"Do You?" is an official single release by R&B songstress Cassie Valentine and will be released on September 19th, 2016 through FREEDOM records as an official single by Valentine off of her hit album, Matrimony. Matrimony has already been certified in numerous countries and reached the number one position on the album charts. The album has also gone on to solidify Cassie yet again as one of the sole mainstay's of R&B and soul music significantly in a very hyper-pop music industry. Following the releases of the party infused jam "Hurt" which featured Drew Westbrook that #2 on the charts and stayed atop urban airplay for three weeks; the release of hot promotional single "Neck Kisses" and her most recent single "Matrimony" featuring Isaac Lovelock, Cassie now looks to focus solely on herself as a vocalist in this soulful jam that was chosen as the next single off of Matrimony. "Do You?" despite being apart of the deluxe edition version of the album was a big time favorite off of record and so was chosen to be the next single impacted on radio and digital retailers as one of the last singles from Matrimony.
The single, which was produced by Cassie oft-producer Kuk Harrell is a vulnerable, yet sensual doo wop jam that can come across both soft, yet striking due to Cassie's wondrous vocal performance and retro backing vocals that gives the record an instant "throwback" sound, feel and style. Cassie offers heart wrenching falsetto's and commanding belts to tell a story of an relationship that has ended, but post-relationship she seems to ask this individual do they think about the mental and emotional pain they've inflicted on her now that she is long gone from the toxic love. There's deep, soulful sounds throughout the entirety of the song that sees Cassie shine once again as a vocalist as she continues to make her way back onto the charts after a hugely successful album release.
