Single: Sex on the Beach Artist: Misu Label: Dahlhouse Entertainment Release Date: June 23rd, 2017 Genre: K-Pop, Tropical House Written by: Mi Sun Kim Produced by: Flame 1&2, DrewWB Length: 3:17
Sex On The Beach is a song recorded by Korean singer Mi Sun Kim, better known as Misu of Mi•Mi. It serves as her second official single, released by Dahlhouse Entertainment on June 23rd, 2017, the same day as her official debut single Fade Away. Written solely by Mi Sun Kim, Sex On The Beach features production from Flame 1&2 and DrewWB. Not as vocally challenging as her debut single, Sex On The Beach is a midtempo K-Pop song with a huge Tropical House influence. Perfect for the summer in both theme and sound, the song's production consists of a piano riff with warbly synths stacked on top and a hard hitting beat, all of which help shape the melody.
Lyrically, Misu sings about falling for a taken man on a warm summer night. With a dismissive attitude, she talks her love interest out of his relationship in a sultry manner. Sex On The Beach acts as a double entendre, Misu's excuse for being so careless being that she's drunk and curious. "What if I told you/Some things don't need to be justified" Misu sings, encouraging her partner in crime to think less and "rush through the feeling".
Misu
I need a minute to cool down I need a minute to think Don't know if I need you to stop now Or if I need you to lose yourself in me It's stressing us both out You just need a reason why What if I told you Some things don't need to be justified
You're giving me bad looks, I hope you can take the heat What you had will shatter like glass but look, that's not my responsibility No turning back, let's take it too far You've chosen your poison, meet me behind the bar Ready or not, an end and a start Ready or not
My friends say I should leave you alone but I only ever listen to me The quickest way to forget somebody's waiting at home is to rush through the feeling My friends say I should leave you alone but it's so hard, can't you see? I've had a lot of glass and patron but I've never tried sex on the beach
I need a minute to lock my lips and open up to you Just a second, smile again and I'll know what to do Asking myself, "what the hell?", when I should be asking you I should be asking you...
I need a minute to rub you down Give it your best shot to wear me out All the people staring us down Let them learn something
You're giving me bad looks, I hope you can take the heat What you had will shatter like glass but look, that's not my responsibility No turning back, let's take it too far You've chosen your poison, meet me behind the bar Ready or not, an end and a start Ready or not

I need a minute to lock my lips and open up to you Just a second, sit back, I know just what to do Asking myself, "what the hell?", when I should be asking you I should be asking you... I should be asking you!
