This months edition features mega successful superstar Stephanie Fierce. She has been topping the charts for most of the year and just never ceases to amaze us. We first saw her at the top of the charts with the hit "Hot Shot" which topped the U.S charts with The Rockers, an unlikely collaboration. Soon after, she achieved another chart topping hit with "Where I Belong" and then again with "Toy Soldier". And those singles that featured on the album but didn't make it to the top spot still managed respectable top 10 positions, an amazing achievement. Along with that success also comes with huge album sales, her album Stephanie Fierce: The Past, The Present & The Future Of Pop has sold over a huge 3 million copies worldwide. We're sure that she'll be topping those sales with her upcoming studio album Stephanie Fierce: Diary Of A Pop Sinner Vol. 1 which is in stores November 17th and is one of the most anticipated album releases of the year. On top of that, the album features lead single "Love Feels Like Grenades" which features girl group GirlSpice and will be available October 26th, another predicted smash hit for Stephanie.

NEWS AND RUMOURS:

- We hear that Gemma Ferns is indeed a lesbian and was spotted heading into Miss Vanity's apartment around two weeks ago, are the two getting it on? "I was shocked to see a woman who looked exactly like Gemma Ferns across the street from me, not only was that a shock but she headed towards Miss Vanity's apartment, I then saw Miss Vanity open the door slightly and Gemma quickly ran in, it was definitely her" a spectator told us. Are these two hiding something that we don't know?

- Are GirlSpice no longer appealing to the public? Their recent chart positions are definitely giving us a sign of this. New singles "Undress to the Beat", "Control" and "Energetic" all failed to enter the top 10 and although their recent greatest hits album managed a position of #3 in the UK and #7 in the U.S, the rest of the world seem to be paying no attention; as the album failed to enter the top 20 anywhere else in the world. Maybe now really is the best time for GirlSpice to split before they continue to damage their discography. Are GirlSpice really no longer appealing or is lack of promotion causing these disappointing positions?

- Speaking of GirlSpice, a very shocking ex-member recently revealed that she is indeed alive and is planning a comeback. Nadia revealed that she very secretly got surgery to change her appearence as a plan to make her comeback even bigger, she then went into hiding for around a year as the rest of the world believed she was dead. Nadia is currently recording her comeback album which marks her second album, her first gave her disappointing sales and chart positions but the future looks bright for Nadia with all this new found hype around the comeback. The album is set for a UK only release and should be out in 2010.

- What are we looking forward to? Of course, the upcoming Hell Night Halloween Festival! The festival is set to be one of the best of the year and will feature performances from acts such as The Violent Pyromaniac Enemies, Stephanie Fierce, Madbirds, Jakey Comatose, Miss Vanity, Failed Youth and many more. Make sure you don't miss this incredible festival!

- Aurora Fortin has recently changed the release date of her upcoming album release to October 20th. The hit album Technicolour which is being rereleased features the hit singles "On and On", "Realise", "Stay", "Histoire" and new recently released single "Full Circle". Make sure to pick up your copy when the album is out!

- Remember the Spice Festival? Rumours are now starting that the festival will be making a return soon and hope to feature performances from some of the biggest acts in the industry. Watch this space!

- Sexy Star has recently revealed on his Twitter account that he has started work on his new album. However, he also confirmed that the album will not be seeing a release until 2010 as he would like a break before going into the recording process of the album. We currently no have no information on the upcoming album.

MISS VANITY INTERVIEW

UserPostedImage

Q: Hello Miss Vanity, how are you?
A: I'm good.

Q: Are you a man?
A: I've come for this interview to talk to you fucking idiots about publishing that in your last magazine, what the fuck are you thinking? I'm not a man and you're just desperate to sell a few copies of this shit magazine, let's get on with this then.

Q: Your debut album has already sold over two million copies, an amazing debut. It also just missed the top spot in the U.S by one position, does that annoy you?
A: Not really... I know that I'll get there on this new album.

Q: So why did you decide to go Gothic on us for your new album Vampiric?
A: I'm experimenting and this is what I'm feeling at the moment. I've been experimenting with industrial/Goth beats and stuff along that line so I just wanted to try that out. The album is amazing and is much better than my debut, it's a lot more original because I've never seen an artist of my genre do this before.

Q: Do you think that you're original?
A: Yes. Who else is doing what I'm doing in Pop at the moment?

Q: You recently tried to ruin Gemma's and Billy's wedding, why?
A: I'm sick of sluts in the industry at the moment and it's time to call them out.

Q: People think that you're untalented because of the stereotypical comments towards Pop musicians, how do you feel about that?
A: What people don't know is that I write all my own material and I'm very much apart of the creative process, I design my own shows and I basically do everything for myself. I don't rely on other people much and there are some very talented women out there in Pop at the moment such as Madison O'Leary and Stephanie Fierce, just to name a few.

Q: What is your goal in your career?
A: To become the Queen of Pop!

Q: Isn't that asking for a bit much?
A: I feel that aiming high and setting high standards for yourself is the key in this industry, settling for second best won't get you noticed.

Q: Who do you class as an inspiration to you?
A: I'm inspired by David Bowie and Queen. I'm also inspired by fashion because it's an essential component to my songwriting and performances.

Q: What's on your rider? Are you a diva?
A: I don't like to share those details.

Q: Last question, what's the funniest thing that's happened to you in your career or maybe at a gig?
A: I was walking out of my hotel in London and there were a crowd of people screaming my name so I walked over and this girl was so nervous and she asked me to sign one of the balls which was on her necklace and as I was signing it, the whole necklace just basically broke apart and fell to the floor and she just stood there frozen. I tried not to laugh but it was just a moment where you had to be there to find it funny, I signed one of the balls on her necklace anyway and she was still happy. I'm sure they'll be a lot more funny moments to come in my career though.

ARTIST OF THE MONTH: JESSIE PRO

UserPostedImage

It was a long and painful wait as fans waited for her return, but recently it was revealed that Jessie Pro is back! We knew Pop had been missing something but we've now found it! The successful pop star recently released a cover album titled Cover Me With Kisses which managed to achieve a top 10 position around the world and has passed the 2 million mark after only 3 months of release. Recently, Jessie has topped the charts with covers "Meet Me Halfway" and "You Won't Forget About Me". However, fans may remember her from her own material which has also achieved success such as the chart topping hit "Delicious" and hits "Fast Heat", "Zip Me Up" and "It's Your Duty". We're glad to have Jessie back and we hope that she's here to stay for a long while.

REVIEWS

Broken Down on Memory Lane
PANIC!

What can be said about the long awaited fourth album by “sell outs” PANIC!? Before I listened to this, there were a lot of words I could have listed, but I have to admit I was wrong. It’s clear that heartbreak works well with lead singer Ryan Ross Hernandez, who not only wrote most the songs on the album but also happens to have produced it as well.
The highlight of the album is upcoming single “There’s Only One Exception When it Comes to Love”, which sums up the thoughts and feelings we’ve all felt at some point in our lives, mixing heartfelt lyrics with pure pop-rock perfection, complete with catchy hooks and riffs.
The low point? To be honest, there’s not many lows here for PANIC!, but if I had to choose it would be “All I Wanted Was (Me & You)”, which is a bit too sickly for my liking - think of a backdrop to a chick flick as the guy and girl have their split, before suddenly realising actually they lost the one and ultimately win them back, leaving everybody feeling happy and mushy (apart from the sad and still lonely singletons, of course).
This album is sure to be a favourite with fans worldwide, and those who aren’t PANIC! fans should have a listen too, because they will surprise you with this well crafted record which will have music lovers everywhere celebrating the fact that PANIC! didn’t crumble under the pressure of the past year.

4.5/5

VXI II: Part One
Volume 11

This album was released a couple of months ago, and hasn’t exactly been a hit. That said, it hasn’t been received too badly: it did, after all, reach top 40 in two countries.
Whilst not a bad effort, many tracks on this album sound painfully rushed and disappoints, as the basic songs sound promising and the band could have done so much more with it, if they could have been bothered.
The Papa Roach cover was a nice touch, however, and there are a couple of hidden gems, namely Mental Spasm and Eyes in the Dark, but they were used for the first two tracks, and the album just seems to get progressively worse from there, with the last few sounding just average, at best.
Disappointing album, overall, but shows some promise for the future - if the band work at it and take their time to craft their music before committing it to record.

3/5

Remember The Future
Pilot

The album cover is eye catching, artistic and thought provoking, and the album itself has moments where the tracks have the same effect.
One track even features Ashley Perry - which is a clever tactic, considering the success Perry and her bandmates have been having of late, and ‘All For You’ is an addictive track, beautifully written and composed and should be a hit with fans, even though its quite different from what I’m used to hearing from Pilot. Want some fast paced, rock fun instead? Then skip to ‘Accelerate’, a high powered, adrenaline releasing rock track which will get people gagging for more. Certainly one to watch.

4/5

The New Genocide Plot
Nile’s Fear

This is a record you will either love or hate. Yes, the skill and talent is there, but the hard and heavy drums, shredding guitars and screaming vocals may be too hardcore-metal for many BUT if that’s your thing, then this album is going to be your new obsession. Taking influence from Trivium, Avenged Sevenfold, Slayer and Machine Head, amongst others, this album is packed full of metal perfection and the drum solos are spectacular.

4.5/5

"Cut Loose"
The Rockers

To be honest, this song isn’t anything special. Musically, it’s catchy enough but once the lyrics kick in, it all goes downhill. Whilst we appreciate the sentiment of keeping songs simple every now and then, after a LOT of bands trying to outdo each other with “technical skills”, losing any sentiment or feeling in the lyrics. However, there is a difference between being simple yet creative and being simple because you can’t be arsed. Think of every anti-establishment cliché you can think of, and the Rockers have used it. Did they write this song, or did they just gather quotes from part-time google philosophers?!

TISHA JACKSON INTERVIEW

UserPostedImage

Q: Hey Tisha, how are you?
A: I am doing really great.

Q: So let's get straight to it, tell us about your upcoming album. Who did you work with and what is the name of it
A: The name of the album is called "To Whom It May Concern" and it's about everything I endured in the pass couple of months and it's about addressing certain people but not as so publicly and mistakenly as I did before but being able to write about them and my experiences by putting pen to paper. Well I can actually say that this was the most I spent crafting one of my albums into what I see as perfection in my eyes. I didn't want it to be an exact replication of the last album but not too fresh, so I worked with GirlSpice again, Madison O'Leary, Miss Vanity, Aerospliff and Dynamite. I just have a pleasure working with artist I never worked with before such as Aerospliff and Miss Vanity, and Dynamite who is new and I don't want to seem like one of those people who don't give a new artist a chance because these girls are great.

Q: And you've recently released a double a-side single "Whisper In The Dark/Bitch Fit" and also the single "The Celebration Has Come" which features Jessie Pro. Tell us a bit about those as well.
A: Well "Whisper In The Dark/Bitch Fit" was produce by GirlSpice and they really brought out the best of me as usual. But actually "The Celebration Has Come" wasn't planned to be on the album at all, but Jessie came to me and we caught up because we hadn't talked in a year. And I said we need to do another track together. And she immediately said yes and the next thing you know we are working on a video for the track together.

Q: Is this your favourite album to date and what is your favourite track from the album?
A: This isn't my favourite album but I can say this album made me do some deep searching to find an inspiration, so I would say it was the hardest album to put together.

Q: You also recently left your old label for Spice Records, a label which you have been signed to in the past and have a lot of history with. Why did you choose to sign to Spice Records once again?
A: Yes, Yes, there was a lot of history made at Spice Records. But being with Metamorphosis Records was absolutely a great experience because it was at a time where I was really happy and was surrounded by people in this industry that really loved me.

Q: You've also had your fair share of chart topping records in the past, what is your key to success?
A: My key to success is to just try to be the best at what you want to do. It's as simple as, if you wake up out the bed and all you can do is think about singing then you supposed to be a singer. Just try to fulfill every dream in the most positive light as possible.

Q: Will you be doing a tour soon?
A: Actually I am planning a world tour for 2010, but before that and before the album comes out I will be performing a 5 show tour live at Madison Square Garden.

Q: Now we have to bring up something else... you recently had a public feud with Stephanie Fierce which seemed very heated! Tell us more about that and have you solved your problems or are you just deciding to stay away from each other in future?
A: I really wish that it didn't get as out of hand as it did because it was really childish and something that I regret adding fuel to the fire with. I don't know what the future may hold but if we end up being friends in the end then it would be fine with me.

Q: You also thought you were being seen in the wrong light from the situation and received quite a lot of hate recently, what do you have to say to the haters?
A: It was extremely difficult for me because It had seemed as if everything I said was wrong, you know, it was like, oh no! Tisha, can't defend herself! But meanwhile others can say whatever they wanted to me. It just didn't look right in my eyes. And I thank everyone who gave me positive words and you know who you are.

Q: Who is a music inspiration to you?
A: I would have to definitely say Diana Ross, Mariah Carey, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Etta James, & Phyliss Hyman. They are truly amazing vocalists and them as people and there previous songs really inspire mine.

Q: Do you have a guilty pleasure?
A: My guilty pleasure I would have to say is food and guys. They are two of the greatest things.

Q: And finally, tell us a funny story that you've encountered in your career or during a show.
A: I remember when all the Eventual Records artist went on a tour and I was performing and I fell like flat on my butt. It was so embarrassing and I actually got some scars. And it was truly funny and embarrassing.

BILLY MADDISON INTERVIEW

UserPostedImage

Q: Hello Billy, how have you been lately?
A: I've been good, thank you! Enjoying a well deserved rest... well, I think it's well deserved, at least! You like the tan?

Q: So we all know that you've dominated this year with a million selling number one album along with two number one singles, how do you feel about all the success that you've achieved in such a short space of time?
A: It's quite strange, really. There's a part of me that thinks that if I made it straight away I'd find it a lot easier to deal with. I'd been trying to get into music for about fifteen years before I actually did and never got anywhere. Everytime I'd try to find a record label or to play at a respectable place I'd basically be told to "f**k off" and I was just about to give up, so when it came all of a sudden I was pretty shocked. I still am, to be honest. I think it's been 2 years since I first got recognised by a wider audience and I still don't feel like I belong! I'm expecting to be shot down any day now! It's a very nice thought, though, when I sit back and really think about it, when I see that people actually really enjoy my music. It reminds me that I'm doing something right!

Q: How do you deal with all the media attention and how do you stay grounded?
A: I just get on with it, really. I don't mind the media so much as long as they're not following me constantly - which they do sometimes! Then it can start grating on me, but I just grin and bare it, try to be polite and find the easiest place to escape into and disappear! As far as staying grounded is concerned, I just spend a lot of time with my family. I'm not really in touch with my parents or siblings, as they're all back in America, but Gemma and the kids keep me grounded. I'll go home to them every night and realise that this is what's really important. As soon as I go home at night, I realise that nothing out there matters.

Q: Well it's been over a year since the release of your debut album, have you started the second one yet and when do you think we will be getting it?
A: I have started it, actually! I think I wanna write probably one more song, then I'll be going into the studio. I kinda wanna get in and do everything myself - vocals, guitar, drums, piano... I'll probably get a bass player in just cos I hate bass *laughs*, so it will take me a little longer, but hopefully it'll be ready before Christmas. My last album and all my singles have always come together really quickly once I start recording, so hopefully this album will be the same. I realise I'm being a little ambitious, but I'll give it a try and see how it goes.

Q: So obviously we have to mention your most controversial single "Irreplaceable" which has sold over 700,000 copies, and is your best selling single to date. Why do you think a cover became your most successful single and do you plan on releasing more controversial material in the future?
A: Why was it so popular... probably because it was born out of something so high profile. I guess a lot of people wanted to know more, or wanted to pledge allegiance to one side, or something. I actually think it is a really good song, cos everybody has had at least one bad breakup, or one bad relationship and its just cathartic, to let it out when listening to a song. I just think there is so much more Beyonce could've done with the song: she didn't seem angry, and she didn't really put that sting into it, you know? That's why I changed up a few of the verses, rewrote a couple of them, changed the tempo, changed the entire feel of the song and made it one of the really angry "f**k you, I'll rub it in your face" kinda songs, that people probably haven't heard in a long time. Because I changed it up so much, as well, I think people wanted to hear it out of interest, after being like "Billy Maddison? Covering Beyonce? WHAT?!" I think a lot of people find that kind of song funny, as well. I do.
As for more controversy... I dunno, probably. I've never been one to shy away from controversy my entire life, BUT I know when to do it. I'm not gonna do something for the sake of getting people talking or to see "bad ass" or whatever. If I feel that strongly about something then I will follow my heart, I will get revenge, I'll do whatever I feel like doing to get over it. If it creates controversy along the way, then that's fine!

Q: People say you were a 'sell out' because of the controversial track and that you only wanted a bit of media attention, what would you like to say to those people?
A: Were you one of those people? *Gives evil look, then laughs* No, I'm just joking. I'd say those people don't know me very well at all! At the end of the day, without wanting to seem arrogant, I get enough media attention anyway without wanting to release a song to spark more of it. I get media attention walking to my car, for crying out loud! I'd also tell them to do their research first - I released my album before that single was even thought of and that went number one and had sold over a million already, so what does that tell you?!

Q: We recently heard about Gemma, how is she coping and will she be having the operation?
A: Yeah, she got injured pretty horrifically. Hearing the way she screamed, I thought she was dying - I was petrified! To be honest, she's hasn't taken it that well. She's devastated, and very, very scared of the surgery. She's convinced that if she has surgery, it'll go wrong and she'll come out in a wheelchair, but she will be having the surgery, regardless! I'll make her if I have to! She's in so much pain at the moment, I can't let her carry on like that, and if she leaves it much longer, then no surgery will be able to put it right. At least this way she'll stand a chance of getting back to doing what she loves.

Q: It can't be easy for this to happen just after your marriage, how is married life by the way?
A: Married life is great - and I'm not just saying that cos she'll be reading this!! Yeah, it wasn't easy but I just want to be there for her and I hope she realises that. We're used to having problems but this won't affect us. Even if the worst did happen and she wasn't able to perform or walk or do anything like that, it wouldn't matter to me. I'd still be married to her, I'd still love her so... It's just a shame that it caused such an abrupt end to an otherwise amazing honeymoon.

Q: Any regrets about marriage?
A: Oh, God, no! Why didn't I do is sooner?! I know a lot of people say "oh, it's just a peice of paper", but it really is so much more than that. To me, it marks the beginning of a whole new life together. It's made us a much stronger, closer couple and us and the kids feels like a real family now. To be able to stand up in front of all your friends and family - the entire world, even - and say this is the person I will love for the rest of my life, is just an overwhelming feeling. I feel secure now, I feel at home, because I'm not one of these people that believe in the whole "hollywood marriage" that lasts a few months or a year then you move onto someone else. For me, this is it. If I'm not married to Gemma, I don't wanna be with anyone else.

Q: Will we be expecting any more children in the future from you two or is now not the right time?
A: You know what? I'd LOVE more kids. The more the better, but I'm gonna let Gemma's back heal first!! But we both definitely want some more kids pretty soon.

Q: We all know that Miss Vanity nearly ruined that marriage, how do you feel about her?
A: You know, half of me wishes I could hate her, and yeah I do have some hostility towards her, but at the end of the day I pity her. I mean she must be a pretty messed up, cynical bitch to wanna do that to a couple. But, I don't really feel anything 'cos all she did was prove to the world that Gemma and I are serious, nothing will break us up for good. We've been through enough to know that we can fight through anything and still make it out together.

Q: Would you have rather Vanity being quiet about it all and not knowing about Gemma's minor slip up at her hen night or was this an overall good thing?
A: That's a really hard question! If I'm honest I'd rather have not found out, because it hurt like hell, especially finding out on my wedding day in front of everybody, but then again it has been positive for my own confidence in the relationship. It's been better for me, psychologically, actually because now I don't have to watch Gemma's actions and wonder if she will get off with somebody else because I cheated, and I wouldn't have to be overbearing and too eager to do everything in case she leaves me, because I felt I "owed" her anything. We're both even now, and so we can both draw a line under it and start again. From now on, there will be nobody else involved in our relationship. That's what the marriage is. A fresh start, and a clean slate.

Q: Well away from that now... who do you class as musical influences to you?
A: Thank God!! *Laughs* So many bands have been an influence on me, it's hard to pick just a few. Growing up it was The Rolling Stones, AC/DC, T-Rex, The Doors, Aerosmith, Guns 'n' Roses, Skid Row through to Nirvana, Black Sabbath and Michael Jackson, even. Then my sound has evolved over time as new bands came along and influenced me further, made me fall in love with music again. Bands like Velvet Revolver, Papa Roach... any band that have songs that make me feel again.

Q: Do you have a guilty pleasure?
A: In music or life? Both? Okay. Can sex be classed as a guilty pleasure? It's probably my biggest addiction! I smoke way more than I probably should and have a really sweet tooth.
Musically, it would probably be GirlSpice and Stephanie Fierce, although I'm not that guilty about it cos they're pretty good! But it's not my normal thing. I've also been known to have some *cough*Ricky*cough*Martin*cough* CDs indoors... I swear, Gemma plants them in my car!

Q: What's on your rider? Any must haves or is it just the simple bottled water?
A: Bottled water is a must, I'm a bit weird about drinking tap water. A lot of Red Bull and you know those mini egg things? The chocolate ones? Yeah, I love them! If possible I like to have a games console backstage just to blow off some steam waiting to go onstage, but I'm not one of these people that'll flip out if everything isn't how they want it to be.

Q: Last question, what's the funniest thing that's happened to you in your career or maybe at a gig?
A: The funniest thing? I have no idea! I'll probably say something now then think of something way better later! Um... There was this one time when some girl tried dressing up as Gemma to a gig and when I met her after the show she tried convince me she was Gemma and come home with me! This was despite her being like 5 inches too tall, with brown eyes and basically looking nothing like her! Then whipping out some handcuffs when I told her I have to politely decline her offer! She did actually latch it onto me, but security stepped in before she put it on herself... yeah, I laugh now, but at the time it was just weird! And it took near on an hour to get them off! It would be interesting to know what she was thinking though! Girl, if you're reading this, email in!!

THE XCLUSIVE

[b][center][color=black]On 1st September, Comatose Magazine published an article about a rumoured relationship between Aurora Fortin and Kimberly Gold of GirlSpice. We here at Spice Magazine wanted to investigate these claims further. We scoured the internet looking for bits and pieces that would point to a possible behind-the-scenes romance, and we found some. At first, we were skeptical because as far as everyone knows, both Aurora and Kimberly are straight. Aurora is currently pregnant with twins, and she’s due sometime in late January. Obviously she was impregnated by a man, and also, who would choose to become pregnant whilst on a four-month-long tour? So we checked out Aurora’s Twitter account, and because Kimberly doesn’t personally have one, we looked at the official GirlSpice twitter. 1st September GirlSpice and Aurora made plans to spend the day in Denmark together. On 6th August, Kimberly tweeted, “@aurorafortin Yay! Can't wait to see you there.” Obviously the two are at least friends. So we dug deeper. Some fan sites even reported that Aurora and Kimberly were planning to get married! The only way to really find out what was going on, we decided, was to contact Aurora and Kimberly directly. At first, their representatives from their label Boy Toy Entertainment would not return our phone calls. We, of course, were persistent, and it paid off. Spice Magazine secured the only public interview with both Aurora and Kimberly together, and we are proud to give you it. Below is their entire interview. It’s very surprising, and you won’t want to stop reading!

Spice Magazine (SM): Well, we’d like to thank you girls for making time in your schedules to come down here for an interview.

Kimberly Gold (KG): Your welcome, and I’m glad to be here.
Aurora Fortin (AF): Yes, I’m glad to be here too.

SM: Let’s start with you first Aurora. How are you? How’s being pregnant?

AF: I’m fine, the pregnancy is going great. Just a couple days ago I found out the genders of the babies, and I’m so excited!

SM: Would you like to share the genders with us?

AF: Sorry, but you’ll just have to wait until I give birth! *giggles*

SM: And when is that?

AF: My due date was just pushed up, I’m now due 28th January 2010.

SM:...

"Crap, I never thought we would get a near-perfect score. Glad to see a reliable sourced media outlet, unlike most out there."

"Eh, I can't take much credit, I only wrote one song by myself and sang like five times along with Ashley. And whenever I did it would be some angst-fueled, "I miss the girl so much" weepers. Thanks for the score, maybe I should get my heartbroken more often." =]
