Katie Coyle
"Raindrops, Caffeine and Other Liquid Stimulants"
Rainy Day Grey Marble

Despite being Coyle's first and, to date, only studio effort, "Raindrops, Caffeine and Other Liquid Stimulants" is widely regarded as one of the most important and influential albums of all-time. Combining raw, honest song writing with crossover radio appeal, a couple dashes of personal turmoil and some public controversy, Katie's debut album became an era-defining pop culture moment for the zeitgeist. Its presence and impact can still be felt to this day, with its packaging and rollout being seen as the blueprint for a budding star's breakout moment. Many of today's top artists still cite the record as a huge influence. You can now enjoy spinning the classic album on "Rainy Day" grey marble vinyl. Includes the massive hit "Naked on Paper" as well as classics such as "It's Only My Eyes" and "Invanity".

Weekend
"Fired Up"
Ruby Red Marble

Now considered as the biggest pop band on the planet, it all had to start somewhere for Weekend. "Fired Up" is the record which launched the band into the stratosphere back in 2012, throwing five regular British (and Irish!) schoolboys into the dizzying heights of superstardom as well as into the hearts of millions across the globe. While their upcoming set appears to be heading in a darker, broodier direction, Weekend's debut album is early 2010's pure pop goodness. Combining rock-pop, big ballads, synths and dance, the boys had every base covered to ensure world, er, radio domination. "Fired Up" is a physical representation of the moment 'Weekendmania' picked up and changed the culture forever. Twitter was never the same. Enjoy the dulcet tones of Oscar, Dustyn, Billy, Riley and Scott on this heavyweight ruby red marbled vinyl. Includes the huge #1 hit "Smile About It" as well as chart smashes "Everything About You" and "Fired Up".

Alicia Lena
"This is Who I Am"
Orchid & Cream Swirl

If anyone was ever made to be a musical megastar, it is the unmistakable Alicia Lena. Recently earning her impressive 11th #1 hit on the Hot 20 Singles Chart, her star power was prophetically written on the wall way back on her 2010 debut release. Busting out of the gates with a debut effort that included features from Ryan Ross Hernandez, Stephanie Fierce, and Tisha Jackson, Ms. Lena was evidently fast-tracking a way to the top. Brushing shoulders with the musical elite, however, was not Alicia's only weapon. She has the vocal, writing, and producing chops to back it up. Regarded as one of the most revered entertainers in today's world, the seedlings of her brilliance were already scattered throughout "This Is Who I Am". This exclusive orchid and cream pressing of the classic R&B album includes all of the original tracks combined with bonus recordings initially only found on the special expanded edition. Includes beloved hits such as "New York Love Affair", "Rooftops" and "More Than You'll Ever Know"

Vanity
"Prisoner"
Lady Killer Pink & Clear Splatter

It's hard to ever imagine the juggernaut that is Vanity being a hopeful newcomer on the scene. With the stardust she naturally exudes, knack for churning out monster hits and collecting multi-platinum certifications like Pokémon, she has always made it look stupidly easily. Things weren't all the different even in her debut era. Released under her original Miss Vanity moniker (yes, we're going THAT far back!), "Prisoner" immediately caught the attention of radio stations, critics, and the general public at large for offering something unique, exciting and packaged in glitter, contrasting greatly from the guitar-yielding, angst-ridden, male-dominated default setting of the airwaves at the time. Pressed for the first time on a "Lady Killer" pink and clear swirl vinyl, "Prisoner" contains a barrage of pop gems and gay anthems such as "Retro, Dance, Freak", "Smoke & Mirrors" and "Valley of the Dolls".

Ryan Ross Hernandez
"Matters of the Heart"
Softest Lavender Marble

Recently achieving the accolade of becoming the artist with the most #1 hits in Chart Heat history, it all had to start somewhere for the swooning Mr. Hernandez. Having just celebrated its 20th Anniversary (TWENTY?!), "Matters of the Heart" is an often overlooked record by the public at large but one that diehard fans of Ryan hold in high regard. It is where it all started for their fave man, after all. Joshua Grimmie even cites it as the album that inspired him to pick up a guitar and pursue music. Take from that what you will. Dropping in the fall of 2004, "Matters of the Heart" predates the media circus of Hernandez's global icon status and the alarmingly intrusive interest in his love life. With its pop rock and acoustic tones, alongside his bright-eyed and bushy-tailed newcomer aura, this album is Ryan at his purest. Enjoy where it all began on a "Softest Lavender" marble vinyl. Includes "Your Arms Feel Like Home".

Ellie-Grace Summers
"Ellie-Grace"
Sweet Like Candy Pink

Everyone's favorite country starlet seemingly came swinging out of the gates back in 2011, instantly achieving success and acclaim not only in the country music market, but across the boards. Lauded for the "wise beyond her years" self-penned and co-produced songs, Ellie-Grace's self-titled debut album received rave reviews upon release and the young lady was instantly touted as the industry's next big thing. While she would of course go on to obliterate the success of her debut release with her sophomore album, we cannot forget that "Ellie-Grace" also had its moment in the sun. With an eardrum-pleasing, toe-tapping fusion of country and pop and the butter-wouldn't-melt personality delivering it all, it's no wonder that Ellie broke through with such ease and, er, grace! The sweetness is now yours to indulge in all over again on a "Sweet Like Candy" pink vinyl. Includes crossover hits such as "I'd Wait Forever" and "Silence Is Deafening".

Tika Mays
"Strictly Business"
Red Blooded Translucent

Tika Mays has become one of the most recent breakout stars to earn her place in the pop culture zeitgeist, carving out quite the name for herself since the turn of the decade. Thankfully, she has lasted much longer than COVID-19 and provided hooks much catchier than the abysmal virus she unfortunately debuted alongside. A Payton-assisted remix of her debut single "Ready To Fly" helped catapult her into the upper regions of the charts, earning her first Top 5 hit fairly early on in her career. If we know one thing about Ms. Mays however, it's that she doesn't need a man to help her get by. She has since gone on to rack up numerous, sassy hits on her own accord and "Strictly Business" is where it all started. The album shows all the makings of a true modern day pop diva. Issued for the first time on a glorious "Red Blooded" vinyl, it includes the hits "Ready To Fly" (in both forms!), "I Wanna Love You More" and "I Don't Need You".

Mandy Williams
"The Teenage Years"
Neon Nights Glow In The Dark Green

It's hard to believe that this album is now over 10 years old as, for those who remember, Williams' debut was frustratingly plagued by delays back in the day. Launching and assaulting the charts back in 2012, it wouldn't be until 2014 and a change in label that Mandy would finally grace us with "The Teenage Years". Jam-packed with a plethora of radio hits, "bratty" stompers, and tear-jerking introspective moments, the album really does what it says on the tin. It's one big teenage mood swing that just so happens to be backed by lush vocals and killer production. A true time capsule of its era, "The Teenage Years" is an all-encompassing representation of Mandy's time as THEE pop girl, the party-centric optimism of the early 2010's and the rise of teenage Twitter and Tumblr "stan culture". Relive your youth on this "Neon Nights" glow in the dark green vinyl. Includes the hits "Not Another Love Song", "Memories No More" and "Teenagers" all but to name a few.

SYNCO
"High Speed"
Strawberries & Cream Swirl

The brainchild of Weekend, who were in turn the brainchild of one of G2L (pop band inception much?!), SYNCO first burst onto the scene and into our hearts back in 2012. Plucked from obscurity by Weekend and Five Pesky Kids in the hope of making a "strong" and "empowering" female group; Layla, Alexis, Jamie, Naomi and Nicole took the world by storm with the power of five. Fusing all of their influences together, which included everything from Latin, to R&B, to pop, to rock, SYNCO had all bases covered with the music while their powerful personalities packaged a perfect pop product. Calling them a "female Weekend" would be doing them a disservice. Every aspect of each girls' talents, dreams, desires and influences were poured in to create such a unique, captivating group in its own right. Pressed on a delicious "Strawberries and Cream" swirl vinyl, their breakout debut record "High Speed" includes hits such as "Treat Your Girl Right" and "Rock The Night".

Glamazon
"Demons"
Dual Personality Black & White Split

From the early to mid 2010's, you couldn't switch on a radio or turn on a television without being brutally assaulted by the often weapon-wielding Glamazon. Not that we're complaining! An absolute pop tour-de-force, Glamazon debuted already appearing as the perfect, pristine package. Her dark, aggressive, somewhat murderous dominatrix image coinciding with her artsy, icy and immaculately polished music both intimidated and intrigued everyone who was lucky enough to bear witness to her meteoric rise to stardom. Glamazon knew what she wanted, out of life, love and most importantly, her art. She always had something interesting to say, even if it was wrapped in barbed wire at times. Her 2010 debut was the launch pad for her inescapable dominance at the turn of the last decade. Coming out on "Dual Personality" black and white split vinyl, "Demons" includes hits such as "Heart Malfunction" and "Lethal Love".

Michelle Green
"The Voice of Me"
Blonde Ambition Swirl

One of the biggest selling and synonymous artists with the 2010's, Michelle Green burst onto the scene at the turn of the last decade armed with glass-shattering pipes, penmanship skills beyond her years and a knack for breaking records almost daily. In fact, at just 15 years old, Michelle became the youngest artist ever to earn a #1 single on The Hot 20, a record which she still holds to this day. Instantly beloved and showered in acclaim, Michelle made the transition from schoolgirl to international megastar look effortless. "The Voice of Me" was a runaway success, blending her sweet persona with razor-sharp writing and biting Indie Pop brilliance, perfectly encompassing what Miss Green was all about straight out the gate. Now being pressed on "Blond Ambition" swirl vinyl, her multi-platinum debut album includes the breakout hit "Fifteen", as well as the #1 singles "Dark Days" and "Red Symphony".

Kidd Amaze
"Listen and Be Amazed"
Silver Grey Split

OK, OK, *technically* this isn't a debut album. It's a debut mixtape. But who is being pedantic? Certainly not us. The early 10's rap scene was practically run by British acts - there's a sentence we never thought would ever be uttered! After the glory days of MattY, Foxxxy and Lucifer subsided, TJ Cousins aka "Kidd Amaze" cropped up from seemingly nowhere with a one-man-mission: claiming the throne. With his intricate and speedy flows, witty and intelligent word play as well as just coming across as effortlessly cool, the industry were practically all over this budding star the second he dropped his first ever freestyle. It's not often that a mixtape holds as much, if not more cultural significance than an album. "Listen and Be Amazed" was a landmark in the American rap scene as well as the sounds of urban and crossover radio. Enjoy the classic release on vinyl for the first time on a split silver and grey disc.

Jugendstil
"Fenklup"
Heaven / Hell Split

One of the newest albums on our list, Jugendstil's "Fenklup" is one which we are sure is set to become a classic many years from now. An eclectic line-up of English, French and Dutch musicians, formed and based in London, the band draw on different personal tastes and styles to fuse together the unique and unmistakable sound of Jugendstil. From lounge, to electronic, to indie rock, they cover all sorts of bases and somehow manage to blend it all so seamlessly. One of Head South Records breakout acts, the band have already experienced quite the successful crossover into the mainstream. Delve into the fascinating world of Jugendstil by picking up "Fenklup" on this striking orange and blue "Heaven / Hell" split vinyl. Includes the hits "Antisong 74" and "Fractal Mind of a Crowd".

Hayden
"Perception"
Opaque Red Hazard Perception

When you're the sibling of one of the biggest-selling artists of all-time and plan on launching a record career of your own, the pressure is on. The continuous comparisons and pressure to meet an incredibly high set of standards, however, seemed like water off a duck's back for Mr. Merjos. Carving out his own lane, musical identity and cultural impact (hide the chairs!), Hayden's ice cold confidence and straight talking attitude allowed him to elbow his way to the top on his own merit. The guy had something to say, goals to achieve and his sheer determination and authenticity evidently appealed to the masses. While his sister was THEE pop girl, Hayden himself was THEE pop boy for a time, predating many big names that'd follow in his footsteps. Pressed on an opaque red "Hazard Perception" (see what we did there?) vinyl, rediscover Hayden and cause some havoc while you're at it. Includes the hits "Take Me On", "Lullabye" and "Criminal".

Joshua Grimmie
"PORCELAINHEART"
Black & White Smoky Swirl

Eventually going on to simultaneously earn the accolades of having the longest-running #1 single and longest-charting album in history (as well as garnering attention for a few other reasons), Joshua Grimmie's debut era was also one not to be sneezed at. Parting ways with a record label after only one single and pissing off millions of Americans with his vehement anti-Trump stance in the lead up to his debut release, the odds weren't in his favour to become the breakout star he now is. Fiery, biting and oft-sexually charged lyrics delivered with the smoothest guitar licks and coquettish delivery, Grimmie is never in the bad books for long whenever he unleashes his musical genius. Pressed on an eye-catching black and white smoky swirl vinyl, "PORCELAINHEART" features the hits "Prayer", "Don't Let It Go To Your Head", "Breathe Fire" and "Ticking On It" - in both its original form and, for the first time as part of the album, the single mix featuring guest vocals from Eilidh.

Austin Nimmo
"Fearless"
Blue Grey Split

One of the biggest and longest serving breakout stars of the 2010's, Austin Nimmo's name has been synonymous with the upper echelon of the pop charts since he first touched base back in 2013. Combining pop fizzy enough to excite his teenage fanbase, R&B cool enough to be considered "credible" (we hate that word!) by those outside the teeny bopper fandom, and a kinship with fellow contemporary Kato, Austin found his footing and tonnes of success almost instantaneously. He was the typical heartthrob pop boy package with a boatload of talent to back it up just in case anyone dared accuse him of skating solely by on his looks. "Fearless" is filled to the brim with meticulously crafted radio ditties and the odd, lip quivering downbeat moment for the more emotionally volatile listener. It's 2014 pop perfection. This blue and grey split pressing of "Fearless" exclusively contains the 3 deluxe edition bonus tracks as well as the monster hits "Pretty Girls", "Adore You" and "Girlfriend".

Kara Romero
"Do I Have Your Attention Now?"
Pure Snow White Marble

Kara Romero is undoubtedly one of the biggest stars in the world at the moment. Stacking up #1 hits, releasing one of the biggest selling albums of the 2020's and hot on the heels of releasing a critically acclaimed collaborative EP with Younghood, it's hard to imagine the hitmaker ever fighting for her place. Initially debuting way back in 2012, it wouldn't be until 2016 when we would finally be graced with Kara's long-awaited freshman album. "Do I Have Your Attention Now?" was certainly an apt title. Backed by a new label, co-productions from Kidd Amaze and a hunger to finally break through, Ms. Romero pulled no punches in delivering a uniquely and intricately crafted body of work. Not many can fuse alternative rock with hip-hop let alone do it with aplomb. "Do I Have Your Attention Now?" comes out on a "Pure Snow" white marbled vinyl and features acclaimed tracks such as "Same Old Tears", "Where The Real Things Are" and "We Are One".

Juneau
"Everywhere We've Ever Been"
Toxic Waste Glow In The Dark

Juneau's time in the mainstream spotlight may have been interpreted as a flash in the pan sort of affair to the untrained eye but as they say, those who know, KNOW. Before becoming the band on everyone's lips, Juneau had established quite the cult following in their home of Chicago's alternative music scene. So much so that OG fans dubbed them "The Pride of Illinois". Formed back in 2006 (yes, you read that right), Dallas, Kellin, Josh, Ryan and Jordan independently released several EPs before hitting the big time with "Everywhere We've Ever Been" in 2014. Amalgamating everything from pop-punk, to metalcore, to post-hardcore, Juneau and their music was electrically exciting and tantalised both fans and critics alike. The critically acclaimed album comes to life once again on a glow in the dark "Toxic Waste" disc. We're unsure if it passes as yellow or green but in the spirit of Juneau, why not just have a bit of everything?

Adam Black
"Memories"
Cocoa Powder Swirl

OK, we're well aware Dallas Conners is placed above but we promise this isn't a "Lovers of Dustyn Blue" list. All coincidental, we promise! Adam Black has recently returned to the music scene, enjoying more success than his initial attempt, finally gaining his first chart-topper. Back in the day when "Memories" dropped, Adam was a much more controversial figure. It seemed as though his bad boy antics and features in Culture Uncut was what kept him afloat. The music was a far second. So, it's time to revisit this often overlooked record with new eyes and ears. With a booming, crooning voice backed by Big Band, Jazz and Soul numbers, Black's debut is far more refined and sophisticated than the public image he held at the time. In terms of debut albums, "Memories" is one which still showcases a maturity and refinery to this day. Coming out for the first ever time on vinyl, "Memories" is pressed on a delicious "Cocoa Powder" swirl vinyl. Includes the hits "Beautiful" and "Touchdown".

The Zone
"The High Life"
Golden Sands

Oh come on! Dallas, Adam and now Blake? We don't want to be sued by a member of Weekend. Well, not at least until we shift a few of these vinyl first. So, The Zone. Bursting onto the scene back in 2012 as part of the boy band wave, Blake, Chris, Jason and Liam offered a "smoother" Pop and R&B take while other contemporaries delved into more bombastic sounds to the masses. With a Weekend connection and Blake's relation to the pop starlet of the moment Mandy Williams, The Zone took to the spotlight like a duck to water, racking up hits and having their handsome faces plastered over everything from pencil cases to water bottles. Rediscover The Zone's debut album "The High Life" on our heavyweight "Golden Sands" vinyl. Includes the hits "Nothing They Can Say", "Beautiful In Every Way" and "Give Me A Try". Also, free feet pictures in 12x12 if you're into that sort of thing.

(Heart & Sleeve, a Friday afternoon)

Chad and Vinnie were doing what they did best: arguing about music while flipping through the crates at Heart & Sleeve, the kind of record shop that looked like it had been here since vinyl was invented, but in reality, had probably opened sometime around the Arctic Monkeys’ third album.

“Mate, you can’t be serious,” Chad scoffed, holding up a copy of "Strictly Business" by Tika Mays, the Red Blooded Translucent version. “This? You, a so-called connoisseur of ‘real’ music, are actually considering spending money on this?”

Vinnie smirked. “You wound me, Chad. You know I’m a sucker for an audaciously pressed limited edition.” He flicked through another crate. “Besides, you were just drooling over that Kara Romero Pure Snow White Marble thing five minutes ago.”

“Yeah, but that’s different,” Chad said. “Romero’s an artist. Tika Mays just knows how to work a decent synth.”

Vinnie scoffed. “That’s funny coming from the guy who owns three different pressings of *Demons* by Glamazon.”

“Two,” Chad corrected. “And it’s a concept album. Doesn’t count.”

They could have gone on like this for hours but the usual atmosphere of Heart & Sleeve suddenly shifted, voices rising, excitement creeping in. Chad glanced up.

“What’s going on over there?”

A small crowd had gathered near the listening station, heads craning, people nudging each other. Vinnie grabbed his arm. “C’mon, let’s check it out.”

They maneuvered through the cluster of denim jackets and second-hand band tees. At the center of it all was a makeshift stage (or at least, the corner of the shop where a few amps and a drum kit had been squeezed in). A bass player. A drummer. A keyboardist. And then—

Her.

Harlow Reed.

Chad didn’t need to ask. He’d read about her, heard "Distant Thunder" on a late-night indie radio show. But now, seeing her in real life, guitar slung over her shoulder, blonde hair loose and wavy, the way her fingers curled around the fretboard like they belonged there...it was something else.

UserPostedImage

He was staring. He knew he was staring. He could feel Vinnie watching him, smirking before even saying anything.

“She’s alright, I suppose,” Vinnie whispered, way too close to his ear. “If you like that sort of thing.”

“Shut up.”

“I bet you won’t talk to her.”

“Shut up.”

Harlow started playing, and the shop shifted into silence except for the warm strum of her guitar. Her voice was soft but confident, the kind that wraps around a song and makes it hers completely. Chad barely blinked.

By the time the last chord rang out, the crowd erupted in applause. A guy from the store, Heart & Sleeve’s resident music nerd, the kind of bloke who thought his knowledge of obscure B-sides made him a philosopher—stepped up to ask her a few questions.

“So, Harlow, tell us about "Blue Light" What’s the album really about?”

Harlow smiled, setting her guitar down. “It’s about growing up in a city, feeling isolated, everything feels unreal.”

Chad nodded, involuntarily. "That’s a good answer."

“And Distant Thunder?”

“It’s about how love can come and go like a storm. How it can be electric, loud, then vanish just as suddenly.”

Vinnie nudged Chad. “That sound familiar, mate?”

Chad ignored him, focused entirely on the way she answered, the way she thought about it. She’s actually interesting, he realized. Not just talented. Not just hot. Actually interesting.

After a few more questions, the Heart & Sleeve guy announced that she’d be signing copies of "Blue Light" over at the counter. The queue formed instantly. Chad hesitated.

“Oh, we’re getting in line,” Vinnie said, already dragging him toward it.

“I don’t even know if I want the record.”

“Oh, come off it. You want the record. And you want to talk to her. And you won’t. But you should.”

Chad rolled his eyes but let himself be pulled forward. The queue moved fast. Too fast. Suddenly, they were next.

Harlow looked up. “Hey,” she said, smiling.

And suddenly, Chad forgot how to speak.

She was even more stunning up close, her eyes sharp but kind, her lips curving into a polite, expectant smile.

“Hey,” Chad croaked. He immediately wanted to die.

Vinnie, the bastard, was grinning like a madman.

UserPostedImage

Harlow took a copy of "Blue Light" from the stack. “Want me to sign it?”

“Yeah,” Chad said.

Vinnie nudged him. “Ask her something.”

Then, before he could stop himself, Chad asked: “Uh, do you ever regret making a translucent vinyl?”

Harlow paused, marker in hand. “What?”

Vinnie slapped a hand over his face.

“I mean, uh,” Chad stammered. “Because of fingerprints. You know. They show up more.”

For a beat, Harlow just stared at him. Then—she laughed. A real, warm, slightly surprised laugh.

“Wow,” she said. “That’s probably the weirdest question I’ve gotten today. But no, I don’t regret it. Thought it looked cool.”

Chad nodded, swallowing. “It does.”

She scribbled something on the record sleeve and slid it back to him. “There you go.”

Chad looked down.

"To Chad – No regrets. Harlow x"

Vinnie peeked over his shoulder. “Mate, she wrote you a life lesson. Think she’s trying to tell you something.”
