It’s Me’ is the debut solo album from American rhythm guitarist ‘Adam Benjamin’ best known for his work in Alt-rock band ‘Riot! In The Boulevard’. This marks the first solo release from any member of the five-piece band and has been rumoured for a couple of months now. It’s a change of pace from the songs that Benjamin has co-wrote and helped create with Riot! In The Boulevard. This project is seen as an outlet for the quirky and slightly unusual musician to release songs of a less serious nature. When talking about his solo album, Adam had this to say, “Sometimes you just want to break free of the norm and do something completely different. I haven’t taken any of this solo album seriously, when a friend of mine suggested making a light-hearted solo album I kinda thought he was insane. But you know, I have fun writing songs, playing around with instrumentations and rhymes and melodies and I kinda figured, why not? It’s not gonna have a major impact on what I do, It’s not like I’m gonna be touring the album or releasing singles from the album. So all in all, it was fun to just mess around and not feel under pressure to create something huge. The recording process with Riot! has always been an emotionally overpowering experience and very stressful too. This album, not so much. But it’s here now, and I’m really not too bothered whether people like it or not. It’s not very important”. And I swear to god, in that moment I just wanted to choke her
She said she thought that Jar Jar Binks was sorta funny
I said he’s the devil just created so George Lucas could make more money
That stupid girl couldn’t have been more wrong
Well I guess in hindsight
It’s kinda good that she’s gone
Well this is my Star Wars anthem
I’m a little geeky
But I don’t need to be handsome
Because there’s only one real woman in this galaxy
It’s obvious who she’d choose between Han Solo and me

Dustyn: I has finded my new favouritest album of the year! This is so cool and is sooooo cute, especially the cover. The little toy monster on the front is cute....well, you is too, but that toy is adorableness I just wanna take it home. I is so going to buy it and tell all the Weekenders in the whole wide world to do it too!
OOC: Must say that you've written a lot of great albums in the past but I think this is one of the best. It just goes to show that you don't need all the descriptions and whatnot to create a great RP. I know this album was intended to be 'bad' and 'silly' and it was....in a good way, you pulled it off :P You really made a unique sound for Adam and if it were real, I'd probably really enjoy listening to it :P Well done. |

OOC: Lmao I really liked this! I also love that the members of Riot! are starting to branch out and do different things. Quite surpising that Adam would be the first since I think it would be Amy, but this is a good showing for him. Although its not serious and its a witty album, its still really good and an enjoyable set of tracks. Nice work as always! |
