She comes to deliver us one of the best Christmas ballads of the year. Written and Composed by Medina and legendary producer Rick Rubin. Titled "Santa Come and Set Me Free". The track's production mainly consists guitar, piano & drums. Giving it a more natural feeling like most traditional Christmas songs. But unlike most traditional Christmas songs. "Santa Come and Set Me Free" tells about a very depressing Christmas with two lovers who lost every inch of lust and passion towards each other. Leave it to Medina to write a depressing Christmas song, but yet again her "Break-Up" era hasn't ended until we hear the content on her next album in 2016. So if you're single this Christmas or just got out of a shady relationship, this is the song for you. BACKGROUND: After finishing her responsibility with the reality TV show "Celebrity Big Brother" Medina flew back to her home country Denmark. She began showing interest on recording a Holiday Album in late August and began small sessions in her home studio located in the capital Copenhagen after leaving Big Brother. She recorded four songs to present to the label so they can back her Christmas release and after promising outcomes they accepted and allowed her to continue the production of the album. Shortly after Medina got very ill and all production of the album was put at a complete stop. Medina was very ill through late October and November. She never accumulated the strength to re-start the recording sessions due to her health. Her label in mid November agreed to release a Christmas EP of the four songs she originally recorded and picked the official radio single. Medina's health has gotten better in December and she expressed that she might do some promotion for the EP soon. Ugh, I frickin' love Christmas, though this isn't so cheery? Yet I still like it?! What are you doing to me, woman?!?!? I guess I'm a fan of the bold move you made. Holiday music is usually very cliched with the obvious formula and winter/Christmas references so to put a different spin on it lyrically and sonically was a very daring but wise choice. Good job on the song, Medina!

Still the song. I like it is isn't a typical normal present under the christmas tree. Cause I know a lot of people think hoildays is a joyful thing. Really great work with this song, the lyrics are simple and effective which is what they should be, wonderful!

I'm actually glad to see Medina releasing music even if it's Christmas. These lyrics are very good and like everyone else says, it's a change from the usual type of Christmas songs that come out.
