Better In Tongues (stylized as Βεττερ Ιν Τονγυεσ) is the fourth studio album by American Hip Hop duo Rum & Coke. The album is to be released by Studio60 Records and it's sub-label, Tric-Jam Records. It's preceded by the release of their surprise junior studio album Perks of Fame (2014), released exclusively through the iTunes Store by their major label. Lyrically, Βεττερ Ιν Τονγυεσ is a conceptual album based on the strains of love, speaking on sex, lies and heartbreak. It is planted in the genre of Hip Hop and mainly sprouts into many subgenres of it, such as Alternative Hip Hop, Experimental Hip Hop, Glitch Hop and even Raggaeton.
The album was recorded mostly at several studios in California with producers such as inZane, Flame 1&2, Anniken Dahl-Smith, mISTER_b and Tisha Jackson, but majority of it was produced by the duo's very own rapper, Rum, under her new producing name, FancyÑ. Upon its release, Βεττερ Ιν Τονγυεσ received rave reviews from music critics, who praised its thematic scope and the album's lyrics.
The album was first accompanied by The Sweetest Thing(2013), a 4-track EP by American singer Coke from the duo Rum & Coke. Produced by NinaT, Flame 1&2 and inZane, it was released exclusively on December 28, 2014 solely available with the purchase of her fragrance by Gucci entitled Gucci. It managed to climb its way all the way up to #7 on all genre charts, and now, months later, is said to be one of the many factors that made Gucci the best selling fragrance of 2014. Βεττερ Ιν Τονγυεσ' lead single, Sentenced4Life peaked at number 3 on the charts after being premiered at the 2014 Chaos awards in May. The second single, which has been released recently, Hotels has peaked #3 on all genre charts and has been #1 on urban airplay charts since it was first released. The album has been promoted, so far, through performances on Chaos VIII Awards, a one night only TRL special and PIRCTUREPERFECT'S Rager's Place. The duo has been one of the many rumored artists who are being considered for the Superbowl XLVIII halftime and their Instagram posts have hinted at a world tour for the album with a follow up for their successful Import/Export Tour.
