The Bend It Like Beckham World Tour is the first concert tour by the South Korean girl group Mi•Mi. Announced officially in July 2015 with a video full of clips from practices and previous performances that went viral, now on YouTube with 32 million views, but in December 2015 all dates were announced, the tour containing 3 legs and 144 shows running through 1 year and 5 months. It will begin in Seoul, South Korea on January 11, 2016, and is planned to end in Seoul, South Korea on June 16, 2017. It's title is a reference to the single Kick It from the girls' 2nd studio album, He Say She Say.
The tour features multiple themes throughout the three legs, it's title hinting at the theme of maturity and coming of age, where their styles and attitudes switch from innocent to sexy to lost to ambition and weariness. The setlist of the first leg contains every song in Mi•Mi's discography to date. During the second leg, it is expected after the release of the girls' 2rd studio album that certain songs will be shortened and relevant tracks from their 3rd attempt will be added. It is unknown whether or not the setlist will change during the third leg.
Following the announcement of the tour, all the tickets were made available. It is expected for there to be at least 1 live broadcast, along with several performances to be released online and there are several rumors buzzing around the possibility of a movie deal.
The huge world tour is noted as an ambitious attempt for the girls, many critics and the like being stoked to see what the girls could bring to arenas. Due to earlier unspecified complications, Mi•Mi have never been on an official tour, let alone world tour before. However they have had many televised, festival and non-tour related performances. From the scattered live events the group is always praised for their vocals, choreography and crazy energy. With the announcement comes the fulfillment of the anticipation from fans to finally be able to see their favorite artists live on a more intimate stage.
