BACKGROUND

"Man of Your Dreams" is the first studio album by the American alternative rock music band 'Spoons' set to be released on January 1, 2021, through Studio 60 Records as part of a 2 album deal. While this is the band's debut record; this will mark Silver Spoon's 8th studio album overall. The album's lyrics were all solely written by Silver Spoons. The album's production was crafted by the likes of Shawn Everett, Daniel The Freenerd, and Silver Spoons respectively as the trio were enlisted as producers. The album's instrumentation was provided by Silver Spoons for various instruments including main vocals, Eric Wesley for keyboards/guitar/back-up vocals, Jonathan Wilson for bass guitar/samplers, Russell Davis for drums and back up vocals, Miguel Rodriguez bass guitar/back up vocals/electric guitar, and Jacob Mckinney for guitars/keyboards. The album also received assistance from other musicians and sound engineers.

The writing and recording session for the album took place during and after Silver Spoon's hospitalization and post-coma recovery. Due to this the sound and direction took a different turn from what was originally intended. Prior to suffering a tragic accident in August, Spoons was set to release "Easy Access" which was the original name of his 8th studio album. After 4 single releases; the album was scrapped all together despite all of the songs having commercial success. Originally, the album was supposed to dwell in the genres of R&B, Pop, and Soul but after the incident took place Spoons didn't connect with that sound anymore and wanted to bring on close friends to form a band with an entirely new sound. This began the formation of his band Spoons. During his recovery at the hospital; Spoons spent most of his time writing lyrics and coming up with melodies for the new album. While no other songwriter was involved; his bandmates as well as the likes of Daniel and Shawn pitched in from time to time to provide assistance with the production of the album. Due to the challenges of covid and Spoon's hospitalization, most of the sessions took place via facetime and in separate undisclosed recording studios and locations while most of the production and mixing took place in Rough House Records Miami, FL and Liverdish Studios Nashville, TN.

Once released from the hospital; Spoons began finalizing the tracklist and artwork for the album as well as rehearsing some of the tracks. Spoons and his bandmates decided to form an exclusive band name as "Spoons" as part of the singer's re-branding. Daniel The Freenerd (Silver Spoon's manager) was also heavily involved to capture the new sound and art direction of the album. Spoons were inspired by the colors of fall to capture some of the imagery of the album, while Daniel was more inspired by Spoon's raspier voice to capture the new sound. The album's cohesive message represents the idea of a perfect man that Spoons was forced to be by his previous relationships

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER: Daniel The Freenerd.

Daniel was assigned as the executive producer of the record. His involvement on the album really pushed Silver Spoons to step out of his comfort zone and tackle new genres and artwork concepts.

"On this record, I wanted to capture his pain through his voice. I think we are used to hearing Spoons as this country heartthrob and in his past, there's this southern charm that he seemed to never escape from. With this record, you don't hear that at all. That voice that was manufactured by his previous label is no longer heard on this record. Also, the lyrical content on this album is really top-notch. Spoons were not playing around with that on this record. When it comes to the sound we really wanted to create something that no one has really touched on this year. The sound is big and electric but it's also unique in today's time. There's layer after layer as to what we placed on each record. Each record felt like its own album that's how tideus each track was to perfect but we managed to create something beautiful. As far as voice exploration on this album, you get to hear him really belt his voice. There are new emotions introduced that you never heard before from him so to listeners it might be a new refreshing take on his artistry." - Daniel The Freenerd

SONGWRITERS: Silver Spoons.

PRODUCERS: Shawn Everett, Silver Spoons, Daniel The Freenerd.

"Writing for this album meant looking really deep into every imperfection of myself and just kind of turning it into a song. I think the title of the album Man of Your Dreams is kind of ironic and almost sarcastic in a sense. This record really talks about the idea of a perfect man. It really dwells on the idea that our imperfections sometimes makes us perfect. Even with heartbreak; sometimes those situations bring out the better in you. I know coming off a relationship people tend to focus on certain emotions and it can be really self-destructive. This record in a sense kind of lifts you up and helps you cross that bridge that's broken by the relationship". - Silver Spoons

BAND/INSTRUMENTS:

Silver Spoons– vocals, guitars, harmonica, keyboards
Eric Wesley– saxophone, keyboards
Jonathan Wilson – keyboards, piano, guitars, samplers
Russell Davis– drums
Miguel Rodriguez– bass guitar, electric guitars, organs
Jacob Mckinney– guitar, keyboards

Other - Back-up vocalists, violins, harmonica, trumpets, soundboards

"Our band on this record really comes together in ways I couldn't even imagine when I was writing the records from my hospital bed. Each member in the bad is crucial in one way or another. Eric adds minor jazzy elements that you would hear in the '80s, Jonathan is the backbone and has the more traditional rock sound you would hear in the '90s, Russell is a beast with the drum work throughout the album, Miguel is also the backbone when it comes to the sound, and Jacob adds the lighter elements that I'm more used to playing. All together we created something really special." - Silver Spoons

GENRES: Alternative Rock, Heartland rock, Psychedelic Rock, Post Punk Revival, Synth-pop, Americana

"There were many challenges that came forward upon the recording of this album. I never thought in my life I would work on an album from a hospital bed and for nearly two months at that. After the accident; I think my perspective on music changed drastically. I wanted this album to represent that with its sound so the genres that I kind of leaned on were Rock. I was heavily inspired by the big 80's rock sound but I didn't want the records to sound dated either. Daniel really helps modernize that and kind of make it our thing" - Silver Spoons.

PROMOTION:
In December, Silver Spoons was on the cover of Billboard Magazine and was named "Man of The Year". In support of the album, Silver Spoons released "Man of Your Dreams" and "Raised by Wolves" as a dual single release. Spoons also performed both tracks for the first time during a live performance at Music Box on December 7, 2020, as well as did an interview. It was announced that "Flip The Script" was chosen as the album's third single and will be released on December 25, 2020, with a music video that will coincide with it. Title: “Man of Your Dreams”
Band: Spoons
Album: Man of Your Dreams
Release Date: November 12, 2020
Length: 5:53 (Minutes:Seconds)
Formats: Digital Download, Streaming, Mainstream/Rock Airplay
Recorded/Production: September-October 2020 at Rough House Records Miami, FL

Label: Studio60 Records
Written: September 2020
Writers: Silver Spoons
Producers: Daniel The Freenerd, Silver Spoons

"Man of Your Dreams" is the first song/lead single off Silver Spoon's debut album of the same name "Man of Your Dreams" with his band "Spoons". " The song which is written and produced by Silver Spoons; received major involvement from Daniel The Freenerd as a producer, creative director, and sound engineer. The song is set to be released on November 12, 2020. The song will be serviced by radios and will also be available on all streaming platforms and digital outlets. A music video for "Man of Your Dreams" is set to be filmed on November 17, 2020, with Daniel The Freenerd as Director. The music video is scheduled to premiere sometime in December to further promote the release of the album.

Writing and production for the song began as early as late September after Spoons recovered from his coma at the hospital. Spoons felt an overwhelming urge to write music after his post coma recovery and began reflecting on his love life in the past. That's what began the process of writing "Man of Your Dreams". Once writing the entire song from his hospital bed; Spoons reached out to Daniel to assist with studio sessions for the song. Friends of Spoons also began their involvement once the treatment for the song's score was written.

"The direction of my album immediately changed after the incident I had. I actually was writing a lot during my recovery. Instead of writing on a piece of paper, I would actually record myself on my iPhone and then I would go ahead and send it to Daniel or anyone I was working with so that vocals could be laid. This song is specific we had to work with mostly from when I was in bed at the hospital which was not only challenging but just kept me motivated to get better. Maybe listeners may not connect with the song like I do but I have such a connection with this song that I cried when I heard the final version because it really is a testament to my journey" - Silver Spoons

The song references Silver Spoon's relationship with Sophie Miller whom he dated from 2013-2019 and it also talks about Spoon's battle with keeping up with unrealistic expectations his parter expected of him. /Cultivated every part of me so you could create the man of your dreams but that's not who I was and someone I'll never be/. The song also talks about having self-confidence and learning to accept yourself for who you are. This can also be a reference to Silver Spoon's sexuality which had a crucial impact on his relationship with Sophie Miller.

"Every woman wants the perfect dream partner but sometimes that can be unrealistic you know. There's a lot of pressure that comes with that sometimes from a man's point of view especially. This song speaks for those who have been in a serious relationship or marriage and their partner has unrealistic expectations which in my case lead to self-destructive behavior. For me, my love life has never been easy simply because of my sexuality. After this relationship, I learned to kind of love myself for who I am. I think that's the most beautiful thing about this song, is that it kind of completes a chapter for me in my life that I don't want to go back to but in a way feels celebratory." - Silver Spoons

The song begins with a section of music where various guitars are merged to create a soft but electric sound. The sound begins to pick up once joined by the drums and other keyboards and guitar effects produced by samplers. Spoon's voice in its raspy nature sounds confident but relaxed. The song's moody sound continues reflecting that of an 80's song but with an alternative spin provided by sound boards. Once the song grows with emotion in its sound, so does Spoon's voice. The second to last portion of the song includes a 1 minute 25-second guitar solo which is played by Jonathan Wilson and Daniel The Free Nerd. Once the guitar solo is finished the remaining 30 seconds are nothing but a silent fade of an electric guitar.

MAN OF YOUR DREAMS / LYRICS

"I'm numb from it all
waited patiently for the last leaf to fall
now that this love is dead im free after all
Was on the way to the top but you're scared of heights
you begged me not to leave you with a lonely night
but so long my friend...
we sure put up a good fight

Feel your heart falling on the pavement street
cooked up a war but all you get is grease
something I guess I couldn't get you to see
yeah something I can't get you to see
I could have been the man of your dreams

Don't you feel special
always wanting all the attention
wanted to show you the moon and the stars
but it wasn't enough with my affection
There isn't enough medication to cure your wicked heart
but I made you swallow your cruel intentions
yeah your cruel intentions

Cultivated every part of me
so you could create the man of your dreams
but that's not who I was
and someone I'll never be
Don't owe you an apology, not giving in to your ideology
of what we were supposed to be
Cause every piece of me is a masterpiece
and now that you're gone I am at peace

Feel your heart falling on the pavement street
cooked up war but all you get is grease
something I guess I couldn't get you to see
yeah something I can't get you to see
I could have been the man of your dreams

You worship the idea of me
but this isn't a permanent residency
so pack your bags and go on
cause I'll never be your perfect man
I'll never be the man of your dreams

[Guitar Solo/Outro]"

SINGLE #2

Title: “Raised by Wolves”
Band: Spoons
Album: Man of Your Dreams
Release Date: November 12, 2020
Length: 4:40 (Minutes:Seconds)
Formats: Digital Download, Streaming
Recorded/Production: October 2020 at Liverdish Studios Nashville, TN
Genres: Alternative Rock; Punk Revival
Label: Studio60 Records
Written: October 2020
Writers: Silver Spoons
Producers: Silver Spoons, Shawn Everett

"Raised by Wolves" is the second song/lead single off Silver Spoon's debut album of the same name "Man of Your Dreams" with his band "Spoons". " The song which is written by Silver Spoons; and received major involvement from Shawn Everett as a producer and engineer. Daniel The Freenerd served as a creative director for the artwork. The song is set to be released on November 12, 2020. The song will be available on streaming platforms. The song will be played on NME radio as track of the week on November 12, 2020, along with "Man of Your Dreams.

Writing and production for the song began as early as October. Spoons was already well underway with work on the new album but were inspired by him surviving his deadly car accident. Once again Spoons wrote the entire song from his hospital bed with the assistance of his phone. For this song Spoons reached out to Shawn Everett for further inspiration. Once Everett received the lyrics for the song he expressed his desire to produce the song for Spoons and immediately began working on the song via Facetime with Spoons. The song progressed over the first week of October with the Spoons band providing instrumentation during production. The song initially did not have the punk revival section at the end but Spoons added the section last minute once released from the hospital. This added a stronger element that the prior single did not have. The song overall contains a more electronic punk-rock oriented approach than the prior track.

"After my accident, I really didn't see the light at the end of the tunnel at first. I've always been a strong person because of my upbringing. Everyone pictures me as this country guy who was raised on a farm, but I actually lived both city life and farm life before all the fame. This song is kind of my testimony to that. I'm tough and I've been through so much shit. This accident almost ended my life but I'm still here. I'm fortunate and grateful for that." - Silver Spoons.

RAISED BY WOLVES/ LYRICS

"Woke up with a bit of pain in my eyes
as death stared at me in the face,
it took me to a place
I have never been before
faith
Is what it said to keep
at my core but I'm quickly losing it

A childhood as blurry as can be
I thought I'll never get to leave
stranded in a world I don't belong
so who are you trying to deceive

I never once dreamed of being rich
but chivalry turned out to be a real bitch
never once thought it was worth the price
but I guess I'll keep trying to roll the dice
A new era is about to begin
A spineless heart and rough skin
got tired of howling at the moon
I want to be my own person but is that soon?

new days now don't feel old
I can make it now without someone to hold
but the sky bleeds colorless tears
and you start feeling everything I fear
not as tough as you thought my dear

A childhood as blurry as can be
I thought I'll never get to leave
stranded in a world I don't belong
so who are you trying to deceive

I never once dreamed of being rich
but chivalry turned out to be a real bitch
never once thought it was worth the price
but I guess I'll keep trying to roll the dice
A new era is about to begin
A spineless heart and rough skin
got tired of howling at the moon
I want to be my own person but is that soon?

feel the ground shaking underneath you
our love is now beneath us
don't you know I was raised by wolves
So I will Raise!
I'll Rise and raise hell
while dancing on your grave
to the fuck I gave
now hear my screams
RAISED BY WOLVES
RAISEEEEEE BYYYY WOLVES!!!!!
Raised by, raised by, raised by
wolves
The fuck you thought this was
yeah"

SINGLE #3

Title: “Pretty Little Flower”
Band: Spoons
Album: Man of Your Dreams
Release Date: January 1, 2021
Length: 3:09 (Minutes:Seconds)
Formats: Digital Download, Streaming
Recorded/Production: October 2020 at Rough House Records Miami, FL
Genres: Alternative Rock, Hard Rock
Label: Studio60 Records
Written: October 2020
Writers: Silver Spoons
Producers: Daniel The Freenerd, Silver Spoons, Spoons (Band)

"Pretty Little Flower" is the third single off Silver Spoon's debut album "Man of Your Dreams" with his band "Spoons". " The song which is written and produced by Silver Spoons; but also received major involvement from Daniel The Freenerd as a producer, creative director, and sound engineer. The song was mainly written and vocally recorded during Spoon's hospital stay post recovery from his coma. This is the first song on the album that involves backing vocals from his bandmates Eric Wesley, Jonathan Wilson, Russell Davis, Miguel Rodriguez and Jacob Mckinney. The song also received assistance from the Spoons band as a whole throughout post-production. As a bonus, the song will be made available for streaming with a pre-order purchase on December 24, 2020.

Writing and production for the song began as early as October after Spoons recovered from his coma at the hospital; immediately following the inspiration Spoons received after recording the prior two tracks he began to write "Pretty Little Flower". With this track, Spoons wanted to have a bit more fun with the lyrics and make them a bit sensual than he's used to writing. To get this work out he thought of a funny story he remembers from his early touring days when girls would meet him at the back of his trailer to get pictures with him and potentially get picked to hang out with the country superstar. While Spoons used a past experience as inspiration to writing the song; the song itself is fictional and is not about anyone in particular.

"There's a very necessary switch with this song on the album. After pouring my heart out on the first two tracks I wanted to give myself and the listeners a break from those strong emotions and throw something a bit more fun into the mix. This is king of a sexy song. It talks about a confident woman who's not only sure of herself but she somehow manages to get me to concede to her desires. She's not your typical groupie fangirl; she happens to stand out from that. I think that kind of fantasy is something that will make this song fun to play in shows and get the fans going." - Silver Spoons

The song features a more twangy alternative rock production in comparison to the prior two.
The song begins with a moody guitar and hard-hitting drums playing in a mysterious kind of way. Spoons' vocals come in very relaxed but sensual. This type of vocal style continues right up until the chorus kicks in; in which both the production and vocals both transition to a more generic-sounding vocals/rock guitar playing. As each shift happens in the song from generic to alternative the moody section grows more intense. The band as a whole is also heard backing vocals during the choruses which is something that was not done in the prior two tracks as all bandmates were silent.

"In terms of this album; most of the project centers around the idea of a person crafting that perfect partner but in this case, it's less about me and more about the other person. This song is a break from that concept. I also wanted to try something new sonically because this song even for me feels completely different from anything that I've recorded. The first two songs somewhat have some type of reference to something I've done in the past but this song in particular sounds like nothing I've ever done before." - Silver Spoons

PRETTY LITTLE FLOWER/ LYRICS

"She looked lost in the universe
Picked you from the crowd like a pretty little flower
she wrote me letters like a holy verse
but also says welcome to my scary hours
she pushed me down to my bed
how could a pretty little thing have so much power
sat there while she gave me ****
stood there like a brick but then she breaks her silence
she says she wants to have sex with a little violence

She likes the taste of sin off the tip of her tongue
She's a pretty little flower but she's no daisy
she dresses like a ****...but she's not easy

So come and be my pretty little flower
be my pretty little flower
you can be my pretty flower
come and be my pretty little flower

She looked lost in the universe

"Flip The Script" is the fourth song/ single off Silver Spoon's debut album of the same name "Man of Your Dreams" with his band "Spoons". " The song is written by Silver Spoons and like prior tracks 'Man of Your Dreams' and 'Pretty Little Flower'; the song also received major involvement from Daniel The Freenerd as a producer, creative director, and sound engineer. The song is set to be released on December 25, 2020, as a promotional third single but will not be serviced by mainstream radio due to its explicit lyrical content. The song will however be serviced by indie radios and will also be available on all streaming platforms and digital outlets. A music video for "Flip The Script" was filmed and is set to premiere on December 25, 2020, with Daniel The Freenerd serving as Director. This will make the second music video Daniel The Freenerd has directed for the album. The music video is set to feature trans-woman model Andreja Pejic as Silver Spoon's love interest.

Just like prior songs on the album; writing and production for the song began as early as mid-October after Spoons recovered from his coma at the hospital. The song was initially written as a joke but the songwriting became more serious and developed once the topic was discussed with producer Daniel The Freenerd and Spoon's bandmates. Despite there being 6 versions of the song; Silver Spoons kept the initial version he wrote as he felt it was less commercialized and the least filtered out of all of the versions he wrote. This lead to the decision to not choose the song as a second single due to the fact that the final version of the song could not be sent to the radio due to its lyrical content. After various listening sessions, Spoon's decided to make the song the official third single despite the song not having the capability to impact mainstream radio.

The song itself talks about a man who likes to be dominated on occasion by his woman. The song also makes sexual innuendos and references to giving a girl cunnilingus. While the song is explicit in its lyrical content; it continues to play on the theme of the album; which is the idea of a perfect man.

"I wanted to write a song that felt like a woman wrote it for a man. literally flipped the script on the topic of dominance and pleasuring a woman. I feel like sex is so black and white and when talked about in songs. We also expect the man to be one that dominates and is in charge but this song talks about the complete opposite. There are many men that like to be dominated in the bedroom and I just think it's important to talk about this and normalize it. I also wanted to make a song that would make women feel powerful and in control. It's kind of sexy to me. I like a woman that can take charge in the bedroom from time to time."- Silver Spoons

The song begins with random electric sounds programmed by a computer. The song's main production then kicks in with a wacky sound that is heard throughout the song, a steady drumbeat, and various other guitars which includes an infectious dominant bass. The song is layered by various keyboards that help create the alternative sound in the song and keep the song moving at a wacky pace. The song also features minor talking from bandmates Russell Davis and Miguel Rodriguez at the beginning and end of the song. Silver Spoon's vocals are heard in a more sensual manner than prior tracks but the raspiness in his voice was also kept. There's a minor guitar solo that is played by Miguel Rodriguez during the bridge. Overall the song continues the alternative rock sound that the band will signature throughout the album. The song finishes with an electric guitar sounding off with a keyboard fade out.

"The production on this song is probably one of my favorite because it's not elusive like Man of Your Dreams. That track was so difficult to play live at first but this song is more up my alley in terms of what I feel comfortable playing. The vocals are fun and the lyrics also kind of fun and naughty to sing. I just want people to hear this song and be like "Did he really go there?". And I'll be like "Why yes I did"." - Silver Spoons

FLIP THE SCRIPT/ LYRICS

"[Russell]
hell yes

[Silver Spoons]

Tonight I'm letting go of my insecurities
while I still give you a bit of my security
cause this is not your typical
but might feel like a miracle
a real man lets a woman lead
so flip the script on me baby
show me what you got pretty lady
tonight you're the boss of me

I wanna fulfill all of your desires
a woman like you I aspire
make a command baby and I'll obey
you can have me any way
I'm not gonna sugar coat it you see
cause I like you with your bad behavior
come be my lord and savior
I'll get on my knees....for you
so flip the script on me baby
push me on the bed pretty baby
a grown man like me likes to be fed
So pick up the pace for me baby
sit on my face pretty lady
cause tonight you wear the pants
I need a feminine beauty in command
So Flip the script on me baby
cause you're the one doing me tonight

So flip the script on me baby
sit on my face pretty lady
you're the boss of me tonight
flip the script on me baby
take a turn on me lady
cause you're the boss of me tonight

I wanna fulfill all of your desires
a woman like you I aspire
make a command baby and I'll obey
you can have me any way
I'm not gonna sugar coat it you see
cause I like you with your bad behavior
come be my lord and savior
I'll get on my knees....for you
so flip the script on me baby
push me on the bed pretty baby
a grown man like me likes to be fed
So pick up the pace for me baby
sit on my face pretty lady
cause tonight you wear the pants
I need a feminine beauty in command
So Flip the script on me baby
cause you're the one doing me tonight

I can turn a tight road slippery
I know my mileage is a mystery
so ride my face till the wheels fall off
and until I can taste every piece of you
I know this feels like an illusion
no such things as delusion
when I think of you
I lose control of myself
Fuck yeah

So flip the script on me baby
sit on my face pretty lady
you're the boss of me tonight
flip the script on me baby
take a turn on me lady
cause you're the boss of me tonight
flip the script on me baby
sit on my face pretty lady
you're the boss of me tonight
flip the script on me baby
take a turn on me lady
cause you're the boss of me tonight

Tonight I'm letting go of my insecurities
while I still give you a bit of my security
cause this is not your typical
but might feel like a miracle
a real man lets a woman lead
so flip the script on me baby
show me what you got pretty lady
tonight you're the boss of me
