The IMA's will be taking place on July 12, 2020. Pre-how will start at 6:00pm US Eastern time and main show will start at 7:00pm US Eastern time. 2. You can start submitting your nominees on June 22, 2020 and will have til the end of June 25, 2020 11:59pm US Eastern time to submit them. 3. This years IMA's will be honoring the Late Bikki Hayes with the Bikz Lifetime Achievement Award; which in her honor will also be a new category going forward. 4. Round 1: Nominees are announced. 5. Round 2: Judges pick 1 winner from each category starting on July 1, 2020 and have til the end of July 7, 2020 11:59pm US Eastern time to submit their winner of choice. 6. This year the award show will be headlined by Ryan Ross Hernandez but we will need a total of 9 performers. Spots are very limited and already almost full. Please PM if you are interested in having your artist/band perform. 7. More acts to be announced next week :) 1. Sign ups to perform at the IMA's are open! Deadline to sign up is July 5, 2020 so I can form a timeline and develop the award show :) 2. There is a limit of 3 artists/acts you can sign up to perform at the IMA's. As of this moment I'm not setting a limit on the total performers needed overall. 3. Performances may consist of just pictures, videos, gifs, text or a combination of all. You can be as creative as you like or keep it simple with just pictures. Whatever is easy and fun for you. There are no requirements in that department. However, keep in mind that this is an award show, so feel free to go as grand as you like with the budget of your performance. The IMA's are paying for the fees ;) 4. Performance RP's are due by July 10, 2020. If you are not able to get the RP by that date it's fine but it's preferred to get it in by that date so I have an overall look and idea how the award show will look like. 5. If you are interested in being an award presenter, please let me know, Deadline to sign up is July 5, 2020. Also as a reminder, the deadline to submit your nominees is approaching, you have til tomorrow at 11:59pm US eastern time to submit them. So far only three seperate users including myself have submitted something. :( In order for me to move forward with the award show I do have to have at least 5 users/contenders in most of the categories. With that being said, at this year's ceremony we are introducing a new voting system that combines a total of points from both the general public and the judges panel. Once nominees are announced; the judges will have the opportunity to rate each nomination based on a point scale system ranging from 1-10, while the general public will have the opportunity to rate each nominee from a point scale system ranging from 1-5. I'll be using Survey monkey to monitor the votes coming in from both the general public and the judges so that they are accurately and fairly accounted for. If there is a tie of some sort; the judges will vote on the winner. General Public Voting: 1. A public link will be available for you to place your vote. You must register your TRSG forums username when voting in order for your vote to be counted for. 2. You may rate a nominee from the scale of 1-5 in each category. You must vote on all categories. Treat each vote as if you were an actual judge on a music award show. 3. Tactical votes will be deleted. (Voting 5 for your own act and then voting 1 for everyone else). 4. Votes with unfamiliar usernames or inactive usernames will be deleted. (For example: A made up username) 5. Voting should be based on one's personal opinion and reaching out to other members to pitch for a higher vote is not allowed. Judges Voting: 1. A private link will be shared with the judges to vote. You do not have to register a username and may vote discreetly. You will have to type in a password that I'm sending out via PM. 2. Your vote may hold double the weight as you are able to rate a nominee up to 10 points vs the standard 5 points the general public can vote. 3. There are no limitations on how to vote but vote fairly. Tactical voting is greatly discouraged and frowned upon. 4. For the integrity of the judges panel do not reveal that you are a judge to anyone. This limits strategic voting. ______________________________________________________________________________________ Here's an Example of how votes are counted: Category: Best Female Artist 3 Seperate Voters: Judge #1, Judge #2, Public Voter # 1 Jude #1 (Example of vote): Janet Jackson ~ 9 points / Out of 10 possible points Madonna ~ 4 points / Out of 10 possible points Mariah Carey ~ 10 points / Out of 10 possible points Whitney Houston ~ 6 points / Out of 10 possible points. Jude #2 (Example of vote): Janet Jackson ~ 2 point / Out of 10 Possible points Madonna ~ 10 points / Out of 10 Possible points Mariah Carey ~ 8 points / Out of 10 possible points Whitney Houston ~ 4 points / Out of 10 possible points. Public Voter #1 (Example of vote): Janet Jackson ~ 5 points / Out of 5 possible points Madonna ~ 3 points / Out of 5 possible points Mariah Carey ~ 5 points / Out of 5 possible points Whitney Houston ~ 3 points / Out of 5 possible points. I was trying to make it work but it just doesn't seem realistic at this point. A lot of work goes into making these but for some reason many of you chose not to participate and that's fine. I just don't feel it's reasonable to move forward if there's a lack of interest. To those who submitted a live performance RP in to me, I sincerely apologize for the sudden cancellation. Please use your awesome RP's for something else; I know there's another award show coming up so maybe hold your RP for that or whatever may be. Once again I sincerely apologize I know it's a lot of hard work. Thank you to those who did participate. I appreciate it!
