Generation Freakshow are a hard rock band from Queensland, Australia.
They're already making waves locally in Australia and New Zealand.
"There's not many people doing what we do in Australia anymore" says lead guitarist Zed Dee of the band's new-found local success. "We actually started out as a sort of acoustic rock duo, but I think people thought of us like Tenacious D or some shit and it was all a bit of a joke to them. I think they take us more seriously now..."
Indeed, it hasn't been easy, and the Australian music scene is a cruel beast, but the band are looking forward to releasing their first single very soon with plans for tours outside of Australia/New Zealand to follow.
"I don't think that we'll last that long though. You know, our lead singer, he's got a few problems. The bottle. You know." remarks Zed Dee. We can't tell if he's being serious or not, but, God-willing they'll go the distance. We've seen their live show. Generation Freakshow are a force to be reckoned with. Watch out - they could be the next big thing to come out of the continent.
