Nova had slept in the other bedroom in order to give some privacy. She had woken up and taken a shower before she had went back to her bedroom and made her bed and laid back on top of it. She had stayed up last night baking cookies with Ashley and Isaac, which turned out perfect. Today was also the potluck dinner which she hoped would go well. She yawned a little.

Christopher walks out of the bathroom, fresh from his shower with a towel around his waist. He makes his way straight over to the kitchen, smiling at any housemate her passes. "So it's the potluck thing tonight, right?"

Nova hears Chris and she nods. "Yup." She says then looks through her things. She stretches a little then heads to the kitchen for a bottle of water, going back to her room, after saying "Morning" to Vara when she sees her.

Daisy comes back into the kitchen when she starts to hear people milling about at last. She felt like she had been awake for hours before anyone else had awoken. She smiles when she sees them all, still holding the plate of pancakes that she had made for breakfast. "Ding ding ding ding ding. Is anyone hungry?" she calls with that infectiously sweet smile on her face.

Vara turns to see Daisy with the plate of pancakes, and her face lights up. "Oh my, you're a little blessing," she tells Daisy, realizing only now after looking at the pancakes that she was actually starving. She turns to Nova and shrugs before starting to pour herself a cup of coffee. "I don't know yet. Probably something lame. I don't know if I can stand up to your bi-racial cupcakes." She takes a sip of her coffee. "Mm, that's good. Anybody else want a cup?"

Vara laughs and motions to herself when Christopher asks if she likes pasta. "I'd be such a shame to all of Italy if I didn't like pasta, truly," she says back, purposefully making her accent come out a little bit stronger as she speaks.

Nova smiles a little. "It's not a contest, Vara. It's just dinner. I don't really care what gets made, I just want to eat." She giggled and then shook her head at Daisy. "No thanks. I had too many cookies. And no thanks Vara. Oh you guys are welcomed to the chocolate chip cookies made by Ashley, me and Isaac. It's like 9 a piece." She smiles.

"It's a big dinner where we all cook a dish. It can be your favorite or whatever you feel like cooking." Nova takes a sip of her water. "I wanted to do it last sunday but far too much was going on and everyone forgot, so Harmony decided to revive the idea. I think it would help know each other more."

Vara looks through the kitchen cabinets to find some sort of syrup. Finally finding some normal maple syrup, she pours a lot on to the two pancakes that she took. "I know it's not a contest, Nova, sweetie, but I want to at least make something good. I don't want to be the loser that shows up with, you know, shit." She laughs, taking a bite of the pancake. "Oh my god, so good." She scrunches up her face in confusion when Daisy mentions 'haggis.' "Is that really something you can eat?" she asks. "It doesn't sound edible."

Vara raises her eyebrows as well. "Spicy rice eggs? I've never even heard of those. What world do you come from where these are things that you eat?" she asks, laughing as she pours Daisy a cup of coffee and hands it to her with the cream and sugar.
