Now, there's no denying that there is a very strong side to
Firecracker 47. We have ubertalent in "alpha male" James D. Kairiri on bass guitar and bass vocals, who keeps the music going, with the help of Joshy's glass-smashin' "what are testicles again?" tenor voice. Then we have the contrasting "alpha queen" Joshua Ginger Firecracker, who lends his name and his rather well-known sickly sweet happiness to the band. If anyone gets into the celeb spotlight, into love triangles/squares/spiderwebs, it'll be Joshy, and of course, James is always there to catch him when he falls. As for how they look, Joshy's got the "pretty boy" thing going on that so many teens scream for. James - freaky eyes, washboard stomach - Twilight who? In conclusion, between them, Joshy and James have the musical talent, stage presence, charisma and looks to entrance us all ....
.... hang on, what did you say about two other band members!?
Let's start with Joshy's twin sister Roxana Katraba Firecracker. Roxy isn't a bad guitarist - she's just not a particularly good one either. Her mediocrity adds little, if anything, to the music. Her personality is equally lacking. Roxy's a heavy girl in even heavier eyeliner who hangs around her brother, and that's pretty much it. And last and definitely least, Misty "Mikki" Moo. She is the drummer, backing vocalist and token Maxim cover girl of both F47 and
In The Cold You Look So Fierce. Ask yourself this - why is the ultimate brilliance/madness on the drums of Nick Biggs inactive, while Mikki Moo, who can barely tap her fingers in time, is lending her inability to not one but two bands!? All that Mikki has is her looks - must admit, those luscious long legs are enough to get any guy airstriking! - and
Moronic Changeling's Chrissy Pratt as a designer handbag.
So, it's basically F47 boys vs. recovering the whole band (which is hanging by a thread) - and, for the first time ever, I'm with the boys.
I say that this band would make an awesome twosome.
-Jimmy Bishop.
