Now I usually like The Enemy, however this disgusts me. They have COMPLETELY ripped off The Clash's London Calling. Its silly really. Unless they meant to do it, in which case they should have made it a lot clearer. Otherwise, it's horrendous because The Clash were a brilliant band and pioneers of British Punk, this is just wrong. What are your opinions?

The Clash because at least they were doing something new. But honestly, neither.

This.

I'm ashamed to be in the town the Enemy allegedly "hailed" from. (Incorrect, they did not hail from Coventry, they came from Kenilworth, which is notably slightly further south. My ex-boyfriend lived near one of them, bahah.)

That's startlingly unoriginal.

And their singer ain't no Joe Strummer. Nor does their drummer sound like he has anything on Topper to be honest.

I'm not a massive Clash fan by any stretch, but I do really like them, think that they when they were on form they came out with some stunning tracks, lyrically and musically. But that The Enemy track is just...I mean what the fuck? Why not just cover the original?

Exactly, or at least just copy the whole song but change the lyrics or sample it or something, but don't pass it off as your own.

I dont like the Clash at all, and I marginally like the Enemy, I suppose that just about covers it...

Never heard of The Enemy, I agree they totally ripped off London Calling though.
And The Clash is one of the best bands ever.
I own:

Andrew Guinnard (Post-punk/acoustic)
Lucy Tankeray (Pop diva/weird)
