YoungHood promised earlier this week that he was going to drop new music and he made good on his promise cause at 4:20 eastern time he dropped his newest single that he titled nothing new. What started off as a just one long track with no hooks became a shot at hip-hop itself and much like how he came into the game he took on sneak shots at a lot of rappers in the game before he turned his attention to the man himself Drew Westbrook. In the beginning, he talked about how everyone was putting out songs now when before only Kidd Amaze was putting out rap albums and songs that were worth anything in his eyes. He claims that he got in this position cause he was still putting out songs and mixtape and this doing his thing why is it now people want to hop in when it is convenient for them to look better. it then goes on to him saying I did what I had to do to make it and now I have a record deal, now I have money, now I have done projects I'm ready and people need to respect my grind cause I don't give a fuck about how you feel about me as person but respect what it took to get here. After he said I'm not a gangsta I'm a nigga it just jabs at Drew Westbrook. Drew and Young have never really seen eye to eye from the beginning of Young's career. In a sense, this is "Nothing New" for them but young puts a lot out there about his relationship with the talented songwriter and rapper. Talks about how Drew is avoiding him, they had a chance to clear the air and end whatever the problems they had. Drew jumped from women to women before his relationship with Deneil, and how it will only take two words for Young to come after Drew. He even claims that drew was always a homosexual and that he was faking being straight. Claiming that he doesn't want to hear Drew rap but just have a nice relationship with Deneil and leave his name out of things.
