UserPostedImage
EP Title: Uncover
Release Date: January 16th, 3016
Format: Digital Download
Label: Independent
Recorded: 2016
Genre: R&B, Neo-Soul, Soul, Alternative R&B, Dancehall
Producers: Cory Dionne, Noah "40" Shebib, Happy Perez, Nineteen85, Noël Cadastre

UNCOVER is the official debut EP by American musician, Cory Dionne. The EP will be available for download and streaming on January 16th, 2017 for 2.99 and will be released independently with distribution from The Underground. The EP is the debut release by R&B singer Cory Dionne and will serve as his debut work as he makes way into an industry with such a void in R&B music and acts. The E.P was recorded in 2016 in Los Angeles, California after inking an independent distribution deal, Cory used his own earned money to record this first EP. The E.P features production from himself, Noah "40" Shebib, Happy Perez, Nineteen85, and Noël Cadastre. Aside from that, the E.P, the E.P runs for approximately 28 minutes. With seven tracks, Cory wanted to use the EP as a platform for people to get to be introduced to him, his sound and musicality not to mention his versatility as an artist. The EP was finalized in December 2016 and premiered on January 16th, 2017.

For those who don't know Cory Dionne, the 23 year old has been trying to achieve a music career since 2012. Cory was born in raised in the rough neighborhood of Oakland City in Atlanta, Georgia. In a rather impoverished upbringing, Cory Dionne didn't have the easiest upbringing but found that he was rather gifted from a young age in music and found that music and family were the real highlights of his childhood. Often being labeled the "weird" one by his peers, and a shy heartthrob by the ladies, for many years Cory hid his secret talent in singing and drifted through his early years and early teen years getting into trouble with law despite being very intelligent and talented. After being kicked out by his mother and moving in with his aunt, Dionne used this opportunity to get his act together and focus. After graduating a performance arts high-school and the first two years of college, Cory became a music business intern after seeing an ad on a prestigious music website. Here, Cory was blessed with having his foot in the door of music and easily learned the ropes of the music industry and even began networking to get his name around.

In 2015, Cory Dionne found himself lending background vocals for a wide range of artists. Most notably he was noted on Cassie Valentine's "Matrimony" album credits, lending backing vocals on the tracks "Tornado", "Tease", and "Butterflies". Despite just being a background singer, Cory Dionne had become quite the name behind the shadows and even earned himself some industry colleagues along the way. In 2016, Cory Dionne lended backing vocals on Miami's "Highlight" single. Following his backing vocals, Cory was contacted by DJ Cloud to lend vocals to his soundcloud track after running into the DJ at the studio. This was the first time Dionne has been featured as the lead vocal on a song, although uncredited. As he continued to lend his crisp, soulful vocals on numerous tracks, Cory was quietly working on "Uncover" to introduce himself to the industry.

With seven tracks on "Uncover", the E.P offers a mixture of R&B, Neo-Soul, Soul, Alternative R&B, and Dancehall and also features the acoustic version of "Power". Subjects include Love, Heartbreak, Self Seeking, Overcome, among others as Cory sets the record straight on personal accounts of Love, Sex, and Betrayal. Here is, "Uncover".

TRACK ONE - "DANGEROUS WORD"

UserPostedImage
Title: Dangerous Words
Length:4:00
Genre: R&B
Writers: Cory Dionne, Cody Morrisette, Mark Whiler, Brené Brown
Producers: Cory Dionne, Noël Cadastre

Dangerous Word is the first track that appears on Cory Dionne's debut EP "Uncover". The record is the perfect opening track for an E.P as Cory is introduced to the public as a leading vocalist with this eerie, R&B number. The record starts off with Cory reciting a gut-wrenching poetry number by Brené Brown that sets the tone for the dangerous love that the song explores. Soon after, Cory's vocals takes over with his emotive vocals that project not only love but pain. Dionne warns himself that love is dangerous and that he is in fact, afraid to express his love the way he needs to with the fear of falling in love because it's dangerous territory. Despite being afraid, the catalyst in the record has a lot of love to offer, but their fear of rejection and love just continues to hold them back. His vocals sweep over sultry percussion that lets up with wonderous snapping beats, allowing Cory’s gentle vocals to not be overpowered and set center stage for this opening record. The record was written by Cory Dionne, Cody Morrisette, Mark Whiler, and the original poem writer, Brené Brown. The record was produced by Cory Dionne, Noël Cadastre and was one of the final records recorded for the E.P but serves as the E.P opener as Cory uses to connect with his listeners. With this introduction, it's just the start of "Uncover"

[Spoken]
"Owning our story can be hard but not nearly as difficult as spending
our lives running from it. Embracing our vulnerabilities is risky but
not nearly as dangerous as giving up on love and belonging and joy—
the experiences that make us the most vulnerable. Only when we are brave
enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light."

We are living in dangerous times
Fear around every corner
In this world, the media controls us
What do people think? What do I look like?
Oooh ooh ooh
Oooh ooh ooh

How long will it be till everything works out?
Too many questions without answers
Oooh ooh ooh, not ready
Oooh ooh ooh, not ready
The things we do everyday
We don’t realize the patterns

If only my silent mind was willing to speak
If only my stubborn lips would stop to think
I’m stuck in this world, with you on my mind
Have I told you that love is a dangerous word?
Oooh ooh ooh, you ready
Oooh ooh ooh, so ready
I’m stuck in this world, with you on my mind
Have I told you that love is a dangerous word?
Oooh ooh ooh
Oooh ooh ooh

The evidence is clear, the facts all add up
I may be in love, it’s hard for me to say
But when I woke up this morning
All I could think about was you
Oooh ooh ooh, not ready
Oooh ooh ooh, not ready

If I am in love, what would you say?
If it’s not just a dream, what could you say?
If love is in my heart and I’m afraid to say it
What should I do?
Oooh ooh ooh, you ready?
Oooh ooh ooh, you ready?

If only my silent mind was willing to speak
If only my stubborn lips would stop to think
I’m stuck in this world, with you on my mind
Have I told you that love is a dangerous word?
Oooh ooh ooh, you ready
Oooh ooh ooh, so ready
I’m stuck in this world, with you on my mind
Have I told you that love is a dangerous word?
Oooh ooh ooh
Oooh ooh ooh

This is not a game, my heart is on the line
I can only hope to keep what’s left of my mind
You are perfect, it’s hard for me to accept

Oooh ooh ooh, Oooh ooh ooh
Oooh ooh ooh, Oooh ooh ooh

If only you could know
If only I could show you
My hearts on fire
It’s burning with desire

I would tell you but I have fears
Rejection and terrible tears
My love is a river, it flows in one direction
I wish it was returned

If only my silent mind was willing to speak
If only my stubborn lips would stop to think
I’m stuck in this world, with you on my mind
Have I told you that love is a dangerous word?
Oooh ooh ooh, you ready
Oooh ooh ooh, so ready
I’m stuck in this world, with you on my mind
Have I told you that love is a dangerous word?
Oooh ooh ooh
Oooh ooh ooh

My silent mind won’t think
My stubborn lips can’t speak
You’re always on my mind
Have I told you that love is a dangerous word

If only my silent mind was willing to speak
If only my stubborn lips would stop to think
I’m stuck in this world, with you on my mind
Have I told you that love is a dangerous word?
Oooh ooh ooh, you ready
Oooh ooh ooh, so ready
I’m stuck in this world, with you on my mind
Have I told you that love is a dangerous word?
Oooh ooh ooh
Oooh ooh ooh

TRACK TWO - "Talk About"

UserPostedImage
Title: Talk About
Length: 3:45
Genre: R&B
Writers: Cory Dionne, Kenny Max
Producers: Cory Dionne, Happy Perez

Talk About is the second track that appears on Cory Dionne's debut EP "Uncover". The record follows the EP opener "Dangerous Words". On the second track of "Uncover", Cory Dionne sings over a guitar driven backing beat, aided with slow and calm synths that appear throughout the track. This is not the typical R&B record, and offers more of an alternative R&B vibe that is very apparent from the very start. The record has this softness about it throughout, as Cory's falsetto stands out throughout the track as he sings about a rather vulnerable subject. The song is about a troubled relationship where both people in the relationship obviously had many differences, and in the end after they've broken apart, they still seem to have so much to talk about. The relate-able subject is apparent throughout the song, as Cory sings about flaws that they both have and how love and lust hurts so much. Cory Dionne has very emotive vocals, so singing these types of songs really can connect with listeners alike. Production wise, the record doesn't take leaps and bounds and stays relaxed with guitar chords in the background and alternative like composition, but Cory really takes center stage vocally as he clearly sings the lyrics out and even leaves us with vocal runs at the end of the record.

Do you wanna talk about trust?
Never meant to hurt so damn much...
Do you wanna talk about trust?
Never meant to hurt so damn much...
So much sh*t to talk about

And its not all that hard
To make decisions at the start
If It was up to you to see this through
We would have never gotten far

And I'm not the only one to
Slide under the truth
We could laugh it off and be blind
To everything you do

(You can't change who I will be in the end)
(I'm never gunna be him...)

Was never there to be just a friend
And your never gonna need this again
Never planned to see to the end
I'm never gonna be there

So you wanna talk about lust?
Tell me how it hurt soo much...
Do you wanna talk about trust?
Did you mean to hurt me so much?

So you wanna talk about lust?
Tell me how it hurt soo much...
Do you wanna talk about trust?
Never meant to hurt so damn much...

So much sh*t to talk about, talk about
So much sh*t to talk about, talk about
So much sh*t to talk about, talk about

Your silky skin
Couldn't create a better sin
If I was lost and needed focus
Never had to try too hard to win

And I know that I was hollow
You just couldn't compete with it
But I could never read your surface
From your fake lil' grins

(You can't change who I will be in the end)
(I'm never gunna be him...)

Was never there to be just a friend
And your never gunna need this again
Never planned to see to the end
I'm never gonna be there

So you wanna talk about lust?
Tell me how it hurt soo much...
Do you wanna talk about trust?
Did you mean to hurt me so much?

So you wanna talk about lust?
Tell me how it hurt soo much...
Do you wanna talk about trust?
Never meant to hurt so damn much...

So much sh*t to talk about, talk about
So much sh*t to talk about, talk about
So much sh*t to talk about, talk about

All these shallow feelings
Of stars and pretty shit
If I shot and you remembered
Just the way it was happening

If you fall and lose this game
That you grind out to the end
Is the attention that you gathered
Worth everything you lost again?

No never there to be just a friend
and your never gonna need this again
Never planned to see to the end
I'm never gunna be there

So you wanna talk about lust?
Tell me how it hurt soo much...
Do you wanna talk about trust?
Did you mean to hurt me so much?

So you wanna talk about lust?
Tell me how it hurt soo much...
Do you wanna talk about trust?
Never meant to hurt so damn much...

TRACK THREE - "Private Show"

UserPostedImage
Title: Private Show
Length: 3:38
Genre: R&B
Writers: Cory Dionne, Tony Cooper
Producers: Nineteen85

Private Show is the third track from the Uncover E.P and was produced by Nineteen85 and written by Cory Dionne and Tony Cooper. "Private Show" follows the vulnerable "Talk About" and offers a sultry R&B number that sees a man coming back in contact with his past lover who happens to be a private dancer. In his mind, he wants a private "show" with her to connect with her once more. The record is very sensual and gives listeners a chance to hear Cory's sensual vocals. Throughout the record Cory sings in his higher register, that goes perfect with the slow, sexy vibe of the record. The beats pick up considerably for the chorus and Cory shines vocally as he she sings about his sexy dancer who happens to be his past lover and how much he wants that private show. The production is minimal and so makes it easier for listeners to really absorb the vocal delivery and lyrical content of the record.

Let me tell you again,
Baby please don't stop
We can take it, if you want
From the top
No lies, no hate
No hurtin' us this time
I promise this if I see you for
One more night

Don't say it again
Don't say it can't be
Hey I just got down
So come hang wit' me
I been thinkin' about how I loved you since
God knows when
And I'd like to say I would
Do it again

Well the sun's gone down and the heat's turnin' up
I see you're one of the pretty women dressin' up for the private show
And I think you know it, And I think you know it's right
We can make it if you give me one tonight
We can make it if you give me one tonight
I see you're one of the pretty women dressin' up for the private show
We can make it if you give me one tonight
We can make it if you give me one tonight
Take my hand and my heart, you can borrow
Just for the private show

Spilling my vowels white towels in the air
Tonights a chance you wouldn't dare
Give into temptation lets run to tomorrow
Take my hand and my heart, you can borrow
Just for the private show

Babe I told you once
Yeah I told you twice
To love you, gotta learn to sacrifice
Well I see your heart and I know that
It's untrue
When you say another man's got a
Hold of you

Well the sun's gone down and the heat's turnin' up
I see you're one of the pretty women dressin' up for the private show
And I think you know it, And I think you know it's right
We can make it if you give me one tonight
We can make it if you give me one tonight
I see you're one of the pretty women dressin' up for the private show
We can make it if you give me one tonight
We can make it if you give me one tonight
Take my hand and my heart, you can borrow
Just for the private show

Spilling my vowels white towels in the air
Tonights a chance you wouldn't dare
Give into temptation lets run to tomorrow
Take my hand and my heart, you can borrow it
Just for the private show

Oh the sun can't shine every day
And the stars will reveal what you say
Of love, of hate, of where this all began
So let me in, oh let me in

TRACK FOUR - "Broken Hearts"

UserPostedImage
Title: Broken Hearts
Length: 3:23
Genre: R&B, Dancehall
Writers: Cory Dionne, Kenny Max, Derrick Rox
Producers: Nineteen85, Noah "40" Shebib

Broken Hearts is the fourth track from the Uncover E.P and was produced by Nineteen85 and Noah "40" Shebib and written by Cory Dionne, Kenny Max, Derrick Rox. "Broken Hearts" is an uptempo R&B record with strong Dancehall influences that has Cory Dionne singing about a man that is a womanizer and despite knowing that he's wrong about it, he still continues to build love ones up, just to break them down. This song on the EP, along with "Private Show" are the more risqué records that are apart of body of work Dionne has put out. Aside from that, "Broken Hearts" is infectiously catchy with it's minimal, yet bouncy dancehall driven backing beat and Dionne singing with a carribean-tinged swagger. Over the beats, Cory sings as if he's talking to one of his love victims, singing about them being unaware of his intentions but recounting their heart-ache after he's done with them. This record was one of the earlier records recorded by Cory for the E.P.

Buried bones marked with the cuts and bruise
Your smile slows and I'm ready to move
When we go down I'll say we failed from the start
And every day I'll swear we were falling apart

Little did you know, what I was about to do (To you)
Nothing good, nothing good (For you)
Buildin' you, just to play (Wit' you)
Nothing good, nothing good (For you)
Buildin' you, just to play (Wit' you)

And your lips (Are red...)
From the pain... (You bled...)
I'm a bad, bad man, shoulda treat chu' right

I've broken hearts, always played from the start
When you were close I always hid my dark
I took you home just to get you out them clothes
Got a nice site of the pum pum, I swear time froze

Little did you know, what I was about to do (To you)
Nothing good, nothing good (For you)
Buildin' you, just to play (Wit' you)
Nothing good, nothing good (For you)
Buildin' you, just to play (Wit' you)

Broken down you fall straight for me
Sticky palms and bed stains, is what chu' got from me
Its kind cute to see you all torn apart
I never promised you anything from the start

And its all (A fee...)
Its the price... (To be...)
Never lonely, but the pain comes for free
(I know)
I'm a bad, bad man, shoulda treat chu' right

I've broken hearts, always played from the start
When you were close I always hid my dark
I took you home just to get you out them clothes
Got a nice site of the pum pum, I swear time froze

Little did you know, what I was about to do (To you)
Nothing good, nothing good (For you)
Buildin' you, just to play (Wit' you)
Nothing good, nothing good (For you)
Buildin' you, just to play (Wit' you)

And ain't hard... To see...
The first lie... The deceit...
But you wont... Your hearts fixed on me

Little did you know, what I was about to do (To you)
Nothing good, nothing good (For you)
Buildin' you, just to play (Wit' you)
Nothing good, nothing good (For you)
Buildin' you, just to play (Wit' you)
I've broken hearts, always played from the start
When you were close I always hid my dark
I took you home just to get you out them clothes
Got a nice site of the pum pum, I swear time froze

TRACK FIVE - "Trigger"

UserPostedImage
Title: Trigger
Length: 4:00
Genre: R&B/Soul
Writers: Cory Dionne, Anna Katahl
Producers: Noah "40" Shebib

Ooh, ooh,
Listen, listen, whoa, yeah, listen, ooh
Ooh, ooh,
Listen, listen, whoa, yeah, listen, ooh

On the inside
There's a crack in the glass
Everything is just a pass
There's no more desire
No more feeding the fire
(Just let it die)
What is it that I have done
I feel so burdened
(Weight of the world is a ton)

That look in your eye
You've got your gun
Pointed straight at my heart
Safety's off no more games
You've got the trigger finger
Put an end to this
I can't give this up
So use your trigger finger
Just put an end to all of this

Ooh, Ooh, are you gonna pull the trigger
Ooh, Ooh, are you gonna pull the trigger

Ooh, ooh,
Listen, listen, whoa, yeah, listen, ooh
Ooh, ooh,
Listen, listen, whoa, yeah, listen, ooh

You can't stand the way i am
I just stand in the way
You're rising to the top
And I'm stuck at the bottom
If you can't stand the way i am
You're going to use your trigger finger
So take yourself away from me
I'm just a book with no more pages
So do what you gotta do

That look in your eye
You've got your gun
Pointed straight at my heart
Safety's off no more games
You've got the trigger finger
Put an end to this
I can't give this up
So use your trigger finger
Just put an end to all of this

Ooh, Ooh, are you gonna pull the trigger
Ooh, Ooh, are you gonna pull the trigger

Ooh, ooh,
Listen, listen, whoa, yeah, listen, ooh
Ooh, ooh,
Listen, listen, whoa, yeah, listen, ooh

All of this
This is going no where
You know I wanna go everywhere
(Trade in my soul)
For just a little control
But you're in control
Because you have the trigger finger
I know i can't depend anymore
And my heart bleeds from the core

That look in your eye
You've got your gun
Pointed straight at my heart
Safety's off no more games
You've got the trigger finger
Put an end to this
I can't give this up
So use your trigger finger
Just put an end to all of this

Ooh, Ooh, are you gonna pull the trigger
Ooh, Ooh, are you gonna pull the trigger

Ooh, ooh,
Listen, listen, whoa, yeah, listen, ooh
Ooh, ooh,
Listen, listen, whoa, yeah, listen, ooh

You've used your trigger finger
With a gun pointed to my heart
Now I'm breaking all apart
But now it all seems so clear
You're following your destiny
Putting an end to all of this misery
You always had the trigger finger
And I never could walk away
So you used your trigger finger

Ooh, Ooh, are you gonna pull the trigger
Ooh, Ooh, are you gonna pull the trigger
Ooh, Ooh, are you gonna pull the trigger
Ooh, Ooh, are you gonna pull the trigger

TRACK 6 - "Commitment"

UserPostedImage
Title: Commitment
Length: 4:00
Genre: R&B, Soul, Downtempo
Writers: Cory Dionne
Producers: Happy Perez

I should've known what I was into
I wish that I would've been honest with you
And now I'm afraid I just threw away
Everything that could pass as an escape
And maybe I took it too fast

Without my heart it won't last
So we're just the same as my past
I wish I never had asked
Because your words hit home tonight
It's not you I just held on too tight
I just need a day to see the light
So I can try to make it right

And I know honesty's what your into
And I know it's late but here's the truth just for you

And I should've admitted
When I said that I didn't
You should know what this isn't
This is far from commitment
No this is simply a spark fire
Half heart half liar
It's clear you held on tighter
When I said that I didn't
You should know what this isn't

I would never admit it
But I don't do commitment
At first you seemed like a good fit
But I couldn't get into it
So I pulled all those same lines

To make you feel like it's just right
But it's opposite in my mind
As I blame it on wrong time
And yeah I know I got some issues too
But I hope I didn't hurt you
Your all I want but it's too soon
I'll get back to you when I find the truth

And I know honesty's what your into
I'll write it down so it sticks with you
Even though it's falling on deaf ears
I'll remember you through the years

And I should've admitted
When I said that I didn't
You should know what this isn't
This is far from commitment
No this is simply a spark fire
Half heart half liar
It's clear you held on tighter
When I said that I didn't
You should know what this isn't

TRACK Seven - "Power" [Alternate Version]

UserPostedImage
Title: Power
Length: 3:23
Genre: R&B, Soul
Writers: Cory Dionne, Alex Van Roy, Evan Chambers
Producers: Noël Cadastre

Power is the final track that appears on Cory Dionne's seven track introduction E.P "Uncover". This version of "Power" is quite different from it's dance mix that was re-mastered by dance producer DJ Cloud and uploaded onto soundcloud. However, Dionne decided to include the original version of this song on the E.P as it fit his body of work for the E.P slightly better and as a way to show the public his original version of the song. Unlike the dance mix, this alternative original version of Power features the same haunting vocal performance by Cory but there's an urban backing beat and an eerie feeling throughout the verses of the record until the song breaks into it's R&B led production with Cory's angelic vocals that are extremely vulnerable but leaves the listener feeling rather uplifted and inspired. The record, written by Cory Dionne, Alex Van Roy, and Evan Chambers and produced by Noël Cadastre reminds it's listeners to remain strong and find that inner power whenever you feel down and out, and to always remember that there's someone in the world who cares about you. The song is both haunting and dramatic positive, with Dionne's memorable vocals, Power leaves us with a big ending and quite the way to close out a 7 track E.P.

We're standing at the edge, holding each others hand
It's time for the next step, you better take a deep breath
We repeat the old history, it's time for you to go
The crowd makes no sound, it's the silence that's so loud

If the thoughts in your head make you so sad
And you're tired and despaired
You know what to do...
Find the fire in your soul
Set your body alight
When the storm puts you high, know how to fly
Cause someone out there still cares about you

I'm here for you, in the darkness of the hour
(You just gotta find the power)
I'm here for you, yeah you lay broken like a flower
(You just gotta find the power)
I'm here for you, I'm here for you, I'm here for you
Every minute, every hour, you just gotta find the power

We better lock the doors and forget about it all
(Can't stand to see the faces)
You turned the mirrors around,
(Way too scared of what you'll see)
You once helped me so much
I wish I could give back enough
The ground is still shaking
(It's not your time to take it)

If the thoughts in your head make you so sad
And you're tired and despaired
You know what to do...
Find the fire in your soul
Set your body alight
When the storm puts you high, you'll know how to fly
Cause someone out there still cares about you

I'm here for you, in the darkness of the hour
(You just gotta find the power)
I'm here for you, yeah you lay broken like a flower
(You just gotta find the power)
I'm here for you, I'm here for you, I'm here for you
Every minute, every hour, you just gotta find the power

You call yourself a maniac while screaming my name
Your wounds have been bleeding and your soul is laid
You're changing the story so afraid, so afraid
That you might look back at the old page
No, no, no gotta listen to what I say

If the thoughts in your head make you so sad
And you're tired and despaired
You know what to do...
Find the fire in your soul
Set your body alight
When the storm puts you high, know how to fly
Cause someone out there still cares about you

I'm here for you, in the darkness of the hour
(You just gotta find the power)
I'm here for you, yeah you lay broken like a flower
(You just gotta find the power)
I'm here for you, I'm here for you, I'm here for you
Every minute, every hour, you just gotta find the power

Always thinking we could have it all but here we are walking against walls
but don't you know it's okay it's okay
Take my words and burn them into your brain
Because someone out there still cares about you
Yes I do,Yes I do, Yes I do

I'm here for you, in the darkness of the hour
(You just gotta find the power)
I'm here for you, yeah you lay broken like a flower
(You just gotta find the power)
I'm here for you, I'm here for you, I'm here for you
Every minute, every hour, you just gotta find the power
I'm here for you, in the darkness of the hour
(You just gotta find the power)
I'm here for you, yeah you lay broken like a flower
(You just gotta find the power)
I'm here for you, I'm here for you, I'm here for you
Every minute, every hour, you just gotta find the power

Dustyn: I have no idea who you are or where you came from but THANK YOU! Thank you for blessing me with this unexpected little treat hehe. Your voice is so silky smooth and your lyricism is just...😍 There aren't many male R&B singers around right now and a lot of the ones that are still in the business tend to crossover into pop and other genres. I love that you're filling this void and I hope to hear a lot more from you throughout 2017! My favourite track is Private Show! hehe

ooc: Excellent work here and a nice, unexpected surprise release. Looking forward to seeing the character grow and progress throughout the course of the year :)

Tyler: personally my favorite song is "Talk about" I like the beat and the lyrics to it for it to be smooth while talking about stuff like that. I like it I like it a lot. There were some misses for me that I wasn't really feeling but you had some good works in there too, Two "Talk About", "Broken hearts", "Trigger". That first was a little odd that I couldn't really get into it so remember that the first one kind of sets the tone for your project so try to start it off with some fire, but it was good.

OOC: So good to see a new character debut and him be R&B. You slaughtered "Talk About" in the lyrics department, goes well with the soundalike. Keep promoting him.

Title: Talk About
Release Date:
Label:Dahlhouse Entertainment
Length: 3:45
Genre: R&B
Writers: Cory Dionne, Kenny Max
Producers: Cory Dionne, Happy Perez

Cory Dionne has seemingly created a large buzz for himself within the industry for over past few months. Although the 23 year old musician has been in the business for well over two year providing backing vocals for numerous singers on their albums and singles (most notably on Cassie Valentine's "Matrimony" album) Dionne didn't really started making a buzz until late 2016. After providing strong vocals on a remix of his original EP track "Power" for DJ Cloud's mix on sound cloud, numerous netizens began wondering who this great un-credited vocalist was. It didn't take long before Cory arrived in full force, announcing his very first independent EP entitled "Uncover", which boasts 7 soulful tracks that introduced Dionne as the main artist that he has always been meant to be. The buzz grew seemingly overnight, with support from celebrity friends alike and the EP managed to reach the Top 5 on the Itunes R&B and Soul Charts. Within due time, Dionne was approached by DahlHouse entertainment and penned his first major label recording deal with the entertainment company. Now with the major label, Cory Dionne looks to really make an impact with his very first single and the first single from the EP. The public favorite, entitled "Talk About".

Talk About is Cory Dionne's debut single and the first single to come from Cory's debut EP "Uncover". This single comes after signing a recording contract with Dahlhouse Entertainment. The single was officially released with distribution from Dahlhouse on February 20th, 2017 as his first single. the second track that appears on Cory Dionne's debut EP "Uncover". On "Talk About" Cory Dionne sings over a guitar driven backing beat, aided with slow and calm synths that appear throughout the track.

(I'm never gonna be him...)

Was never there to be just a friend
And your never gonna need this again
Never planned to see to the end
I'm never gonna be there

So you wanna talk about lust?
Tell me how it hurt soo much...
Do you wanna talk about trust?
Did you mean to hurt me so much?

So you wanna talk about lust?
Tell me how it hurt soo much...
Do you wanna talk about trust?
Never meant to hurt so damn much...

So much sh*t to talk about, talk about
So much sh*t to talk about, talk about
So much sh*t to talk about, talk about

Your silky skin
Couldn't create a better sin
If I was lost and needed focus
Never had to try too hard to win

And I know that I was hollow
You just couldn't compete with it
But I could never read your surface
From your fake lil' grins

(You can't change who I will be in the end)

All these shallow feelings
Of stars and pretty shit
If I shot and you remembered
Just the way it was happening

If you fall and lose this game
That you grind out to the end
Is the attention that you gathered
Worth everything you lost again?

No never there to be just a friend
and your never gonna need this again
Never planned to see to the end
I'm never gonna be there

So you wanna talk about lust?
Tell me how it hurt soo much...
Do you wanna talk about trust?
Did you mean to hurt me so much?

So you wanna talk about lust?
Tell me how it hurt soo much...
Do you wanna talk about trust?
Never meant to hurt so damn much...
