"Aww, thank you. You have the cutest everything in the world," Vara says back when Daisy compliments her laugh. Her laugh wasn't something that people normally focused on when it came to what they found attractive, so that meant a bit to her. "Did you two talk any more after she left or was it just a clean break?" She asks. "Sorry, you don't have to answer that if it makes you upset. We can stop talking about it if you want." Vara didn't wan to make Daisy upset or uncomfortable at all. Vara knew that those were her two least favorite feelings in the world, and she hated making other people feel that way. "Yeah, it was rough when we split, but probably for the best. I haven't heard from or about him in a while, so I assume he's either in rehab or... I don't know." She shrugs. She tried not to think about what might be going on with him. He was too sweet of a guy to be given up on, but his addiction made him intolerable sometimes. Of course, Vara had her own addiction that being in the house hadn't really helped all that much, but she was highly hypocritical in that way. But just like Daisy, her mood also skyrockets when they get back to the topic of sex - her favorite. "Oh, Daisy, darling, it was awful. I was, you know, just kind of bouncing there, and he was trying to tell me something, but of course I didn't speak his language, so I stopped trying to figure out what he wanted, and then pffft. It was over. I got nothing out of it." She shrugs, and then starts laughing hard again when Daisy brings up the bad sex you can have with women. "Oh my god, D, I know exactly what you're talking about. How about the ones that make you feel like you're at a damn gyno appointment? Ugh... I've stopped fooling around with girls who look like they're just trying to make college memories. I don't have time to teach ever drunk blonde with a bad tan how to eat out a girl." She shakes her head. "Friends? Oh, the TV show. Yeah, yeah, okay... which one is he?" She pictures the cast of Friends in her head, and can really only picture Lisa Kudrow. She assumes it isn't her that Daisy is talking about, even though she doesn't know any of the characters' names. "Hm, is that a challenge? Because this Italian girl never loses a challenge, Daisy," Vara says back with a wink. She wasn't sure if they were just joking around with each other, or if this was really a thing that they were talking about, but it was always fun to go with it. "Hey, she's missing out if she rejects you, darling," she says back about the Nova situation. "Just put your moves on her. I'm sure you've got them." She winks.
Vara looks up when it seems like it's time for the potluck dinner to start. "Oh, are we doing this now?" She asks, realizing that in the end, she spent all of her time talking to Daisy instead of actually cooking something. "Well, if anybody wants anything to drink, I've spent enough time in bars to know how to make some good stuff, so there's my contribution to this." She winks and smiles.
