I live in Manchester in the northern downtown area. I see only condos and classy sedans that are probably rented. That's me, only my car is actually bought (2005 Honda Accord).

If we are talking specifically about a geographical area, I would chose among the following:

Rome, Italy - an absolutely breathtaking, beautiful city, with enough history to keep any history dork occupied for life. The city I ultimately want to retire in.

Bora Bora - I've never been there, but the pictures I've seen and descriptions of the water and air and sky that I've read sound simply.. well.. like Paradise.

Tintagel / Torquay, England - I think that's how you spell it. I spent a night in the town with a number of friends. Walked down to the shore, and also through some great old historical ruins (have you figured out that I'm a history nut yet?) Absolutely beautiful. Fantastic memories. Also can't remember whether it was Tintagel or Torquay, but I've been to both places. Whichever place has the remarkable cliff across the ocean... just breathtaking.

Edinburgh, Scotland - What a city. Cosmopolitan and diverse, yet with a distinct "old world" feel with beautiful crags and absinthe on tap.

New York, USA - A city unlike any other (although I've heard Tokyo comes close. I've yet to see it though.) One must witness it to believe it. I currently have the honor and privledge to live just outside the city, and I'd proudly give a limb to live in Manhattan itself.

Prague, Czechoslovakia - Never been to the city, but I've seen pictures and read about it. Sounds awesome. I had plans to see it this coming fall, but the crazy bitch I was going to go with dumped me, and took that money that was in the "Prague" account.

Surfer's Paradise, Australia - How can I not include a place that has "Paradise" in it's name? :D
Instead of the Everyday is:

Kevin DelGaudio (Guitar)
Sam "I am" Winters (Bass)
Rob Palladio (Drums)
Anton Pierce (Keybords)

Yeah, I'd agree with that, There are huge old trees all over the city that have been there seemingly forever.

Glasgow is bland by comparison, largely a post-industrial wasteland with small pockets of history and culture. Some asshole town planners knocked down half the city to build a still unfinished motorway and to build horrible high-rises which are now one-by-one being demolished. The city centre is boring and characterless, if comprehensive. Yet despite this, sometimes I end up walking along the River Kelvin, and I can't believe how godsdamn beautiful it is.
