Sabrina Franc, some African dance pop singer released what I am thinking to be her second single. Its called "Crazy" and I think its absolutely terrible. For one like I said earlier this week on twitter...of all people you could have gotten to produce you a worthy dance record you choose Matt Young? Matt Young is clearly just experimenting in a field that he cannot excel in and unfortunately Sabrina you were the test dummy. For one, the beat itself is lacking in "prowess" that you normally want to get from dance pop records and the drop was just weak and all together the production is just cheesy and goes no where for me. Lyrically, again, it goes no where for me. I guess she's talking about a guy making her go crazy or some shit like that and she sings these lines |(i have searching high and low|up and down like a yoyo) and I found that to be the most cheesiest line I have ever heard in a pop song, but that's pop music for ya and Sabrina you are seriously not helping. The sad thing is, is that you actually have a nice voice. But this is just not working for you. Not only is the production bad, the lyrics cheesy, and just no. This is two or three steps down from your previous single that I found to be a great offering. This follow up? No no no mama. Scrap this entirely.. do not include this in the album. Hit up Sunny Monroe, mister_b or The Wolverines so they can give you a worthy record. Have someone write a song for you and make this happen again because this is not going to cut it. Haven't totally lost faith in you because everyone makes mistakes, but do not fail the queen again or I'll completely lose faith in ya. Oh and I have no idea who you are as a person or a singer, have an interview or something. The only thing more worse then people not being able to connect with your music is people being unable to connect with you and I cannot connect with you or your music yet. The clock is ticking Sabrina, get yo fucking ass an interview and get your name out there. I should be your manager! This would not be happening young lady. Lets fucking go. The single?
1.8/5. Your vocals somewhat pushes the score up but this was a disaster
Pop butt buddies Austin Nimmo and Kato released "Pretty Girls" and I swear I do believe these two are gay or bi for eachother. I mean damn, these guys do everything together! I wouldn't be surprised if they helped each other use the bathroom. One holds and aims and the other releases. They each have girlfriends but I know it when I see it. And the fact that they flipped out when I mentioned it on twitter furthers my suspicion even more. These two are gaaaaay for eachother. But that's beside the point, if they want to pound eachothers butts out that's on them, just admit it when I confront ya about it. So they released "Pretty Girls" and of course all these little girls in the world went completely crazy because their names are attached to it and I pretty much was expecting to be unimpressed but the track is not all as bad as I thought it was going to be. It's stompingPop/R&B but I wasn't expecting anything major ...since well...It's Kato and Austin but it is a catchy tune. The way the synths and clapping beats compliment eachother, it works well for them. It was a bit more mature as well, it wasn't any bubble gum nonsense. Everyone knows I hate that. Who sang it better? Neither really. I think they have different voices, Austin's might be a bit stronger but on the track he sounds as if he's trying a bit too hard to sound sexy and "older" which sort of was a throw off, Kato who has been around a bit longer doesn't have the best voice in the world but he really has a sense of personality to his vocals that makes a listener know it's him as soon as he's sings, which gives Kato the experience factor in the song but I really couldn't say who's better because well, who gives a fuck. The butt buddies are perfect for eachother. Overall, not a bad song at all, just generic and um....yeah. You two will probably get over because of your names, better track then I thought however
3/5VANITY VANITY VANITY. This fucking lady has reached her dark ages. I think it's a cross between my album is coming out soon so I need to get everyone talking.... and a midlife crisis. The publicity stunt was stupid and your new music is alright but you are doing all the wrong things. You are just doing way too much which is whyyyy people probably aren't accepting the new music like they once did. Fashion Week is alright, I mean its rigid dance music and mister b does you well production wise and no one can take away from the expertise Vanity posses. It's typical Vanity with good lyrical content. I just wish you weren't such an attention whore. I'd respect you more.
3/5Kourtney releases a new single and I am really getting sick of this girl releasing singles. Fucking release an album already. I don't really like the single either. It's bubble gum pop with nothing else to it. I mean I guess people like her because she's...idk... she's semi pretty? She really doesn't bring much to the table and she's just like a handful of other pop stars. She's another one I'd like to get to know more. We need an interview or something. What are you good for? Just releasing singles and being friends with Isabel? It doesn't cut it and the new single doesn't either. The lyrics are pretty cute so I'll be nicer on you. Lets release an album, no more fucking singles already. I am tired of hearing your singles. I need to hear what you are offering on a greater scale, an album. Needs to come in the next 2 months or don't even think I'll take the time to check out your music. Kourtney, you've got to come harder then this and stop standing around looking cute or you will get drowned out in no time, that bubblegum cute shit only works but for soooo long miss. The lyrics and your vocals does you justice a bit I guess
2.4/5Victoria Black's single is really good. I always knew this girl was good but Deneil really brought the greatness out in her. The production was ace for her voice, the record captivating. I was afraid about the single at first since I saw Deneil produced it because with him, it's either a major hit or a major miss. We all know how Ugenia's attempted comeback single faired. "Bulletproof" is a excellent pop song that will should put Victoria Black right back on the map and with the album on the near horizon, she should be in good hands. I think the record has a nice buildup to the big chorus and Victoria slays the record vocally. Yes, I must admit. Victoria really impressed me with this one. I've always liked VB which is why I've been hard on her in the past because she's always had alot of potential but never really took advantage of her buildups. She either sat at home spreading her legs for her boyfriend or idk... just not doing anything. But the Queen forgives when good music is put out and I've forgiven Victoria [for now]. I really think it's a shame that she lives in the shadow of young pop toppers Mandy Williams and Isabel because although no where near as famous as them, Victoria could stand right next to these two and out do them vocally. Something to think about Victoria, snatch those bitches wigs. I'll be reviewing Victoria's album soon as it streams in full and I hope I have good things to say and she doesn't make me regret saying all these nice things about her. If it's not good expect me to come at ya full force Vic. For now, you're in good hands. Nice lil single here.
4/5 [highest rated single so far]OOC: All reviews are in character! I appreciate everything each of you do and all of you are special not only as RP'ers but as songwriters as well!
