Mike: "Hey, its Mike here with one sixth of the band Rebuild. Go ahead and tell all the kids your name and what your role is in the band."

Alex: "My name is Alex and I sing"

Mike: "Okay Alex, I think the biggest question today is, who is Rebuild? This is the first time you guys have played at Rock Magic Festival and the only people that seem to know you are your actual fans."

Alex: "Well, Rebuild is a 6 piece band from Abilene, TX and we play many different kinds of music. Each of our albums have songs that range from a softer to heavier tone of Alternative Rock."

Mike: "Many people will go out and say you guys are a metal band due to most of your songs consisting of heavy breakdowns, guitar riffs, and screams."

Alex: "I wont disagree but we do have a lot of music that is a bit easier than that. Our album "Days of Our Lives" features many more pop like choruses than our previous albums."

Mike: "Speaking of albums, I am aware that you have released a new album titled "Hope" a few weeks ago. Is this correct?"

Alex: "That is true. "Hope" was a crazy album for us because we wrote it while on tour in the U.K. and we completely changed the message of our music in that album."

Mike: "Please explain."

Alex: "Well, our past albums have just been about living your life how you want it, and not letting the world hold you back. Lexi, our female vocalists and I saw a video about teenage suicide that really touched our hearts and we both felt like we couldn't just sit by and watch this world tear kids apart to the point of them taking their own lives. We immediately started working on new material and finished it up on the last day of our U.K. tour a few months ago."

Mike: "Does this album hit close to home for you guys?"

Alex: "Yes, this album has so many of our past experiences put into it. Everyone in the band helped write the lyrics to this album. Many of us came from broken homes, suffered from depression, self harm, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts or attempts. We know what we are talking about and we just want the kids suffering from the same stuff we did or still do that there is always a way to fight and there is always hope for everyone, no matter what the circumstances."

Mike: "Do you guys do anything besides play music for kids or do you actually try to help?"

Alex: "That sounds a bit harsh, but yes, we try to meet every kid that comes up to us and try to connect with them on a personal level. We also have some of our guys who are not busy talking to kids on the internet and answering as many fans as we can. We have been told that we are life saving and that makes us happy because this isnt for us anymore, this is for the kids."

Mike: "Well, that seems to be all the time we have. Alex, ill see you guys on stage later tonight. Thanks for taking the time to let us interview you."

Alex: "Thanks for listening."

Mike: "Well, there you go. Be sure to check out Rebuild's new album "Hope" out now on their online site or in your local movie shop."
