From the Album: TBA

After releasing "Love Songs," Cherry Street's debut album, last May, the upbeat group of girls have finally started to come back to the music world with some new tunes for their fans to enjoy. The group has always decidedly been branched off from other, more mainstream, girl groups like SYNCO or The Dolls, making a name for themselves as "the girl group for the indie crowd." The group has successfully kept a low-profile since the release of their debut album. They very rarely announce themselves on social media, have kept their appearances in the public very private, and although many of them are dating, even their dating lives seem to be underwraps. Overall, the girls have kept their heads down and stayed out of the limelight, which in many ways has done them well. The indie/"coffeeshop" crowd loves them because of it, and although going on like that will never earn them any awards, they definitely have shown that their music is much more important to them than any Twitter feud or headline, and for that, many people appreciate them, and their hipster-y debut album. Their new music appears to be no different. What is different, however, is who is writing and producing their new song. Their last album was all completely written by the group, and produced by Reza Vranitzky, whose name is becoming more and more known as she continues to produce other #1 albums and write for her television show, Everything's Fine. But Vranitzky's touch isn't featured on this album. Instead, two new names are written: Twin sisters, Sonja and Luna Montgomery. The sister team are good friends of Reza Vranitzky, and their song was pushed along to Cherry Street, who decided that the song the sisters had written would be perfect for their first release off of their upcoming second album.

The song tells the story of a man and woman whose relationship has turned sour and the woman has found somebody else, which is very difficult for the man to accept. The woman feels a lot of guilt about this, but can't change it, so she has to keep on living her life. The song starts off with Tessa, who is the unnamed leader of Cherry Street, who explains the background of the situation that she and this man find themselves in: The couple knew that they had problems, so they took some time apart - as suggested by the man. When they did, the woman found somebody else and realized that she had fallen in love with them as well. Aubrey sings the next part, singing directly to the man in question, saying that she knows that she's broken his trust and that she feels a lot of guilt about it. The man still wants her back in spite of all that's happened, and Aubrey begs him not to say that he loves her, because that would just make her feel even worse about all the lies that she's told. All four of the girls sing the chorus together, where they emotionally sing that they'll continue living in this man's mind - saying that although they won't be with him anymore, he'll always have memories of them together, and that's it. They're waiting for the storms to break - saying that they're waiting for all of the emotions and bitterness towards each other to blow over. At the end, they sing that they know heaven won't open for them, which means that they know that no matter what comes of this situation, it won't be perfect.

The next verse starts off with Vanessa Lynn, who sings that the center of all the commotion and anger towards each other is in their house, and that they need to stay away from each other if they ever expect to be happy again. She begs again, wanting him to never say that he thinks she'd ever be a good spouse. In her heart, she feels that she'd never be a good one - not anymore - because of the guilt she feels out of how she's betrayed her boyfriend. Eva sings the last part of the second verse, describing herself as too "feral and young" for anybody to tame. She finishes off the verse by promising her ex-boyfriend that he doesn't want somebody like her around because all she'd ever cause is trouble. The girls sing the chorus again before going into the bridge, where they repeat the word "Love," over and over in a very monotone - almost sarcastic - way. They're all very fed up and "over" love, you could say, and they just simply don't believe that it's as great of a thing as people try to make it out to be anymore. The song ends with them repeating, "We're waiting for the storms to break," four times, and then fades out with that being the last line, meaning that even now, they're still waiting for the fighting to be over and for them to be okay again.

All

Took some time apart, like you wanted to do
Realized, realized I loved him the same way too

I know I broke your trust, I have such teary eyes
Please don't say you love me, even with all my lies

I'll keep living in your mind
I'll keep living in your mind
We're waiting for the storms to break
Heaven won't open for us
Heaven won't open for us
Heaven won't open for

The eye of the storm is in our tiny house
Please don't ever say you think I'd be a good spouse

I'm much too feral and young for you to hold down
You don't want somebody like me around

I'll keep living in your mind
I'll keep living in your mind
We're waiting for the storms to break
Heaven won't open for us
Heaven won't open for us
Heaven won't open for

Love, love, love
Love
Love, love, love
Love

I'll keep living in your mind
I'll keep living in your mind
We're waiting for the storms to break
We're waiting for the storms to break
We're waiting for the storms to break
We're waiting for the storms to break

Chris: Cherry Street has always been different but after fuck it all I was like "Woo, hot." it seems like they write from experiences so if we can get one with a drug problem one with a sex addiction, the other has some dark drama with bf/gf and lastly one that OCD. Oh the songs they will write.

Jake: I apologize for Chris stupid idea for getting you girls to mess up your lives just for the sake of song writing he does like you guys but please do NOT try any of that.

Aubrey: Hahah, well, thanks, guys! I don't think any of us have anything quite that dark going on in our lives, but if we did, we'd make sure our fans are the first to know. Hahaha.
