Gory I. Lids(statement 1): This single is written about a girl that I met. I felt like it was love, we had so much in common, mostly our shattered dreams of a bleak tomorrow. She's a huge fan of literature and she told me her favorite book was "Heart of Darkness" by Conrad. And I love that book(to be fair, I've never read it), so I wrote this song about our hearts of darkness, how we were soul mates so we couldn't be soulless. It was one of the first actual love songs I ever wrote. Sadly, this love slipped my hands, and the song is just a reminder of something that wasn't meant to be, so now my heart is full of double darkness. I've written a sequel to the song about my heart break that we recorded. It's depressing and I'm quite fond of it, though the world will hate it, like they hate everything I do.

And I am quite happy about that, but all the fame and fortune this brings me cannot make the pain and suffering I go through worth it.
