"Where Do We Go Now" is the third independent single from up-and-coming pop/rap duo J&J the two released their debut single "That Way" earlier this year which made a small impact on the Billboard hot 100 peaking at #85 then followed up on the success releasing their second independent single "Ain't Comparing" with financial help from member Joey Graham's father and production and writing help from popular Fan Choice Awards nominated producer Brandon Grey the song was a fun upbeat summer song which peaked on the hot digital charts at #14 and #18 on the top 20 airplay charts it also managed to come in at #3 on the Pop airplay charts however despite gaining an even bigger following and finally scoring a top 20 single the boys still remain unsigned and without help this time from Joey's father on the financial side of things they decided to put together their own money to record their third single which was written and produced by Joey and Justin

The song takes a different turn from anything we've heard them release so far turning away from the fun upbeat sound we heard on the first two singles we now hear a more mature side of the boys on a slower almost Drake styled track the song opens up with a piano once again however rather than having a catchy fun sound like the previous single this one is a bit slower this goes on for a few seconds before we hear the rest of the beat kick in then we hear Joey open up the track rapping in a slower more laid back style his lyrics on this track flow a lot smoother than the previous track and though he isn't singing we can still hear a bit of emotion in Joey's tone as he raps the first verse we then hear the second member of the duo Justin come in to sing his part he continues with that laid back style which matches the song despite his rather weak untrained vocals he does carry that emotion from the first verse throughout the chorus we then hear Joey come in once again as he raps in the same style we heard in the first verse before we hear Justin come back in for the chorus which once again is done the same as before however after the chorus ends this time we hearthe two boys harmonize together as they sing the line "Where do we go now?" before we hear Joey come back in for the rap this time going at a quicker pace than before as he raps throughout the bridge after finishing this part we hear Justin come back in singing the verse with a few small ad libs in the background from Joey who despite claiming not to really be a singer actually doesn't have a bad voice after the chorus finishes this time we hear the beat play for a few seconds before the song comes to an end
