Biography:

SOUZZA was born Julieta Souza to Brazilian-Americans, Andre and Elzira Souza on June 19th, 1992. As a child, she enjoyed an upper middle class life in a quiet LA suburb, which celebrated a diverse population. This gave her exposure to several different cultures, especially her own Brazilian heritage. In school, she shadowed the popular crowd, being one step beneath them at all times. She spent her Junior year of high school as an exchange student in Sao Paulo, where she fell in love with the city. Since then, she has acquired dual citizenship in both the United States and Brazil.
She was always current with the biggest pop stars in high school, but she learned to slow down after being exposed to traditional artists such as Fela Kuti,who she cites as an influence for some of her more ethnic songs. Upon returning to America, she experienced a creative spring. She began writing extensively and uploading her music to the internet. After being noticed by a credible Los Angeles culture blog, she began to pick up steam with the trendy residents of LA. She now looks to cast herself out to the rest of the nation.

She now spends her summers in Brazil and the rest of the year in the United States. She has been recording music off and on in both countries. Her debut single, "Walk Off The Earth", debuts November 11th, 2015 globally.
