I'm a new user and want to eventually get started in roleplay......how does roleplay work and what can I do to start? |

Roleplay is where you take your band characters and play out there lives. You have conversations with the other guys, release albums, and basically live there life as if they were real people. Its kind of like writing a movie, only easier and not as boring. To get started, I would post something to introduce your band, play it out like they just got together, have them talk about who they are and what kind of music they play and that sort of thing.
One of the main things I suggest, is to read others posts, and get ideas, and learn from them. That will always be your biggest asset, even after you have figured it out. |

I was thinking of posting an interview introducing the band and the individual members. Is this along the lines of how I should go about starting? I'm still a little confused on how to further the band's story. |

You can look at some people's in "Website Threads- The Big List" to get an idea of how to do it. When yo go to the Big List click on a name of any artist or band and it will take you to their homepage thread. And if you are portraying a real band make sure someone else isn't portraying them already. In your Home page thread, you can post the interview you wrote. Also us bold, italic and underlining when you post large threads, presentation goes a loooooooooooooooong way. Even if you write about three lines, if you make it looks good and throw a few pictures in you'll get away with it. |
