Amy(DTNM)- Hey, we are here with 3 out of the six members of Rebuild. Why dont you tell everyone who you are and your job in the band.
Alex- Im Alex and I sing
Eric- Im Eric and I play guitar
Jack- Im Jack and I play bass
Amy- Alright guys. Ive got some fan questions for you. "MAarkus" via twitter asked, "I have been a fan since the first year you were a band, but I have never seen any line up changes. Why is that?
Alex- Well, we had a different drummer before our current drummer Neil. But he was always drunk and never showed up to practice so we kicked him out. After that we got Josh to do guitar with Eric and Eric's sister Lexi joined in on vocals with me. Since then we have never changed a thing.
Jack- We were all hesitant about Lexi joining the band, cause usually you dont see female vocalist singing this type of music. Eric just showed up with her and was like "She is in the band" and we were like "Umm okay"
Amy- Sounds like you guys have good chemistry together for never really having serious line up changes.
Eric- We all grew up together and have always been friends, so it all just kinda worked out. This band has its bad moments like everything else, but we are still going strong.
Amy- Okay, one more question "Luismillion" wants to know, "How do you write such motivational songs all the time? I can barely write anything.."
Alex- Well you see...
(Jack interrupts)
Food...
Eric- Food
Jack- Its because we eat lots of food.
(They all laugh)
Amy- Alex, is this true?
Alex- Yes and no. When we write the lyrics to our songs, and I think thats what they are talking about, we all sit down, make some poptarts, and just write about our life and how to get through hard times. Like we have songs about self-harm, depression, love, hate. We have a song for pretty much anything, we even have songs that are not yet released. We write a lot of material, especially Lexi and I. When we are talking and one of us says something that could be good for a song we write it down and just go from there.
Amy- I see. Now we just have some fun questions for you guys.
1) Best prank on you fans.
Jack- The time we opened with one of our unreleased songs.
(Eric laughs)
Amy- Wait what?
Alex- Yeah, on our last headliner we went on stage and played a song they have never heard before, everyone was clearly shocked and confused. It was really funny though.
Amy- Okay, 2) Best prank on another band.
Eric- This time we had Lost In Your Eyes on tour with us, we invited them onto our bus. But Neil wasnt there, he was outside with a fake gun and a mask and when they got settled on the bus, Neil came in and told everyone to get on the ground. Of course they complied. But the funny thing was is me and Jack stood up and pulled out our guns and started asking him for bubble gum. The LIYE guys thought we were crazy but it was fun.
Amy- You guys seem to have fun on tour.
Alex- You know it. We dont like to sit around playing PS4 unless its at night, we usually watch the other bands or just screw around.
Amy- Who would you say is the most serious member of the band?
Eric- pffft
Jack- What Eric said
Alex- Probably Josh. Although we all have the mind of 12 year olds.
Eric- Lexi is the worst though. She comes up with all our funny stuff to do. We are all in our 20's and none of us really know how to act like it.
Amy- Well guys, one serious question now. New album?
Jack- Yes
Eric- Yes
Alex- Yes
Amy- Just yes?
Jack- Yes
Alex- There will be a new album.
Amy- Soon?
Alex- Maybe, thats a surprise.
Eric- This one is gonna be different though. Thats all im saying.
