http://www.therockstarga...ingle.asp?SingleID=87453The Bitch: Growing up I always loved to listen to Motown music. So I wrote this song as a tribute to that style and that era. I've always found it hard to differate between v and w sounds, so when I listened to Marvin Gaye I always thought he sang about being so drunk you can hear your favorite song through the grape wine instead of the grapevine. So that's what I wrote this song about. Robin wrote the B-side about internet spam.
Heard It through the Grape Wine(Lyrics by The Bitch)
Verse 1
I used to love those Motown songs
Coming from the Motor City
The lyrics were always so thoughtful
and the melodies were pretty
I'm not sure what's going on
but when I've had a glas or two I know where the song is coming from
Chorus
I heard it through the grape wine
Verse 2
The song doesn't have to play on the jukebox
It can be pretty much quiet
But as soon as those tambourines kick in
I wanna start a riot
Even when the record player ain't on
when I'm drunk I can tell where the song is coming from
Bridge
There's a fiddler in the celing
As I drink another cup
He sings about sexual healing
and I just gotta give it up
Internet Spam (lyrics by Robin Banks)
Verse 1
Now I'm on the web again
and they've got me in there
In an advert for pear and apple cider
The tide is all ebb again
Not sure if I care
but that web has dragged me in like a spider
I'm like those dudes in Easy Rider
Chorus
I'm reading internet spam
they're selling me bunch of ham
Enough to make Poo Peter sick
And how to enlarge my microscopic di-
fficult mind
Verse 2
Clicking on all these ads
It seems like kind of a curse
now that I've clicked them
I don't know why it turned out so bad
but I'm sure it could be worse
But the plot thickens
Like a book by Charles Dickens
