Yumi Takahashi is back! This time with her highly anticipated 4th studio album. Featuring songs from the hit singles "Secret Room", "DISTURBER / Confusion", "Dear Family", "TABOO" and "恋のおくりもの" (gift of love). Takahashi has been working on this album for over a year now and it has now finally come together and just about ready for release. The album was released December 31, 2009. The DVD will contain 6 music videos and 6 making of videos for each music video. Also included on the DVD will be behind the scenes footage of Takahashi's process in making the album. First press copies of the album will come with 4 bonus tracks, which includes an english version of Takahashi's debut single "DIAMOND WAVE" and a wall poster.

The album will be released under Takahashi's own label, Urban Kiss Records.

DIAMOND was released on December 31, 2009 and reached number 1 in Asia, making this Yumi's second number one album in Asia, the first being Black Cherry. The album was only physically released in Asia and the UK, but was digitally released worldwide. The album is expected to be re-released sometime in the future, where it will see a proper physical release in many of the missing regions.

Yumi also released her 23rd single on December 29, 2009. The single instantly went straight to number 1 in Asia and is currently still at number 1 for it's second week in a row.

DIAMOND -UNCUT- was officially released on March 15 2010. The song came repackaged with new album artwork, the original track list and an addition of 6 brand new songs. This UNCUT edition is available worldwide, while the original album was only released in Asia and the UK. This means that now everyone worldwide can purchase the album and enjoy Yumi Takahashi's music!
