William Phoenix Alexander Lutz (born July 23, 1998) is an American actor, musician and writer. Born to a French father Phillipe and an American mother, Felicity, he speaks both languages although considers himself very much American, he spent the majority of his first four years of his life growing up in France but has lived permanently in the United States since the age of five. He has no brothers and sisters and has described himself as rather solitary, often preferring animals to people. He states that he has a free-willed spirit and claims that growing up with hippie parents has influenced a lot of his beliefs. As a child he had a bad speech impediment which he says was the catalyst for a lot of years of epically dark loneliness but he overcame the impediment with the help of singing classes.

As an actor his first role came as Dylan in the 2010 apocalyptic TV drama “Long Live the Andersons” at the age of 12, the show ran for two seasons on The CW network before being cancelled. He stared in supporting roles in a couple of movies, the 2012 family movie “High School Hero” and the 2014 anti-superhero film “Injustice: Kings of Chaos”. His biggest role to date was as the lead character Max Greenberg in the 2015 independent drama film “Happy, Happy, Smiley, Smiley”. That role saw the young actor gain high praise from the industry, but he then stepped back from acting in order to finish up high school, something that he has now done.

Alongside those acting roles, he has recorded songs with his band, “FAIR-WEATHER FRIENDS”, an indie trio with punk rock roots, they have recorded two albums independently and played a handful of gigs throughout California, but have never toured extensively. It’s said that “FAIR-WEATHER FRIENDS” is a labour of love and will always be something that he’ll go back to privately and has often stated that he doesn’t want them to ever materialize into anything bigger than a garage band that writes and plays music out of love for music. As well as his band, he has also recorded two songs for movies, one being “Archaic Souls” for his 2015 feature film and “In Hate and Love” for his 2014 film “Injustice”.

He has stated that his focus will be performing, whether that is as an actor or singer/musician and stated that once he finishes high school he plans on putting himself out there once more.
