Every month in typical Unsigned Hype fashion, we highlight a new act that is currently on the underground trying to possibly make a name for themselves. We have put many spectacular acts from all walks of life on our website to give them the exposure we feel they deserve. We have given exposure to acts stemming from pop, rap, r&B, and even Jazz music. Now that its just four days into the new year, we already have a new act that we want to highlight here on Unsigned Hype. Today we are highlighting a young indie rock musician that goes by the name of Michael Mann. We have discovered Michael Mann through soundcloud when we came across his page after this track entitled "Threats" was uploaded onto his official page just three days ago. The songwriter, guitarist and vocalist is just 20 years old and hails from Clifton, Nottingham, England. Citing the likes of Mark Talley, James Urie and Reported Failure as his biggest influences, the young musician began playing the guitar when he was eight years old. But don't let his young age fool you, this young man has the ability to deliver and we clearly heard this on his song "Threats". The track places a young man witnessing disaster, and telling the story in a tasteful, depressing and quite frankly stellar way as he emotionally sings in a crooning but captivating manner. The record is not too dark and laggy for the listener as there is a clear piece of intelligent indie pop heard on this record. Not much is known about this young lad, but with Unsigned Hype highlighting him here on 1/4/14, we are sure to be hearing from this underground musician.
