Elyar has enjoyed chart success this year with the lead single from the album. "Super Power". Which reached the top 5 in the charts back at the beginning of the year. The new single "Gold Digger". Will be released on June 15th through Five Pesky Kids Records and will be distributed through all major media outlets and will be available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music on the same day.
"Gold Digger" was first revealed to the public in the form of a short snippet which Elyar performed at the Fan Choice Awards back in May, the performance got a lot of attention the performance of the snippet also got attention for who he claimed the song was about, Elyar wrote the song and the song is reportedly about his now ex girlfriend and the mother of his son Lexi Marie Taylor. Elyar confirmed that the song was written right after the break up of there relationship when he had mixed emotions and wrote the song without really thinking about how it would make her not only feel, but how she would be seen and how her public image would be affected by the song, Elyar has since gone on to say that the song now is just a song that guys will be able to relate to if they have ever been in this position
The song is produced by Max Martin who has reportedly worked quite a lot on Elyar's new album with him, Elyar got Max to produce this song because he knew that Max would be able to capture the song and vibe that he wanted to for with the song. The song has been labelled as a pop rap track due to the fact Elyar raps for the majority of the song but the song still has a pop sound which is why the song isn't categorised as a hip hop song. The song is also quite guitar driven and the guitar on the track was played by Elyar himself.
