Plans by Death Cab for Cutie has always been one of my favourite records, but upon a few relistens, I've realised that it really is best album [for me] that I have ever heard.

Have any of you guys heard it? Thoughts/opinions, favourite tracks or preferred Death Cab albums?

If you haven't checked them out, and are into alternative/indie, whatever you wanna call it - check 'em =D

Plans is by far the best album from Death Cab for Cutie, in my opinion its the best indie rock album. I Will Follow You into the Dark is probably one of the best songs I've ever heard, that and The Sound of Settling are my favorite songs from them.

^ I agree fully. It's not as complex as it sounds either - it's good fun to sit with an acoustic and fingerpick it too.

I used to LOVE indie. But i dont know.. just seems a little.. bland to me. Its sort of. I dunno. I like a bit of indie here and there, but i have no passion for it.

You and Pete elliot, you and Pete. :P

Anyway, We Have The Facts And We're Voting Yes and Transatlanticism take my two favourite Death Cab album spots.

Death Cab For Cutie is a good song by the 60s band The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band, it appeared in the Beatles movie Magical Mystery Tour.

I liked a couple of songs from that album from what I've heard. I really like "Cath" from their newest record though.

It is indeed.

But I really want to direct folk to listen to it, and other tunes by the Bonzos!

They had a really cool frontman in Viv Stanshall.

And Neil Innes who sings on that third video was one of The Rutles with Eric Idle, as well as working with Monty Python at various points, including writing the tunes for that wonderful film Monty Python & The Holy Grail. And incidentally, if you haven't seen The Rutles, I strongly recommend you go out of your way to do so.

That depends what you'd class as indie I guess. It's not like the uk 'indie' scene [skinny jeans, skinnier girlfriends, trilby hat and smoking something you probably shouldn't be] styled music.

i could start an argue about this... but i will not.
i like death cab, thought it's been a long time without listening to them. i remember i will follow you into the dark and soul meets body were two beautiful tracks from plans.
