This is why I promote "Glow in the sark". Every time we say something sarky, we glow, so people don't take it seriously. I would be like a glowstick.

I think I'm on to a brilliant product. "Glow in the sark" can not only make it clear when you're sarcastic, it can prevent AIDS! Thankyou Matticus for your typo! :')

(My stance on animal testing. Though I'm a bit shaky on testing on cats, I support it for medical reasons, not beauty products. And I would kind of like a glow in the dark cat.)

So, I finally finished editing a really really dumb "documentary" about a really really dumb musical comedy project my friends and I did for a few years. I warn you, it's 40 minutes long, and again, really really dumb. And awful. Don't watch it.

Didn't get to watch the whole thing Gildy, but from my understanding this whole thing is about a band called PMT. The narrator (you), is the host of the documentary of the PMT (Perfecting Music Terrifically) band???....

Is that a real band or a fictional band?

Well, the back story is this: PMT was me (Paul), and my friends Murray and Tom. See? We did this thing called PMT Jazzattack!, which was supposed to be us as an free jazz trio, performing entirely improvisational cover songs, and a few originals. We covered songs in the sense that we used the lyrics, and if Murray knew the tune (which he usually did not), he might sing it to that tune. Meanwhile, we would improvise music on any and all available instruments. We did this for a few years, then I moved out of the house in 2008. We did have a brief reunion in 2009, which turned out to be really shitty, so we figured we would turn that to our advantage and try and make a mockumentary out of it. Of course, nobody wanted to be involved, and then Tom went back up to live in Shetland, so it was mostly me and Murray (mostly just me) coming up with a way to make a story out of the end of PMT.

It was a bitch to edit, because I had to trawl through eight miniDV tapes (mostly for that big long section of short clips from various Jazzattack! episodes), plus I've been real lazy and creatively dead for the past couple years, so it took me this long to actually finish it. The last part of it to be filmed (except the little warning at the start) was last December. That's how lazy we're talking here.

Also, the whole thing is kind of embarrassingly dumb, but hey, we dug that hole, now we die in it.

Pretty cool concept. I find Indie films like this more fun to watch, because I can connect with the characters on a more personal level. I pretty much got the whole idea now. It's pretty hilarious, how you manage to work out all the costumes and edit the parts. I laughed at the vacuum they used to make the noise music.

but yeah, MiniDV tapes? You are courageous. Those are a bitch to edit. Thanks god for digital cameras. Good job!

That's actually a reference to the video of the song we were covering:

I have a bitchin' new computer. It's new and - well, bitchin'. :D No more backaches hunching over a laptop, no more having to replace the whole thing because I spilt some tea, no more power of a machine made in 2008. Sooo happy!

Saw this on my Twitter timeline - "It's safe to say, the amount of stress i'm going through with getting tickets for Panic! beats all the other gig stress." Was very close to telling her that PANIC! isn't a real band. D'oh!

So glad that the Bloc Party break up/replacing Kele rumours have been found as untrue (as of now anyway)

Anyone here live in Australia and also happen to be a Meat Loaf fan?

Cause I would do anything to have someone buy his latest album "Hell in A Hand-basket" and send me the mp3s. Stupid being released in Australia and not the rest of the world... :(
