she is our
Hottie of the Month. The first section, we sat down with her and shot some questions at her, some we thought NEEDED to be answered (or we just really wanted to know because we're semi-obsessed). The second section are fan questions sent in by, of course, her lovely fans.
Maxim: Thank you for joining us Honor, we are so thrilled to have you!Honor Wynter: Thank you for having me, I love this magazine. Only the hottest of the hot get in here so...I'm taking this as a compliment! (Winks and laughs)
Maxim: Well you are hot, that's no lie. Okay let's start off with some early Honor Wynter, what was she like?Honor Wynter: Pretty much the same as I am now, just younger and shorter. (Laughs) I was really into being my own person and not conforming with others around me. I was all into individuality and I still am. It made me stand out as a child, which I love to do. I'm not one to want to be wallpaper. I was a firecracker, bold, fearless, crazy. I was in short a handful.
Maxim: What do you think about introvert people?Honor Wynter: I think it sucks for them to not be able to feel comfortable being themselves. I really feel for people who feel like outcasts because I was in that spot once and it kind of sucks. I just think a different way and eventually, I kind of took to being the outcast. I wasn't wearing what everyone was wearing in school, I wasn't doing normal child like things, I was at art exhibits and traveling the country so I guess in a way, I wasn't anything like the kids at school, but it was awesome. I am very confident in myself, I love myself and I think everyone should too!
Maxim: What's your most memorable childhood moment?Honor Wynter: I was like 9 and I went to my first music concert, it was a Madonna concert, oddly enough. I just remember thinking,
'Oh my god, is she God?' like the feelings I had were so crazy. She was so different and I loved it. She just has always had that sort of
'Move bitch, I'm Madonna' presence to her and I love that.
Maxim: Your father allowed you to go to a Madonna concert?Honor Wynter: I don't take no for an answer. (Laughs)
Maxim: What made you want to pursue a career in modeling?Honor Wynter: I just love fashion and everything about it plus to be able to express yourself on camera in tons of ways is always a plus. Also the lazy side wants to say, I didn't really need school. (Smiles)
Maxim: Do you regret not going to college?Honor Wynter: Not at all! Around the time all my classmates were going to college, I was going around and doing what I loved so not at all. I think some people just aren't made for college so we shouldn't all be forced into it.
Maxim: How did your father react?Honor Wynter: We weren't really close at the time so he didn't really have a say.
Maxim: What caused you to fall off with your father?Honor Wynter: We just had disagreements about a lot of stuff, strangely enough it wasn't about me modeling. He didn't mind that at all. We've just been a little estranged but we're getting a little better now. He's my daddy, I'll always love him.
Maxim: When you moved back to Las Vegas, is that when you started blogging?Honor Wynter: Yes, it just became an unintended hobby and soon it became my third life.
Maxim: And then critiquing music?Honor Wynter: I've always loved music so that was pretty easy for me too. I never believed in limiting myself in just one thing. I like being a renaissance woman. A lot of men find that attractive too ladies!
Maxim: Are you dating anyone?Honor Wynter: Yes I am.
Maxim: Do we have to pry or will you confirm?Honor Wynter: (Laughs) I thought it was obvious?! I'm dating Alec Holter. We've been dating for almost 4 months now.
Maxim: Do you think you're an odd pair or just right?Honor Wynter: I think we're a perfectly different combination. We bring out the best in each other, I believe, and we enjoy some of the same things and we've gotten each other interested in different stuff. Plus he's really hot so that works.
Maxim: What is your idea of a date night?Honor Wynter: Either going to a club or eating sushi while drinking wine and watching movies at home. I love a good home date sometimes.
Maxim: You seem to be a very sexual person, is that correct?
Honor Wynter: I'd like to think so. (Laughs) I love sex.
Maxim: Any tips to fellow readers?Honor Wynter: For sex? Um...just have fun and don't over think it, that really kills the mood. Be crazy and wild, be adventurous. Try new things and switch it up. The best sex sometimes is spontaneous, just don't do it in the Burger King bathroom. That's trashy.
Maxim: Do you have any odd places you've had sex?Honor Wynter: I'd like to think almost everyone does...or maybe just a few of us horny folks. It's not really odd but a closet.
Maxim:....How did that happen?Honor Wynter: Okay, we were technically in the closet for other reasons but it ended up being sex so we just stayed in the closet. Thank god for big closets. (Laughs)
Maxim: Do you believe in love?Honor Wynter: I do, I believe a lot of people are in love and a lot of them believe they are in love.
Maxim: What's the difference?Honor Wynter: Some people convince themselves it's love when it's really not.
Maxim: Do you think there's a difference in 'being in love' and 'loving' someone?Honor Wynter: Definitely! I love my dog and cat but I'm not in love with them. That'd be creepy.
Maxim: Back to your family life, do you and your brothers have a playful or crazy relationship?Honor Wynter: We're crazy as hell together. We say lots of inappropriate things and it's just a riot to be around us 3 together.
Maxim: Do you like being the only girl?Honor Wynter: Yeah, it's cool. As the eldest, I definitely got special treatment sometimes and I love looking after my younger brothers. Sometimes I do think it'd be much easier to teach girls things then boys. Boys are so filthy sometimes.
Maxim: So if you ever have children, you'd prefer a girl?Honor Wynter: I don't know, children any genre are difficult.
Maxim: Do you want children?Honor Wynter: I mean I can live without having them but if it happened then I don't think I'd mind.
Maxim: What about marriage?Honor Wynter: I'd have to be convinced very well to even consider that. (Laughs)
Maxim: Do you have anything against marriage?Honor Wynter: I've just never really known many people to have successful marriages so it's made me skeptical. I think the idea that a ring and piece of paper is going to prevent someone from cheating is crazy.
Maxim: Are any of your friends models as well?Honor Wynter: Yes, my friend Jana is a model. We've done some shoots together, she's gorgeous too, and single fellas! (Laughs)
Maxim: Do you have any friends in the industry of music?Honor Wynter: I have a few, I like to keep it that way.
Maxim: Are any of them big celebrities?Honor Wynter: Well I'm best friends with Jennifer Armstrong, she's sort of huge you know. (Laughs) I'm also friends with Serenity Scott, Erica Hess, Scott Wellington, Dustyn Blue, Billy Khan, so I guess all of Weekend maybe. Those are like my good friends.
Maxim: Do you find it hard to make friends in the industry because of your profession?Honor Wynter: I can make friends easily, it's not me. I think being a model is one of the easiest ways to make friends because you network and meet everyone.
Maxim: How do you deal with hate in the industry?Honor Wynter: I say a few rude comments and get on with my life. I mean if someone hates me, why waste time trying to convince them I'm awesome? I know I am. I just tend to ignore some of it.
Maxim: Do you feel people are jealous of you?Honor Wynter: I don't know. If they are, not my problem. I'm not really trying to make anyone jealous. I'm just living my life.
Maxim: What's your take on honesty?Honor Wynter: I don't like liars at all. I try to always be honest in everything I do and you know in this day and age, it's almost crazy to speak your mind but I do it anyway.
Maxim: Do you feel your blogs get you the hate?Honor Wynter: My blogs, how I act, tons of stuff but like I said, I don't care. It doesn't really get to me like others. It's a hateful world.
Maxim: Who in this industry do you feel could have a career in modeling?Honor Wynter: Serenity Scott, them boobs you guys, Victoria Black, she's super sexy and mysterious. Katie Coyle, she has gorgeous eyes and she, when given the proper clothing, looks gorgeous! Barbarian, she has those sexy long legs and perfect figure, Mariko Kobay- I can't pronounce it just yet but she's hot as well. Glamazon, she could just wear a box and make it look hot. Oh that Maddie Urie girl and Anna Villiot, Cristina Lake, Kourtney Steele, Amy Meyer and also Vara Gallo annnnnd one more....Radio Vine.
Maxim: Do you feel shy when it comes to racy modeling pics?Honor Wynter: I love racy modeling pics! I feel sexy so I don't mind showing off my body.
Maxim: What was the funnest shoot you ever did?Honor Wynter: Well for Maxim of course....
Maxim: Did you struggle trying to get into the industry?Honor Wynter: Definitely. There were times I didn't have money when I went out on my own to Los Angeles, I had bills and stuff. It was a lot to deal with but I brought it on myself. I went some days without food, I spent some nights on the street after not being able to pay for the rent, it was tough but I'm making it now so I'm happy.
Maxim: What do you love about fashion?Honor Wynter: I like how you can express yourself and everyone has different tastes so anyone can dress up how they want, there's no limits. You can create what you want and it's just so amazing.
Maxim: Do you consider yourself a trendsetter?Honor Wynter: Yes. I've seen tons of people start wearing types of clothing after I do, it's crazy! I love it though. I've seen at least 10 girls with a bow on their hip as well.
Maxim: How many tattoos do you have?Honor Wynter: I have....about 15. I've gotten a lot of them changed and covered too.
Maxim: Are you addicted?Honor Wynter: Maybe! I love ink and I love getting new ink. It's just fun to get something tattooed on me. I have gotten 4 tattoos in like 2 days once. (Laughs)
Maxim: Are they meaningful or just because?Honor Wynter: All of them are meaningful, I've gotten some from different experiences and some are inspired by lyrics or friends and family.
Maxim: What's your favorite?Honor Wynter: That's hard! I really love my lips and bow on my hip. I also love the rosary cross I have on my leg and the cupcake. I just can't pick, I love them all.
Maxim: What types of music do you listen to?Honor Wynter: I'm mostly a rocker and some Pop. Occasionally, I'll listen to Jazz, thanks to Alec, and a little R&B and Hip Hop. When I'm in a cleaning mood, classical, when I'm pissed, Metal and Old school rock. When I'm in a good mood, Pop and Rock. When I'm feeling romantic, Jazz and Trance. (Laughs)
Maxim: What's a typical day like for Honor Wynter?Honor Wynter: Wake up, get beautified, head out to do some shopping or maybe blog a little. Spend time with my brothers and friends, sit outside and watch the sunset, watch some good movies or television, spend time with my pets, take a hot bubble bath, get in bed and do it again the next day. Well, it depends. New day, new adventures! I like spontaneous events.
Maxim: Ready for some fan questions?Honor Wynter: Hell yes!
