Plenty of other bands who ought to be in there, but on the other hand, it's a big waste o' time anyway. Much as I hate to say it, it's an old folks home for dinosaurs long since past their prime. |

True yes. But you only get nominated 25 years after a first single. So.... im a big Peppers fan, very big. But im also a prog rock fan. So i say Genesis. For Peter and Steve, for Selling England, Foxtrot. Nursery Crymes, The Lamb, Trick of the Tale, Wind and Wuthering and even for all the other albums and ofcourse singles, costumes, theatre. They deserve it. |

KISS should definitely get picked. But man... Donna Summer??? RHCP???? Where's the rock?
But then again, Rolling Stone is a rag for pretentious fuckwits.

I cant stand punk and prog rock but I still believe they deserve a place in the hall of fame for their contributions, just as KISS does. |

Only if entry to the Hall Of Fame guaranteed KISS would never play again, would never record again, and would never do anything ever again. I'd prefer it if their back catalogue was erased as well. |

He's trying to say you must love punk if you like bands that were influenced by the punk scene, which is an absurd argument. |

A fairer point would be "if you can't stand The Stooges then you are No Fun".
Or something. |

That's not weird, AC/DC may have been influenced by punk but they are a world away from it....by that reasoning, I shouldn't like Napalm Death....whose roots lay in punk.. |

KISS should get picked. After all, Gene Simmons invented the horns sign, music, Paul Stanley, The Beatles, fried chicken, and Jesus.
