To continue on with the last mysterious track which floated online, another 'cheeky' and fun track has made it's way into music lovers ears. The song is an uptempo, 80's inspired and synth driven song, from who? That part is unknown. The voice sounds almost familiar but not quite. The track surfaced online, being uploaded onto soundcloud and making it's way to social media sites across the net. Only this much is known; the track is titled 'Cheerleader', it is a female vocalist, and has a very much sarcastic wit to her. You can also hear a British accent, which can eliminate some suspects already (unless it's a trick!) The song oozes fun and happiness with it's funny and smart mouth lyrics, it's sarcastic nature being felt throughout the whole song. The singer uses this to their advantage when talking about cheering someone on through their hardships but not really caring about their struggles. She proclaims, "It's not love just infatuation/But I'll be there with no hesitation/Now matter how fucked up the situation/I'm, your little cheerleader" and probably has others joining in on her 'heartfelt' sympathy. While it seems the singer is offering her hand, she's really making a play on words and instead, mocks the person in need but giving her devotion to continue and pretend to cheer them on. Musically, it’s an upbeat, catchy cut with the simple but soaring synth progressions characteristic of mid-80′s pop. At first listen, it seems a bit throwaway, even forgettable, but that’s the magic of this piece: it is SO not. The infectious chorus makes you want to sing along and dance as well. The song is perfect for a large crowd or even just one person in their bedroom. Not else much is known of the origins of the track or the singer but it's attracted quite some attention and some dubbing it as one of the summer anthems of 2014, with it's thunderous cheers of 'Heys' at the end of the track.
