Batman 4eva. Love him. Love his enemies, just love the whole idea surrounding him. Plus the accompanying films recently have been stunning, especially The Dark Knight. In fact after that I prefer The Joker as a character to Batman, because Batman's a lickle too straight. If he shot a few people or beat them to a pulp a bit more often then he'd earn my respect.

I just like the baddies :P

See, if we're talking about my favourite comic book characters, well I like The Punisher, & I like John Constantine. I have a thing for anti-heroes. I like characters who are an out of control mess. Oh, and Dream from Neil Gaiman's Sandman books. And Rorschach. The classic character of V. I liked one of Batman's enemies, Anarky because of what he brought to the role of "the nemesis". He genuinely wanted to change the world for the better, it just so happened that it would have involved changing the status quo quite dramatically. Fantastic character.

But actual superheros? Well. OK, he was actually the nemesis of Miracleman when the series was written by Alan Moore, but Johnny Bates, aka Kid Miracleman (Marvelman & Kid Marvelman in the UK, stupid copyright ;)) is fantastic comic book character. Utter evil, but also with a naive young child inside. It's an interesting combination.



That one seen made me download the enter Miracleman run, and was not disappointed in the slightest!

Also like Deadpool, appreciate his wise-cracking sense of humour. I also love The Thing from The Fantastic Four. Fantastic 4 was one of the first comics I ever read, my dad had a collection of the first 4 episodes in paperback and I read it so often as a kid. And well, Thing was a big nasty mean but vulnerable & funny guy. Ben Grimm is ace.

Deadpool was bloody amazing..... I was so pissed when they ruined him in wolverine origins....

My favourite "superhero" is War Machine. Because he's like Iron Man, but with a much cooler costume, and big shoulder mounted cannons. Since my knowledge of superheroes is generally limited to 80s/90s cartoons, and wikipedia, I have no knowledge of War Machine's actual history, just that he looked cool in the old Iron Man cartoon, therefore he stuck in my mind.

yes he was..... They fucked about with how he became deadpool, gave him stupid powers, didn't explain his name properly and then killed him....

ruined the film.

I love Wonder Woman! Loved her growing up, thought she was amazing.
