Nadia Berry returns with her first brand new solo single since her last release, "Back To Me" which was released about a year ago. Prior to that, Berry had released smash hit "Circles" in November of 2014, rejoined GirlSpice for their tenth studio album and world-wide tour in 2015 and went on to release her fourth and most successful fragrance to date "Sweet Spot", that same year. Following that, Nadia announced her "Fearless" Vegas Residency in 2016 that kicked off in April of that year at The 'AXIS'. The residency proved to be a huge success and all of the dates were sold out in a short amount of time as fans and tourists alike, rushed out to see the pop star in a rather intimate setting where Nadia Berry went through nearly half a decade of hits that made the breakout star of GirlSpice so highly sought after. A few months later Nadia released "Back To Me", a one off single that was promoted right in time for the start of Nadia's Vegas Residency. Still, there was no album announcement in sight.

After the release of Back To Me and first chain of dates of "Fearless" folded, Nadia settled down and broke away from the spotlight for the remainder of the 5 months in 2016. Many fans were worried about Berry's well being as a Residency has no traveling, but at the same time, show's are five days a week which could become strenuous and worried fans were afraid that Nadia was exhausted. Others have worried that Nadia stepped away to get away from the public eye due to the public breakup with longtime boyfriend Ryan Ross Hernandez that is still surrounded by unanswered questions. Furthermore, fans of Berry were afraid that Nadia was now retiring from the business as the pop star has had a long and lucrative career, maybe she wanted to settle down for good. The early months of 2017 came around and still there was no word on Nadia Berry's whereabouts and fans began to believe their speculation. However in April of 2017, on the one year anniversary of Nadia's Residency at The AXIS, the pop star made her way back to the spotlight to announce brand new dates to her critically acclaimed "Fearless" show that spans from April 24th, to June 10th. Nada also made way to social media to announce the news and that another surprise was on the way. It seems that that surprise on the way was new music!

"Don't Hold Your Breath" is the newest solo single by Nadia Berry and the first single from Berry since last years "Back To Me". The record is also set to appear on "The Collection", an upcoming greatest hits album that was hinted around by Nadia but never given an official release. Now in 2017, Nadia Berry has given the greenlight for the greatest hits collection's release that will include all of Nadia's hits over the years as well as Back To Me, Don't Hold Your Breath and there's word that there will be one more brand new song that will appear on the hits collection. The brand new single, Don't Hold Your Breath is reminiscent of Nadia's earlier works that made fans fall in love with Berry in the first place, which was a moving vocal performance paired with euphoric pop beats, and that's exactly what "Don't Hold Your Breath" offers. In a track that goes on for about three minutes and thirty seconds, is the perfect slice of modern pop that talks of someone coming into one with themselves and finding the confidence to up and leave an individual who takes advantage and constantly relies on them, and for that person to be on their own and really see how tough life could be without that person around. The lyrics create an aura that's impactful and relatable and could even get the talk going on whether or not this song is dedicated to someone. /Don’t hold your breath tonight Nadia sings in a powerful manner, and it's a relief to hear Nadia back in action and still giving it her all in a glamorous pop performance. Production wise, Don't Hold Your Breath can be considered pop ballad with offbeat minimalistic frills and more emphasis on the harmonies which gives the vocal performance more emphasis and Nadia offers a strong vocal performance with the minimal production and snapping beats. Don't Hold Your Breath is out April 14th, 2017 as the newest single from "The Collection" greatest hits album due out in May.
