Listen To the Track is is an EP in which YoungHood has song that he himself chose to put out and when asked about it he said. "I'm tired of always being told to do the same stuff, I'm more than just a freestylist, and I don't give a fuck about Drew, why is everyone so sensitive about him but when I mention, Kidd, Tyron, Daneil, 4Gurls, Rum & Coke. No one was ups in arms saying I should be burns at the steak, but I guess Drew felt some kind of way to make a song about me,and then never talk to me again, no 'Man, this is stupid lets squash it,' so it is what it is, I moved on and this is really me not going back to that." While this is a short mixtape and could have been EP, this has old songs on it was well as a new song "Hold Me Back," which was Beatfreakz again who did Remix to the song Pressure. The other three songs was a snapshot of Young's past, his break, problems, and the future. The one song that is that is missing and the reason why is he didn't want this to be about anything else but his set of mind. Track 1 is an remake of the song Stage that he sung on the TV show StarFactory, another song on there was Zero another song the he remade with a beat and reformatted. The other new song that he has been keeping close to the chest was Here that was produced by Kidd Amaze company JR productions. Young isn't worry about how people will feel that the freestyle that got him the deal wouldn't be on it but he talk to management to have have him release his own project on his own. to see if he will get all pulls on it. Will young get what he claim to deserve or is he another small fish in a smaller pond and possibly never break that glass ceiling that battle rappers have breaking into main stream.

UserPostedImage Track One ~Stage

Last Year Young Hood came to televison sets nationwide with this song that had an indie favor that was inspired from the show challenges which was indie. This year Young Hood brings the song back on his mixtape as he feels that this song was really important to plant this foot into the ground about him and his life. "This song meant a lot to me, this talks about me in a shotty apartment, never seeing my father until I got older and the resentment I have from him." The first time Young met his father was after the fact he saw him playing high school football on a big stage much like like it was when he was on Star factory and his father came out to see him when he performed it for the first time. The music of it is still the same just a studio quality mix and master to it even though this is a mixtape. Song directed at dear old dad with nothing changed? "This was the first song I sat down and really thought I was going to say and what I wanted to say."

Lyrics

Yea,
Young-hood
Indie
Rap
Just let the music ride,
I’m going to get in my zone
Zone
I’m getting in my zone

So what we going to do
Is give indie some hip-hop flare
So what I ask all of you
Is listening to the rhymes if you dare
Now, I going to spin this tale
Bout a boy that refuse to fail
How he got out of any rumble
And make it through the iron jungle
And make it to the stage
Stage
Stage
Stage

(Speed Rapping)
See long long long time of 19 years
Women got knocked up and had to face tears
Cause her man left, stage left leaving the women with two,
Mouths to feed, so she rolled her sleeves,
Lifted the struggles of a single mother, all alone,
Small home, size for a gnome
But she made do, when the cut the power you saw a different hue
But that was his cue to do better not to get mix with crews
Sat in his living room with only room in the house
He had to move because it was more of a cat and mouse
Tom and Jerry, and the music bury all the problems,
But didn’t bring the answers to solve them
Locked away, was thought about the donor
Other half that created him,
He didn’t know if he should be sad,
Cause the hate just ate at him
Why the f… should he care
Bout how their relationship should fair
Now he’s up on stage and feels a chill up in the air…
Damn,
(End of Speed rapping)

But he stayed on stage,
Stage
But what was he going to do now
With his father out in the crowd
Was he going to let the problem come up?
Was he going to be the runner up?
Could he ever come up?
He wasn’t going to let the problems drown him
Cause all he wanted was the stage
Stage
Stage.

Track 2 Patient Zero

Track two Patient Zero is a freestyle that also was preform on StarFactory. While the song didn't have any music or production to it Young wanted to put this back out and complete it with a studio sound and get it mixed and mastered.

Lyrics:

See, it don't take a lot to set it off
you just need to carry around a spark
street grimy came off the Rucker park
Check the form and way I show the arc

Patient zero is now showing signs aggression
Maybe is because rap out now is regression
going through punches with rapid succession
Changing how the cells seem to be rearranging
Cancerous tumors seem to be all around
And the immune system going on full lock down

The experiment that had kills and modify
Zero has the drive to overcome and rectify
Now the body seems to have found the fix
Keeping working cells while broken ones get hic
Crazy for me to be alive it must be cause of luck
or it cause for rap i don't give a flying fuck

this rap game is mine like my swag struck
a lot of you rappers have stupid on stuck
Seriously, but I’m the one that never had "it"
Since I’m with numbers maybe I’m a rabbit
Rabid looking at you with a mouth of foam
Feeling chrome in my hand as i aim for dome

And I’m worst at home can't be left alone
So while sit in a room jacket tight and press
I don't stress i plan a formula to test
Paradox the strongest out and wait the rest
now you might have guess that I'm more then i seem
thinking that I'm amazing doesn't sound so extreme
raw natural talent and uncut by any pressure
what I'm really capable of yet to be measure
now i so be national treasure and the 10 wonder
rolling with powerful noise like thunder
leaving any other rapper in asunder
wondering what it be without me
can't see a world where rap can breathe

Sounds Like:

Track 3: Hold me back

Track 3 produced by BeatFreakz is a new song By young hood. One of the thing you notice is talks about his upbringing but he also gives insight of what happened to gangsta rap music and feels that is what he is a part of and isn't afraid of talking about it but is also wondering why people shun that style of music. The feel of it was very urban as he talks about people holding him back from doing something dangerous, criminal, and life threatening and that is in the chorus.

(Lyrics)
I told my niggas needs to hold me back
Cause if they don’t then I might get my strap
People asking me what I’m going to do with that
But when I come out then there no going back
I told my niggas needs to hold me back
Cause if they don’t then I might get my strap
People asking me what I’m going to do with that
But when I come out then there no going back
I told my niggas need to hold me back

Imagine young laying on the floor
because that’s where your sleep
keep your head down and mouth closes
you in these dirty streets
where if your out of context
You’re another slab of dead meat
Waiting to be found in Connor Creek
Shhh, Try to keep this on low, low
Have this shit pack heading north ready to go, go
Always in these situations
Got lost in the translations
Filled with frustrations
As I hear this declarations

I told my niggas needs to hold me back
Cause if they don’t then I might get my strap
People asking me what I’m going to do with that
But when I come out then there no going back
I told my niggas needs to hold me back
Cause if they don’t then I might get my strap
People asking me what I’m going to do with that
But when I come out then there no going back
I told my niggas need to hold me back

Man I aint trying to live always on alert
And I aint trying to have blood laying in the dirt
I don’t want to live looking over my shoulder
Cause time never loses and I’m getting older
Need to hang this up before someone catch me slipping
You know how that these young bloods keep on tripping
That what my partner said
Before they found dead
This shit is real,
And y’all trying to claim this?
Man what is your deal
Cause that just aint right
Yall need some guiding light
That soap box running
Gangsta gunnings
Asking what you want out life
You want to be put on?
Want to be feature in song
Live life like a don
Have a place where you belong
Try to get your money long
have you game strong
Yall know that this shit is shit wrong

I told my niggas needs to hold me back
Cause if they don’t then I might get my strap
People asking me what I’m going to do with that
But when I come out then there no going back
I told my niggas needs to hold me back
Cause if they don’t then I might get my strap
People asking me what I’m going to do with that
But when I come out then there no going back
I told my niggas need to hold me back

Tired of always getting judge on my image
Remember when Gangsta rap wasn't vintage
I'm guessing that I'm just old school
Everything that comes my way is being burn off
Use as fuel, never left the city
but knew how to handle manure
That B.S. no Bill Simmons
No Jalen Rose, but I bring wood
and carry steel, Rep my town, my hood
it's all real, having this Detroit state of mind
Does it get better now that I signed
I'm still torture for past memories
will there ever be peace to find
Money only keeps me wake
I stay up with goals to breaks
and leave nothing but greatness in my quake

I told my niggas needs to hold me back
Cause if they don’t then I might get my strap
People asking me what I’m going to do with that
But when I come out then there no going back
I told my niggas needs to hold me back
Cause if they don’t then I might get my strap
People asking me what I’m going to do with that
But when I come out then there no going back
I told my niggas need to hold me back

The final song off of the Mixtape is a different feel to it, produced by JR Productions Here is is a song about fortitude and resistance to know that no matter what happens that you will stand tall and stand firm.

(Lyrics)
I’m sorry, if I, come out sounding rude
But I have, confidence, that I am that dude
I'm not one to bring up feelings
More likely to have drug dealings
Cause where I'm from that D
Dope boys have cash up in the ceiling
Get a fast lick it's a quick fix
Have dope fiend on those streets means
They were dropping dimes, doing time
While I tightrope around land mines
I had one gear and no brakes
All my games are big stakes
Momma told me don’t get involve
But I’m too deep to not have resolve
I made peace with all my actions
Even ones that I’m not proud of
Man I got these demons on me
While my head is looking above
These trials and tribulations
came to see me break
but if you think, your favorite has what it takes
bring them out

Cause I'm right here
Standing right here
Standing right here
Standing
if you want it come and get it I'm right here
I'll be right here
I'll be right here
I'll be right
and I'm not going nowhere, I'm am

Excuse me, if my, mentality is rough
but I feel that what I get, will never be enough
I'm just out here trying hard to make it
I know I have to take it
this maybe, my only chance
my only way out to advance
my lifestyle, and realize a dream
Can do things here for my team
My family my friends (I got you)
See no one could tell us
it's easy from what we went through
I have a lot that's on my mind
often focus on what I have to do
the lack of rest, and peace
I'm having trouble just to eat
but when I listen to this beat
I drift and get enemies off their feet
I don't even think XXL is big enough for me
to not know the legend that I'll be

Cause I'm right here
Standing right here
Standing right here
Standing
if you want it come and get it I'm right here
I'll be right here
I'll be right here
I'll be right
and I'm not going nowhere, I'm am

These people really don't seem to know
or maybe it just doesn't show
how scare this rappers are
knowing I have finally arrive
I hit so many nerves
they are waiting for the swerve
but sadly I just can't
When I'm just getting my stride
and I'm over it, PC
my mac is always with me
being political
means not having the literal
meaning you're hyper critical
when it comes to harsh lyrical
mc, that are mystical
and maybe criminal
but it typical
Rather it stereotypical
not looking at the individual

Cause I'm right here
Standing right here
Standing right here
Standing
if you want it come and get it I'm right here
I'll be right here
I'll be right here
I'll be right
and I'm not going nowhere, I'm am
