(OOC: It took a while but I finally got him into another song special thanks to Famouss 7&7 and Atomic Records)
Title: They Don't Know
Length: 3:00
Genre: Hip Hop, R&B, Pop
Songwriers: Jordan Avogadro, Amelle Sebert (Miami)
Jordan Avogadro Or should we called him Mr. Stockholm now, has had a pretty good year to say the least. After getting Married to one of the hottest? but for sure one of the most controversial pop star Suzie Stockholm where gifts didn't get through the door unless the price tag had at least 5 digits. They went on their honey moon and things died down for the two. Maybe she should have gotten married sooner, I digress Jordan got pick up to debut in America as Thomason Hatter in the HBO series Consequences. Then is now releasing a song written by himself. Last time Jordan came out it was with the help of Austin Nimmo and since then Austin blew up with his own sound Jordan branched from the teen pop that Austin helped him with but that sound was so long ago does any one even remember that song?
"They Say," is featuring an hip hop feel to it and it is a short song only 3 minutes it could have been longer but this was the first time he ever written and doing music by himself what is impressive is he was able to get rapper Miami to appear on the track which got us interested. the track starts off with the drums and then go into the machine to to lay down a smooth beat as Jordan sings the hook. Then it goes into his verse as he talks about The choices he has made in his like and why people should just mind their own business. He then sings the hook again and Miami comes and raps the next verse. You can really tell the difference in there rapping style Jordan with okay simple lines and straight forwardness. Miami with complex clever lyrics. It was actually a smart idea to not let Jordan try to be what he is not a rapper, but at the same time the song isn't going to get him any street cred, or any rap fans to look at him in a different light.
This is what Miami had to say about working with Jordan,
Quote:I was contacted by Jordan's camp about featuring on a new track he was working up to release. I'm gonna be honest, I really didn't know much about Jordan prior, I mean I knew he was engaged to one of the most controversial celebrities and I knew he was an actor and did some music but that's as far as it goes. You know me, I never really judge potential collaborations before I hear the music so I was interested in what called for my assistance. The track was sent over to me and soon as I heard it I instantly thought "Whoa, this is really good" and t took me by surprise. I loved the whole message in the song, people love to judge, people love to talk and at the end of the day, they really don't know. I was able to relate to what he wrote so I automatically accepted and started working on my verse. In my verse, I decided to switch it up as opposed to Jordan's attitude. He's vulnerable but firm about his message. In my verse, I'm more desolate about the effects of people talking and being betrayed. I think it's a good contrast because not everyone is strong and firm when it comes to what others say about them, and in the track it gives another point of view for listeners to received. So yeah, the song great and I'm glad Jordan asked me to be apart of this.
Jordan
Miami
(Chorus)
They keep on talking
whispering behind my back
I know
they think they know
what is best for me
well let them talk
cause they don't know
(he say, she say)
But they don't know
They think know all about me
I'm just an open book,
for them to read
They all judge me on my actions
and think it would better if I follow their lead.
But no one has lived my life,
so don't question if I'm doing it right
Because I made some mistakes,
but so have you
and I don't care what you want to do,
cause I'm just worry about me
I'm worry about us,
a lot want to stop it cause they think we're in rush
but they can shush
don't talk and just listen
if your names not Jordan
then it's not your decision
Of what I do, or what I did
For none of that effects your world
stop finger pointing Like I'm your kid.
let them talk
(Chorus)
They keep on talking
whispering behind my back
I know
they think they know
what is best for me
well let them talk
cause they don't know
(he say, she say)
But they don't know
I sit in a dark room dwelling on my dreams
Past that door my world is bursting at the seams
So many people I've began resenting
Use these words as my personal venting
Hate myself for becoming so vengeful
My cup is empty while theirs is plump full
Ask myself who am I suppose to be
My life's been pulled out from under me
My anger builds worried one day I'll crack
It will be you not me with the knife plunged in your back
All good things must meet their demise
While the bad stuff just multiplies
They say sink or swim well I'm definitely sinking
Curl up in a bottle spend eternity drinking
Cause they don't know that I'm externally breaking
(Chorus)
They keep on talking
whispering behind my back
I know
they think they know
what is best for me
well let them talk
cause they don't know
(he say, she say)
But they don't know
