The spirit of love, one of my boys asked me. The spirit of love, mama, what's that? Sometimes you get questions from children you don't know what to answer. I gave my boy a kiss and he went to bed. Sam Effinger, a father of three daughters, once told me a story, somewhere in july '09 i believe, about a divorced woman who had to take care of herself after she was fired at the factory becouse she went to a hospital in worktime without telling anyone, just becouse her kid was sick. I immediately wrote a song about it. Stories about people are always interesting. And yes im always trying to write songs about it. Sam Effinger, my guitarist, understands me perfectly. With most of the songs he was a key person, who helped me a lot with it. But i must say that without Keith Oberman and Dwight Dubois, my bassist and my drummer, this album was never completed at all. All three of them are amazing musicians. Giving me ideas, supporting me, maybe that's the spirit of love.
