Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Registered Joined: 11/04/2011(UTC) Posts: 14,770 Thanks: 6305 times Was thanked: 5703 time(s) in 2512 post(s)		Artist SYNCO Title Grown Release date 7/26/2014 Genre(s) R&B Pop Pop rock Dance Pop Disco Label Five Pesky Kids Records Writers Alexis Grey Jamie Jackson Naomi White Nicole Wright Layla Sanchez Deneil Khan Ava B Melanie Houston Jeffery Davis Mark Bryan Michael Black Producers Dominic Brown Deneil Khan Brandon Grey Ava B Melanie Houston Jeffery Davis Mark Bryan Michael Black "Grown" is the sophomore album from American-British girl group SYNCO the girls released their debut album last year around April it had a more teen pop sound to it the album after being released made it's way into the top five on the top 20 album charts and spawned five hit singles "Treat Your Girl Right", "Rock The Night", "Never Really Mattered", "Goodbye (Rest In Peace)" and "Don't Really Have To Go Now" the album was reviewed by music critic and blogger Honor Wynter who gave the album a 3.5 out of 5 the girls had a lot of success before and after the album was released picking up nominations at The Chaos Awards and Goldies for best new artist and best band or group last year was pretty big for SYNCO but then they just went quite they had stayed out of the spotlight and away from each other for about 6 months the girls later stated they needed time to be with their family and friends at home for a little while before retuning to the music scene with a new single "Ain't Coming Back" this song was completely different than anything on their debut album it had a more mature and R&B sound to it they had also featured Deneil Khan on the track which marked their first ever collaboration with anybody the song seemed to do pretty well it received positive comments from artists like Isabel, Austin Nimmo, Kourtney Steele and Serenity Scott the girls later released Believe it as the official second single off of the album which made the top ten on the top 20 song charts the girls have also recently joined Vans Warped Tour where they're touring with huge names like Vile Hour, Radio Vine, Pretty Little Freaks Kourtney Steele and many others the girls have been working on this album since November of last year they wanted this album to have a more mature sound to it and more mature themes while still keeping the sound they had before on a few tracks the girls finished recording in late May this year however they took awhile to release one more single and get the final tracks together Tracklist 1. American/British girl group SYNCO it's also their comeback single after a long break from music the track was produced by and features the younger brother of Weekend's Billy Khan Deneil the track was written by band members Naomi White and Alex Grey with help from Deneil Khan this track is completely different from SYNCO's usual pop sound this song has more of a sexy urban sound to it who would have thought the cute girls from SYNCO could do something like this the song starts out with this catchy beat that is a bit repetitive but still sounds pretty good it then switches to a different sound but remains somewhat the same when we hear the girls coming in their harmonies sound different here more seductive and sexy than they usually would and right after the girls Harmonize "Here You Are" we hear Alex come in with that mature deep voice she also continues singing in a seductive sexy way this continues throughout the verse until we hear Nicole come in she sings in a slightly higher voice but keeps the sexy and seductiveness of the song going which is odd becuase Nicole is known to be one of the most innocent girls of the group to hear her sing like this is a bit odd but still sounds pretty amazing we don't hear the girls harmonize again until we hear them all sing together "I don't" then Nicole continues singing throughout the verse in that same seductive voice as before after ending the verse it goes into the chorus where we now hear Layla taking a majority of it she somehow continues the seductive sound even though she has a completely different amd unique voice she doesn't add any riffs or runs which we're use to hearing from Layla she just sings through it sounding like she's building up to something it then does we hear the girls singing all together in harmony once again as they repeat each word twice before the last part comes "You Ain't Comin' Back" is said in a deep voice it's uncertain who it is saying that part as the voice is highly edited but it sounds like it could be either Naomi or Alex after that we hear that catchy beat come in again which is bound to make you at least bob your head to it we then hear the girls come back in with those seductive harmonies and this time we hear Naomi singing the solo parts sounding completely different than she usually would she usually has a more bluesy voice but on this track she sounds almost exactly like Alex with a slight difference Naomi continues singing seductively like her band mates did before and they continue doing the harmonies and solos until we hear Jamie come in singing like Nicole did before in a higher but still sexy voice she sounds completely different from Nicole though but her vocals aren't showed off here like they usually are this part goes by almost exactly like Nicole's with Jamie getting more of a solo and the girls harmonizing once after the verse finishes we hear Layla come in with the chorus again which is sung just like before and after the chorus we hear that beat come in again this time with Deneil rapping though throughout the song the girls have been singing about not wanting a guy anymore and being too good for him now the whole track however Deneil raps about his side of the story he speaks of the girls in a nasty way saying how whichever one was only the side chick and referring to them as his rental while his Bugatti was at home he also add an Austin Nimmo reference in the rap who is known to be Layla's boyfriend at the moment after Deneil's rap is finished we hear the chorus come in again sang the same way as before but this time there are some ad libs added the song then continues until the last "You Ain't Comin' Back" it then comes to an end The girls + Deneil's comments Alex "I really love this track I love how it's so different from anything we've ever done I mean pop is fun and good and easy on the ears but it's always fun to explore other sounds and experiment a bit and just writing this track I knew it was going to be different from anything we did of course I had Naomi's help she was a huge help there were lyrics I was unsure about and she just switched them with these other amazing lyrics the writing and recording process for this track was so much fun I really enjoyed working with Deneil he's a pretty good guy even if he's trashing us in this song he really wrote his part well and he did an amazing job producing sometimes with a producer it's really tough to work because some people can be bossy and well I can be bossy but Deneil was amazing to work with it took awhile to come up with the perfect sound but he did it and I'm really glad that he said yes to featuring on this track he really did help us a hell of a lot and I really do hope we get to work with him again in the future because it was awesome" Naomi "First I wanna say working with Deneil was amazing he's probably one of my favorite people that we've worked with so far and that's saying something because I really do love everyone we've worked with so far he's just a really talented producer and rapper he's also a really chill guy even though that might not be shown much on the song I was so happy to be working with him after hearing some of his own stuff and some of the stuff he's produced already it was really cool and this song it's amazing probably my favorite song we've recorded ever I really loved the lyrics when Alex showed me them but they did need some work so I added some things and we bounced ideas off of each other and just got things going I love how different this song is it's sexier than anything we've ever done and it's got a more urban sound to it so I'm loving that too I'm just happy that we're able to show that SYNCO aren't just these cute little girls anymore we can be different and we can be mature I think this song shows that it shows how much we've grown as artists and individuals and I'm really glad about that I hope other people see it too and I hope everyone loves this song as much as we do too" Deneil "Working with the girls was a terrific experience and it was really different to any writing and recording session that I've ever done with another act. Usually I stay at home and do everything in there. I've got a built-in recording studio and I usually invite other artists around but this collaboration was a little different. I first read the lyrics to the song when Billy showed me the first draft of it. Obviously, being the owner of Pesky and working close with the girls, he has access to all of that stuff. Without even hearing the beat, I knew it was a little different to the stuff they have done before just by reading the lyrics. I think Billy must have said to one of the girls that I liked the look of the song because Riley, their manager, contacted me the next day and asked if I'd be interested in featuring and producing the track as they wanted to go for an edgier, urban sound for this single. I would have been a fool to have turned the chance down. I went into Pesky studios with the girls to work on "Ain't Coming Back" and it was the first time that I had been in a big studio, surrounded by lots of stars. It actually felt so official compared to the little studio in my basement. It took a few days to actually get the production just right. One version of the song sounded a bit odd when it came to the rapping, another version didn't really suit the melody but was killer when it came to the rap so it was a long process trying to get the perfect sound. It was a tiring but enjoyable experience working with the SYNCO girls, they are really talented and so humble. I'd definitely work with them again. Oh and before I forget, my rap sounds a little bit....nasty and I just want to clarify that I'm nothing like that and it was recorded only to suit the theme of the song (laughs), don't start hating now! I hope everyone enjoys it as much as we do." track on girl group SYNCO's album the song was written by Alex Grey and Michael Black it was also produced by Michael Black Alex began writing the song when she was home she had gone to a music festival and said she was having the time of her life and the lyrics just came to her by the time the girls started recording their album Alex showed them this song and all the girls loved it Michael Black had also loved the idea of the song but thought it needed some fixing up so he and Alex began coming up with more ideas for the song when it hit them they wanted to make this song sort of like a little sequel to Red light from their debut album the idea behind red light was talking about a relationship but explaining it as a road this song sort of does the same thing but is about a different topic rather than wanting to wait to get to serious in a relationship this song is more about partying and having fun and never wanting to grow up which if you think about it is a little ironic to be on an album titled Grown The song starts out we hear the five girls singing together not in unison there's no beat at all yet but after two seconds we hear a drum make it's way in the girls continue singing together until they get to "we're gonna tear it all down and watch you build it all" at that point we hear a whole bunch of people yelling after that we hear a guitar make it's way into the beat and Layla starts singing Layla doesn't add any runs in her verse like she usually would instead she just sings it regularly after finishing her part we hear Nicole coming in picking up where Layla left off she continues singing the verse until we hear the pre-chorus come in which is sung by Alex Alex sings this in a softer tone than she usually would making it sound like she's pleading with you not to leave the party we then hear all the girls come in again singing in unison throughout the chorus of the song before Jamie comes in singing in a different way than we're use to she's not showing off her vocal skills or range but just singing like she's carefree like the other girls earlier we then hear Naomi come in picking up where Jamie left off she continues singing in the same style as the other girls before her before we hear Alex come in for the pre-chorus which is sung the same way it was before we then hear the chorus once more with all five girls singing and then a bunch of other people singing the last parts before the song goes to the bridge which is pretty much just Alex singing the pre-chorus once again but this time sounding a little more desperate for the listener to stay she then holds the last part for a few seconds as it builds back up to the chorus which is sung like before after it's finished the song comes to a complete end Layla Alex Nicole Lenght: 4:21 Writer(s): Ava B, Alex Grey, Jamie Jackson, Nicole Wright, Naomi White, Layla Sanchez Producer(s): Ava B "TLC" is the fourth track off of girl group SYNCO's sophomore album the song was written by all of the girls and Ava B during a writing session they wrote about 10 other songs as well most of which didn't make it to the album this song is also another love song they speak about doing whatever the boy they love wants some of the lyrics can sound a bit dirty for such young girls but they still keep it clean there isn't really a lead vocalist in this song all of the girls shine in their own way maybe Layla shines a bit more with her part in the bridge it really gets you more into the song because you can tell her and Nicole are really meaning what they say maybe it's because they both have a boyfriend and a fiance but still you can just tell they're meaning it a lot this song is a bit of a slower track compared to the previous one it was also produced by songwriter/producer Ava B The song starts out with a piano playing slowly on the higher keys we hear Jamie singing "Oooh ooh oh oooohh" as the intro continues playing after a few seconds we hear Jamie come in with actual lyrics singing them rather quickly the girls come in harmonizing for one part in this part before we hear Jamie take over again and finish it up we then hear Jamie actually sing slower keeping her voice lower and deeper to fit with the melody of the song she shares this verse with Nicole who also sings low and deep like Jamie did before after finishing the verse we hear all of the girls come in for the chorus where they all harmonize together this is one of the tracks where they really show off their harmonizing together their voices are all completely different but blend together so well in their harmonies almost bringing a sixth voice into the song it sounds like the girls continue harmonizing throughout the chorus before getting to the second verse which is taken by Naomi who does what Jamie had done earlier she sings faster than usual but still keeps it going with the melody of the song after finishing that we hear her sing slower she also keeps up that deeper lower voice which her and Alex are actually the best at doing in the group after Naomi finishes her part in the verse we hear Alex come in singing the song the same way however it sounds more natural for her than it did the other girls her seductive husky voice fits well with the song we then hear the chorus come in once again before the bridge kicks in where we finally hear Layla who doesn't do the fast part like the girls before her and doesn't keep it low or deep either instead she sings a bit higher with her unique raspy voice that most people love she continues singing through her part this way before she finally ends the bridge the chorus then comes back in and the girls all sing together once again however this time there are a few ad-libs added by Jamie, Layla and Nicole Genre: Pop Lenght: 3:54 Writer(s): Melanie Houston Producer(s): Melanie Houston "Just stay Out Of This" is the fifth track on girl group SYNCO's sophomore album the song was written for the girls by Melanie Houston who was originally going to give the song to Ashley Grimmie but Ashley turned it down saying it wasn't really her style when the girls contacted Melanie to help produce and write for them she thought this song would be perfect for SYNCO the song goes back to SYNCO's pop roots that they had from their debut album the song talks about that time that you're so in love with somebody but they keep on hurting you and for some reason you just can't leave that relationship something always pulls you back into it and you just can't stay out of it the girls loved the idea of the song as it was so relatable to them and many other people so the girls got into the studio and recorded this song this one is definitely a stand out on the album mainly because the poppy sound it has unlike most of the other songs which are mainly R&B The song starts out with a guitar playing and a whistle which sounds like the chorus this goes on for a few seconds before we hear Layla come in with that unique voice that we know from her she doesn't have the strongest voice in SYNCO but her light vocals with that slight rasp and her usual flawless runs makes her one of the favorites in the group however she didn't show off her runs too much on this part of the song instead she sings in a more laid back tone after Layla finishes her part of the chorus we hear Nicole come in also singing in that more laid back voice rather than showing any of the strength and range in her voice after Nicole finishes her part we hear Jamie come in singing a pre-chorus singing it like the girls did before but near the end she gets a bit higher the song then starts to pick up a little as we hear Layla who takes lead on this song come back in and sing most of the chorus still not adding any of her runs we then hear all of the girls come in as they sing "Just stay out of this" they hold the note for a little while each time we then hear Naomi come in for the second verse she sings in a slightly deeper tone and adds a small run on one of her parts before we hear Alex come in singing in the same voice almost as Naomi as she sings the same part Jamie did before the chorus then repeats itself once again the same way as before however this time the beat doesn't slow back down instead it goes into the bridge which is taken by Jamie this is where she shows a little bit more of that power in her voice singing high and even adding some runs in as she finishes the bridge we hear Alex in the background but only slightly as she sings loud and adds a riff in her part of the bridge which is "Made up my mind" before we hear all of the girls come in harmonizing "And I know this time" we then hear thew whistle once againwith the guitar from before however this time we hear Layla come in while the whistle is going on and take over this time she's showing off her vocals a bit more as all the girls sing "Just stay out of this" Layla's voice can be heard more than anyone else's after Bryan this song is one of the slower ballads on the album it speaks of that relationship you're confused about where the person treats you great one day then doesn't even acknowledge your existence the next most of the girls could relate to the lyrics to this song they all loved the idea of it and the idea of them getting to show their fans a little bit more of their vocals though all of the girls sound amazing on this track the clear standouts are Jamie and Nicole who put their all into the final chorus of this song and really brought the house down together however Layla also get's a pretty good part on here and the girls' harmonizing sounds amazingly beautiful on this track The song starts out with a piano being played slowly it plays for a little while before we finally hear Alex Grey start the song in that deep husky and somewhat sexy voice that we've come to love from her she then switches out with Naomi and the switch get's right passed you as Naomi sounds almost like Alex on this track after finishing the first verse Nicole takes the pre-chorus which is shared with Layla Nicole sings in a bit of a softer voice as she sings about how this is driving her crazy and she's losing hope we then hear Layla come in singing in that same way before the bridge comes to an end after that we hear Jamie come in not completely showing off her vocals but giving a little taste of what's to come even when she wasn't singing at her fullest Jamie sounded amazing as she continues to sing the girls all can be heard harmonizing "Where are we" in the background sounding amazing after the chorus finishes we hear Naomi come in for the second verse she sings it in the same way she did before we then hear Alex take over singing the same way and then Nicole who also sings in this way however her voice was nowhere near as deep as the others we then hear Naomi come back and finish the second verse we then hear Nicole come in for the bridge singing the same way as before and then Layla get's her part and does it like before however near the end she goes higher and adds a little run in it before we hear the chorus once again which is done the same way however after the chorus we hear Jamie come in taking most of the bridge she sings it amazingly not showing off the power in her vocals just yet but showing so much emotion we then hear Layla come in singing in a lighter sweeter voice with Nicole adding back up singing in a higher voice showing a little more of that power in it as they get to the chorus Nicole is still holding her last note this is definitely the strongest point in the song as we hear both Nicole and Jamie putting everything they have in this part they sing separately most of the time but the song sounds so much more amazing when they're songs she showed it to Jamie who also added a few lines the girls then brought it to Ava B who helped them finish the song this song is different from most of the other songs on the album it speaks about not feeling good enough or pretty enough to fit in this society each of the girls have struggled with this at one point in time and still do most of the time they also know that they're fans might feel that way sometimes as well which is why it was so important for them to get this song out there the song wanting the perfect body perfect face and everything and it speaks about how hard it can be not to have all of these things in today's society however at the end the girl in the song seems to accept herself vocally each girl really shines on this song mainly the bridge they really showed their how talented they each are vocally in that part The song begins with a repetitive beat as we hear the girls all sing "Oh oh" togetherthe beat continues on for a little before we actually hear the first girl come in for the first verse which is Naomisinging in a lower voice like usual Naomi sings her part well before Jamie comes in and finishes up the verse singing the same way but a little higher than Naomi we then hear the chorus come in where all the girls are harmonizing each girls voice blends perfectly almost like they're melting together we also hear Layla take two parts of the chorus with that unique light voice of hers however the slight rasp makes it sound so much better she doesn't add any runs in like she usually would but she still sings her part well after the chorus we hear Alex come in for the second verse she sings a bit lower than Naomi had earlier which is something Alex was known for her deep low sexy voice after Alex finishes her part of the verse we hear Nicole come in singing her part a little differently from Jamie but not too differently she adds a little more strength to it than Jamie did after finishing the second verse we hear the chorus once again which is sung the same way again now this is the part where it gets amazing the bridge which is shared by every girl all of the girls are showing of their vocals here in different ways Jamie starts it showing off her amazing range it then flawlessly switches to Naomi who takes the next part singing low and deep sounding seductive in a way as she does we then hear Alex come in after another flawless switch she sings even lower than Naomi did and she sounded amazing however she didn't get too many parts before it switches over to Nicole who was obviously putting everything she could into this song showing her range and strength we then hear it switch over to Layla who is now adding those runs in and using all of the strength she could in her voice which sounded amazing the girls then all finish the bridge together as they harmonize and this is probably the best they have ever harmonized before their voices blended together perfectly as they kept going higher with each word after finishing the bridge we're back into the chorus which is sung with more power and emotion this time than before by all of the girls after the chorus finishes we hear a little outro sung by seventh single from American-British girl group SYNCO from their up coming sophomore album "Grown" the girls recently released another single before this one but aren't counting it as it hasn't actually made the album anyway this song is more of a balled unlike the previous two singles the girls say the song is about that moment when you feel broken down and alone which is something that too many teenage girls and even guys go through but the song tells them to pick their self up and try to move on from these experiences the song was written by only the SYNCO girls Layla, Jamie, Nicole, Alex and Naomi the girls said they have all had this feeling and still do sometimes have these feelings which is why they came together and wrote this song wanting to show others that their not alone and others have also felt the way they're feeling and sometimes even worse on to the song it starts out with the sound of an old radio static which is playing a little beat that goes on for a few seconds before we hear the actual song kick in and we hear Jamie start it she sings the first part of the verse well after her part we hear Nicole come singing like Jamie just did sounding well not overdoing it we then hear all the girls come in for the pre-chorus harmonizing together before we finally get into the chorus where we hear Layla take over for singing her part of the chorus which is shared with Naomi which is a surprise seeing as Naomi doesn't usually get huge parts like this in the song however both of the girls done their parts in the chorus really well we then hear Alex come in for the second verse Alex is usually known for her breathtaking deeper husky voice however she doesn't really show that much in this song as she sings in a bit of a sweeter tone than usual not sounding too sweet but more so than usual after her part we hear Jamie come in again showing a bit more of the power in her voice this time compared to the verse the pre-chorus comes in again where the girls are harmonizing however we hear Jamie a little more over the girls this time which sounds good after that the chorus comes in once again then the bridge of the song where we hear the girls harmonizing unlike before though the girls sound more breathtaking their voices blend together perfectly we then hear Nicole come in in the bridge singing "Show them all what you got now" showing a lot of power in her voice which is something we don't usually get from Nicole she brings out more emotion in an already emotional song as she also adds back up in the chorus really showing off her voice more we then hear the chorus once more after it finishes this time the girls aren't singing with a beat instead we just hear clapping as they sing we then hear Namoi say "Believe It" once more before the song comes to an end overall this is a really good song good lyrics from the girls the star of this song however is surprisingly Nicole showing off a side to her voice that nobody even Alex Grey and Jamie Jackson the song was also produced by Michael and Mark the song is another ballad however this one doesn't show all of the girls' voices off it's mainly Jamie's that we hear on this track the song speaks about falling in love again after a hard time like a tough break up in the beginning you hate the idea of love because what had happened before but then this person just sneaks there way into your heart and you can't help but fall in love again Jamie takes the lead on this track even though all of the girls get solos we mainly hear Jamie the song doesn't show of their harmonies as much as we'd like which is definitely one of the downsides to this song the song does stick out a bit but that's mainly because it would just fit in on any other album they did The song opens with a slow beautiful intro which plays out for a few seconds before we hear the beat fully kick in sounding more poppy than before however it keeps that same sound to it we then hear Alex's voice on the track after the intro finishes Alex really shows off here how incredibly beautiful her voice can be despite not being able to go s high as Jamie, Layla or Nicole her voice still sounds amazing her low voice really brings something special to every song this one included after finishing her part in the verse we hear Naomi come in singing in a similar way to Alex but a little bit higher she also adds a small run to her part Naomi was good at low notes but ir seemed more natural when Alex did them she wasn't amazing at doing runs like Jamie and Layla but she could do them after Naomi finishes the verse up we hear Nicole come in singing a little higher than the two before her she sounded good as she sang her part but didn't really get to show off her vocals too much after Nicole finishes the pre-chorus we hear Jamie come in next taking up most of the chorus sounding good but also not showing off her vocals too much until she gets to the main part in the chorus where her and the girls repeat "Falling in love, in love, in love" she sings most of it and the girls only add back up on time each time they do it after that we hear Jamie's voice come in again as she starts the second verse she sings in a higher voice then the two before her sounding beautiful Jamie's high notes and low notes were stunning she obviously had one of the best vocal ranges in the group after Jamie finishes her part in the second verse we hear Nicole come in who also had a nice range but again wasn't really showing it off here she continued singing in a high voice as well but not too high before we hear Layla come in with the pre-chorus this time singing it differently she sounds great singing this part as she add in a few runs her unique voice fit this part just as much Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Registered Joined: 11/04/2011(UTC) Posts: 14,770 Thanks: 6305 times Was thanked: 5703 time(s) in 2512 post(s)		Title: I Hate That I Love You Label: Five Pesky Kids Records Genre: R&B, pop Length: 2:58 Writer(s): Ava B Producer(s): Ava B "I Hate That I Love You" Is the tenth track on girl group SYNCO's sophomore album the song was written and produced by Ava B who came to the girls with the song she had written about a previous relationship she had she wasn't sure if she wanted to give them the song at first but after realizing the girls' vocal talent on the song she knew they were the right artists for this song as she wanted the singer to show all of the emotions she had writing this song the song is a very simple one but is full of emotion at the same time the girls all get an even number of solos on this one and harmonize throughout the whole chorus which is great the girls all put a lot in to this song as they knew a lot of people including their selves could probably relate to the lyrics of it The song starts out with a piano being played by itself this goes on for awhile until we hear Naomi start the song she sings in a higher voice than we've heard so far on the album apart from "All Over" of course we then hear Naomi and Alex switch parts throughout the verse sounding almost the same before Naomi finally finishes up the first verse we then hear the girls all come in together singing the chorus of the song the beat stays simple and slow as they harmonize together sounding beautiful they bring some kind of emotion to the rather repetitive chorus they're voices also fit together perfect almost like a puzzle if one of the girls was missing the harmony just wouldn't be complete and full like it is after finishing the first verse we hear Jamie come in singing in a similar way to Naomi and Alex earlier however it's a lot easier to tell the difference in her verse she shares this verse with Layla who has a unique voice so unlike Naomi and Alex where they almost sounded the same it was easy to tell here when Jamie and Layla would switch the girls continue singing until Layla brings their verse to an end adding some of her little runs to the last few words the girls then go back into the chorus which is sung almost the same but this time we can hear Jamie's voice a little over the girls they still sound amazing though after finishing the chorus it goes into the bridge which is sung by Nicole who actually sounds hurt as she sings the song she puts so much power and emotion into her part which definitely makes it stand out a bit from the others after finishing the bridge with one of her high long notes we get back into the chorus which is sung like before but with some added runs from each of the girls this time the girls bring to chorus to an end and we hear the piano playing once again this time the outro after that finishes the song comes to an end Layla Alex Nicole Jamie Naomi All Can't take another fight between you and I I can't walk out though you're touch just feels so right What am I doing here? Melanie Houston "One More Chance" is the eleventh track on girl group SYNCO's sophomore album it was written by Melanie Houston and Mark Bryan it was also produced by the two of them the song is about letting go of someone after hearing bad things about them from other people but then realizing how happy that person made you and wanting them back the girls once again could relate to this song and wanted to record it the song is more uptempo than the last few songs it has more of a pop sound than R&B sound to it but there's still that slight R&B in it the girls all sound good on this song but Nicole honestly stands out a bit more as she took the lead on this song she showed off that range she has a little more and that power in her voice we also hear Naomi in the background at one point giving us another whistle note which sounds good The song opens up witha fun beat that plays out for a few seconds which draws you in before we hear Alex come in singing a bit higher than she usually would but still pretty low as she sings along to the beat after that we hear Naomi come in who she usually shares verses with singing almost the same way as her she then finishes up the verse and it goes into the pre-chorus where we hear Jamie singing in a higher voice than the girls before her she continues singing this way until we get into the chorus which Nicole takes most of Nicole sings with that unique voice starting off a little low but then going higher every time she sings "I won't listen to anyone else no matter what they're saying" and "And now I won't let nobody come between us" after singing that part we hear all the girls come in harmonizing together as they sing "Just one more just one more just one more just one more just one more just give me one more chance boy" They do this twice before the chorus ends after the chorus ends we hear Layla come in this time singing in a lower voice like the girls before her however it sounds a little more forced from Layla than them as she has a naturally higher voice we then hear all the girls harmonize in the verse they all sing "is it now too late" before we hear Naomi come in taking over the rest of the verse singing it the same way she did before after that we hear Nicole come in for the pre-chorus this time it's sung by Nicole who sings it a bit louder than Jamie did before her showing a little bit of that power in her voice as she sings it before we hear her come in again for the chorus which is sung the same way with Nicole taking most of it then the girls singing the last few parts for the bridge we hear Layla come in singing the same lyrics from the re-chorus however at the end we hear Nicole come in singing "Oh" loud and long she even goes higher as well as the other girls harmonize the part from the end of the chorus we then hear Nicole come back in for the actual chorus now however this time Layla and Jamie add some ad-libs and we hear Naomi in the back adding in a two whistle notes as the chorus comes to an end the beat stops leaving all the girls to harmonize acapella which sounds amazing the song then ends Layla Alex Nicole Jamie Naomi All Where have you been at? Length: 4:22 Writer(s): Mark Bryan Producer(s): Mark Bryan "Over" is the twelfth track on girl group SYNCO's sophomore album this song was written by Mark Bryan and it was also produced by him as well the girls posted an acoustic version of the song back in late December it got nice comments from artists like Kourtney, Kidd Amaze, Isabel and even a member from The Dolls Lacy leaving all good comments when the girls first heard the idea of the song they loved it it's about falling out of love no reason just losing that spark that you had before of course almost all of the girls could relate to this message once again and when Mark told them that they'd really get to show of their harmonies on this one the girls jumped at it it was actually the very first confirmed song on the album the girls loved the way this song sounded none of the girls stick out too much in this one however their harmonies are absolutely beautiful through all of it which is what is good in a girl group you never want one certain person to stick out too much you want it to be more about the group and out of all the songs on the album this one is more about the group than any certain member though Layla does get a small portion of the chorus it's still more focused on their stunning harmonies The song starts iut with the girls harmonizing acapella just like in the video however unlike in the low quality video you can hear the girls even better now than before as they sing together in a perfect harmony the girls' voice almost sound like instruments together after they finish the opening of the song we hear Jamie come in singing in a very high tone adding a few little runs to her part there's also a guitar being lightly strummed now and a piano playing in the background as she sings unlike in the video where it was only a guitar that could barely be heard after finishing her part we hear Alex come in now these two don't usually share verses together but after this it's proven that they should more often as it's nice to hear Alex's deep sexy husky voice after Jamie's incredibly high beautiful voice these two have both been called leader of the band before on many occasions however the leader was actually Alex but recently the girls decided it's best not to have a leader and just go with the flow after they finish the verse we hear Layla come in singing a little bit of the chorus in that unique higher voice with a slight rasp that we're use to hearing she also adds a few of her runs which she executed flawlessly as always the girls then all come in singing the rest of the chorus together their voices blending with each others perfectly almost sounding like there's a sixth member singing with them the girls continue to sing the chorus together until it comes to an end we then hear Nicole come in singing in a higher voice like Jamie did before her she continues singing this way until it switches to Layla who has a unique voice and isn't usually good at singing too low however she seems to be doing it just fine here as she adds in a few little runs and goes lower before we hear the chorus which is sung the same way we then hear Naomi come in singing the bridge the guitar slowed down a lot as she sang this part in a higher voice than usual we now see that beautiful range that Naomi had been hiding or hadn't really got to show before after singing the bridge it goes back into the chorus however the guitar stops and Layla is now singing the first few parts alone acapella her unique voice sounded beautiful as she sang these parts after she finishes her solo part in the song we hear the guitar and piano come back in as all the girls finish the song together we then hear the guitar strum alone a few times before the song
